A decent place to get a meal. Not outstanding but, not bad either. I had the Prime Rib $ 20. The portions are good, and was cooked to the correct temp. Not steak house quality but not $ 50 either. Sandwiches are good. Went into the Bar once service was horrid. Stick with the food side.

I have been coming here for quite a while. I recently moved into the neighborhood. I really enjoy the look and feel of the place. While I haven’t tried everything, I have a few favorites. I think the prime rib dip is pretty good. My only complaint is the lousy bread. They really need to fix that. I also like the lunch ground sirloin dip, same problem with the bread. The fish and chips is pretty awesome. Avoid the happy hour deal. They skimp on the fish. Their french fries are your average frozen fries. The bar is nice. A couple of tvs and a fun place to watch the local teams. And I should probably mention that it’s not inexpensive. But it is a fair price.

Went back to give the one last chance. Not a good idea. Service was horrid, and food was so so. Concerned about sanitary issues after reading King County Health Grades so will not be back. What used to be a fabulous restaurant is now awful. Very sad

The food here is alright but the service is the worst I’ve ever experienced! They used to have a gentleman waitor that was good but now it’s an old rude mean hag. Seriously have never been treated so poorly in my life! Run from this place!

It’s perfect at what it does. Casual food, good prices, nice atmosphere. Really good fish & chips & the Reuben is to die for. Couldn’t have had nicer service.

Nice servers, not so good food quality wise. I’d compare it to a nicer Denny’s. Would love to like this place more since it’s our local neighborhood restaurant.

Ray: It had been a few weeks since Josh and I got together for our weekly visit and dinner. The holidays were just too busy for us to meet. Last Thursday we headed north on Highway 99 up to the 125th Street Grill. There was ample space in the restaurant parking lot, so that was nice. Once inside there was the dining room or the bar. The dining room was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. The bar on the other hand, was lively and busy. We chose the bar, being the lively folks that we are. We sat ourselves and didn’t wait long before our waiter arrived for our drink orders. I went with an IPA. I can’t remember which one though… The menu was pretty nice with a good selection of salads, pastas and grilled steaks and seafood. I thought the prices were a little high, but all in all, felt pretty comfortable with the items offered. I ordered the Seafood Fettuccini. It sounded too good to pass up. Halibut, shrimp, clams and much more. I had a salad as an appetizer, which arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The salad was nothing to rave about. There was a tomato wedge in the salad that sucked. It tasted like it had been previously frozen. Other than that it was ok. The fettuccini arrived quicker than I anticipated. The plating was very thoughtful and smelled heavenly. There were two slices of grilled garlic bread accompanying. Funny thing… one of the slices(on the bottom) was absolutely covered with chopped rosemary. Don’t get me wrong, I love rosemary, but I feel that it is a strong herb and felt it was WAY too much for the bread. Every bite left my lower lip caked with chopped rosemary. Yet the other slice of bread had no rosemary at all. I believe the bread must have been unintentionally sliced on some chopped rosemary. Al least I hope so… The meal itself was fantastic. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the flavors were all there. Very enjoyable indeed! I would definitely take my wife or a visiting guest to the 125th street grill. I am going with four stars that could have been five with a little more attention to details. Check them out, you will not leave disappointed. Josh: Last Thursday we ventured into the great white north(well, maybe not so white), all the way up to 125th street and Aurora to pay a visit to the appropriately named 125th Street Grill. I checked out the menu online beforehand, and I noticed the presence of «early-bird specials» and the like, I had a feeling about what to expect. We arrived and found easy parking in the parking lot. We walked in the front door to what looked like a very bland Denny’s. Not that it’s a bad thing, but I’d say the average age of the patrons dropped to about sixty when I walked in. It looks very much like the kind of place that would have an early-bird special. There was no host at the front, despite the presence of a sign instructing to wait to be seated. We kinda walked one way, then the other, to get the attention of a seating agent. As we waited, we could hear music and rousing conversation around a corner in the bar area. We decided to sit in there for dinner, thinking it might be a little more entertaining then the very bland dining room. The bar looked like some place you’d see near the airport. It’s got a very«Burien» feel to it. We took a look at the menu, which looked pretty good, and started narrowing down the possibilities. I thought I knew about what to expect, I mean, we’ve visited probably close to 200 places at this point. I thought I was taking my chances when I ordered the Cajun salmon pasta, but when it arrived I was proven very wrong. So wonderfully wrong. This food was very good. Unexpectedly good. It was a very nice surprise. The pasta was full of flavor, the sun-dried tomatoes and garlic were outstanding. And the salmon as a filet on top was cooked to tender perfection. I loved it. The service was a little slow getting menus and water, and finding a hostess, so I can’t really go with 5 stars, but definitely a solid 4. Very, very delicious dinner from the 125th Street Grill!

