I love this place, I always come here to get my bagel fix. I do agree with the others that some of the people working there are rude. Depends who’s there that day. But all in all the bagels never disappoint! The Sunrise is my fav!

The bagels are great. This place is amazing and the customer service is good. They were friendly and ready to help me. I’m definitely coming back here.

BESTBAGELSHANDSDOWN. I have been to many bagel shops all around California and this place sells some dam good bagels. From the onion, garlic, plain, egg, cinnamon raisin, to whatever they are just about all delicious. My only beef with this place is the service. They are verrry verrry slow. And they make no apologies for it either. Kinda crazy this place has a drive thru… I guess pretty cool. I went inside. Took forever to get thru the line. Maybe they need more workers or something. I was in a hurry and trying to be reasonable but after an ordeal of more than 20min it gets ridiculous. Guess next time I will try to hit this joint at a better time to try and cut down on the wait time. If there’s more than 4 ppl in front of me next time I am out.

The hope and prayer is that this bagel bakery and its managemement will rise to the challenge of improving its service and store ASAP. I wonder if management even checks Unilocal or cares, frankly, so I would also write the owner/store management directly and the local business bureau(or whoever handles concerns). The store’s quality in service has gone down and the concern for its less than stellar hygenic environment is rising. No wonder I see less people frequent this store(see the Monterey one). I grew up eating Bagel Bakery for the past 20+ years. This location in Sand City really needs help — a remodel and overhaul. The floors and counters are dirty(look behind and under the back counters) and the sanitary conditions of the food is questionable. Place needs to be brightened up, a professional scrub down, and a new prep area. See the food prep area. I also once saw ants trailing along the sticky counter and sugar dispensers near the coffees. No one likes to be greeted with a stern, unmoving frown and unhappy attitude. It was quite shocking and funny to see this from the older worker wearing a hat while me and my husband were in positive spirits. She needs to improve her customer attitude(clearly she hates working there and doesn’t care) or not work there anymore and be released. The one young lady was lovely, friendly and quick on the other hand. Bravo to her for staying spirited with a grumpy coworker. As for the bagels, they are quite good. Small and a bit chewy. Best fresh in the morning of course. The veggie sandwich, cinnamon raisin as well as the sundried tomatoes one are favs. This is a tough critique but I have real nostalgia about Bagel Bakery and want it to shine again. Once it’s turned around, many more will frequent this location and return.

Ordered the Sunrise, eggs, bacon and cheese. It’s okay, the bagel itself is delicious — bagels are fresh, baked daily. Their coffee was lukewarm, but that’s probably because it’s almost 11(we had a late start this morning).

This place makes the best bagels! The Sunrise egg bacon and cheese breakfast bagel is to die for! They can be very busy at times(because they are so yummy) but the workers are always trying hard to work fast and get everyone on their way in the morning. The drive thru is so convenient when you have little ones. Try it out!

Darn! I didnt check reviews b4 i agreed to my Daughters request to grab a quick bite. We walk in and Sargent Slaughter and her private look at us like they want to kill us for entering the building. I order and the lady says, «Bagel!» Lol! I say yes. She growls and says,“WHATKINDOFBEAGEL!” Oh! Garlic bagel please. She moves on to growl at my daughter. Before she can scare my son i tell him,“Adam, know what bagel u want b4 you order” anyhoot! I got a sandwich called Andrea’s Fault(so i blame her) Garlic Bagel tasted like garlic powder was simply burnt on top, had to add hot sauce for it to have any flavor. The displays were grimy, the employees were miserable and they showed it. Maybe put some music on for them, people skills course or maybe pay them more. I recommend you do come here just for the laugh.

I’m not usually one to write a review, but this made me do it. I love the bagel bakery, I go to the pg one normally, but sometimes I’ll go to the seaside shop because it’s convenient if you’re out here. So I came here twice in two days for my normal sandwich, and they’ve messed up both times. Yesterday, 4 different sandwiches were ordered on 4 different bagels, but when we got home we saw that she made them all on superseed bagels. Okay maybe she just spaced it. But then today, a totally different girl messes up on an order of 2 sandwiches on 2 different bagels. These girls are rude, incompetent, and they just have the most upset look on their faces. You hate your job, we get it. But please don’t take it out on my bagel. Overall I’m giving them 2 stars because despite the wrong orders, the bagels are still delicious.

This place is convenient yes, but that’s it’s only plus. EXTREMELYRUDESERVICE, especially the females, and 99% of the time my order is wrong. And when I try to order my iced chi, it comes out warm and flavorless. I keep going back however because the one type of sand which I order is pretty good but they ALWAYS forget to add the avocado that I order, so when I call them on it they act like it’s my fault, I usually get a eye roll accompanied by them asking«well can we just put it to the side of the bagel?» NO! It’s really early in the morning when I go, so I definitely don’t have the patience for rudeness and just plain stupidity. Hoping one day they open another bagel place in sandcity, because guaranteed this place will get shut down!

I’ve come to this location a lot and been consistently disappointed with the service. I keep coming back, however, because I really like bagels. I’ve read a lot of reviews and they coincide with everything that has gone on in my experience with this store. Bad attitudes, rude behavior, messing up my order and strange pricing differences when I always order the same thing. I honestly don’t understand how a business can run like this. with all these bad reviews, potential complaints and over all horrible service. Who’s the manager?! The GM?! And why aren’t they ensuring that their business be run properly with employees that actually care about what a guest wants and their needs. Not that difficult in my opinion.

Such a disappointment. Ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese and ham in the drive through. Took them ten minutes to just take my order and another five to get my food. Only one car was in front of me. They didn’t toast my bagel, and I ordered a coffee(which they forgot about) and they handed me a Luke warm cup and they didn’t even have regular sugar, only substitutes. The girls were extremely rude. Will not ever return and I’ve been a customer for over ten years. This business is going down the drain.

I think this is not the finest of locations. The staff is not very friendly. I enjoy their bagels, especially the cinnamon sugar bagel, but unfortunately due to how they today all the bagels together by sweet bagel has tasted like onion and garlic too many times for me to return to this location.

I come to this bagel bakery quite often only because it’s on my way to work and has a drive thru very convient. I give one star because the attitudes these employees have is straight. Also every time i get the same exact thing a superseeed bagel with jalapeño cream cheese and tomatos toasted with a thai iced tea. So tell me why one day it’s $ 5.58 the next $ 6.55 the next $ 6.22 wtf??? Does each person just charge you wtf they want? Weird and annoying. Goes hand in hand with the rudness and lack of customer service they have. What would you like., pull up to the window so professional. It don’t take that much work to slap some condiments on a bagel and push some buttons so why such the bad attitudes???

I have been to The Bagel Bakery in Sand City many times in my life, but NEVER have I been so dissatisfied as today, 10/15/2014. I drove up to the drive through, ordered a VERY simple plain bagel toasted with cream cheese, and the first thing the girl did was laugh, ask her co-worker what I said, then I heard the co-worker laugh, then she very unprofessionally asked what I said not only once, but THREE more times. I am not quiet! I was not mumbling! It was outrageous. Next, I order a bagel with Salami, sprouts, and avocado, and she yet again makes me repeat it several times over because every time she said the order back to me it was incorrect. After she finally got my order down, she laughed and notified me that they were out of salami. So I ordered a sesame bagel with cream cheese, which she STILL could not get down. SOSIMPLE. I asked for a gatorade, she laughed and told me they were out. At this point I was angry and frustrated, but glad to be done with their god-awful 15 year old ‘order here’ speaker. I get to the window, and I kid you not, SHEASKEDWHATMYORDERWAS, AGAIN. She made me repeat the entire thing, so what is the use in the speaker where you order at all??? She took my money before telling me the total, had my 10 dollar bill in her hand and was talking to a co-worker and then opened the cash register and then told me the total, NOTOKAYBYANYMEANS. When I got my bagels, they were both completely cold, bagel halves weren’t anywhere close to matching up with each other, and when I bit in, SOUR. Absolutely disgusting. My boyfriend and I will be spreading the word about the HORRIBLE service, and DISGUSTINGLYUNFRESH products. I wouldn’t be surprised if the drive-through window gets week old bagels and leftover cream cheese. I kid you not, it was THAT bad. We both had to throw away our bagels after the first bite. thanks for the water at least, to wash it all down!

Please come to Marin, please!!! The sandwiches were so good, cheap in price, and pretty quick service! My friend and I got 3 sandwiches, a bagel dog, 2 packs of bagel chips, bag of Cheetos, fresh OJ, and coffee between us and spent less than $ 28. I couldn’t believe it! And it was good!!! Mcdonalds prices with fine dining taste. I wish you were in Marin so I could eat here all the time. Please consider it!!! I’d keep you in business for sure! :-)