Well, so far the other reviews are right. No hostess waiting around place is filled with old folks. She finally sat me at a sticky table. She was nice enough but clearly had too many tables. Coffee was ok which is an absolute requirement in Seattle at a minimum. The food was just fine as it should be. The bacon a little flimsy so, they need to keep up with the times people don’t want flimsy bacon anymore if they do they go to McDonalds. No checkback, which would have been nice I wanted more syrup been there mini pitcher provided. Now I’m waiting for more coffee of course. All in all I would come back because of so close by and because of the efforts that you make on the inside to keep it clean and the food is just fine I have no problem with that part. I do have a problem with a big sign outside say they are Seattle’s best breakfast. That’s horseshit… says who? From the outside it’s borderline whether or not you would want to go in… From the inside it’s a good step above Denny’s, but its not CJS.

You know what… Elderly people are a culinary GOLDMINE! If you are the kind of person that thinks that younger people know more about food, then for one you’re a moron, and for two, you have NOIDEA what you’re missing out on here… Which is fine, cause that leaves more for me!!!

Do not go to this restaurant. Huge waste of money. Slow service, poor food, overall not great! Smells bad too.

I’d give this place a solid 3 ½ stars, rounding up because I’m an optimist. We only ever come here for Sunday dinner, because that’s when kids eat FREE! You have to ask for the kids eat free deal. Kids even get a free dish of ice cream with their meal. Again, you have to ask, don’t be shy! The place itself is in a super sketchy location, and the prices for the dinners are a bit high, I stick to the sandwiches which are tasty and reasonably priced. The fries are also good. Avoid the nachos, they’re sub par. So again, go on Sundays, ask for your kids to eat free, order a sandwich and fries and a Mack n Jack’s. The whole family is happy!
I’ve got Bill Withers on the airwaves, great Seahawks shtick on the walls and a belly full of the corned beef hash and poached eggs special. Geez, what more do you people want? ;) For real though, before you even walk into this place, imagine what the service and food is going to be like and you probably won’t be disappointed. Yes, that means keep your expectations low, people. It’s a bar & grill on north Aurora– that usually doesn’t conjure up images of culinary utopia. I’ve never sat in the restaurant once– I’m more of a bar type of guy, so yes, from what I can tell, the restaurant atmosphere is dead on with the descriptions here. This is one of those places your Grandma likes to hang at as it harkens her back to the older days. The ones where fillers and gelatinous sauces were celebrated! Look, 125th Grill serves a niche. It caters to an older crowd, a tighter budget and certainly not a big city«foodie» looking to find a hidden gem. This is a great place to grab a burger and watch a game, suck down a drink with locals on the way home or like I often do, grab breakfast while I’m waiting for my car next door at Les Schwab. Keep your expectations simple for a simple little place and you might find them exceeded. (the poached eggs and corned beef special today was a great example of being pleasantly surprised.) 3 star for fitting what’s to be expected and never having an issue during my visits.

Dreadful. Didn’t even get to the food. Walked in at 2:30pm on a Saturday w/2 kids for lunch. I like to try new places in search of a gem, but this ain’t it. Place looked fine. No hostess. Looked around. A few patron’s, the young ones in their 60’s. Small plates and coffee drinkers. Strike one. Wait 5 minutes. Still no hostess, no waitress, nothing. Is there anyone working here? Strike 2. Finally a waitress or hostess appears and asks me if we’ve been helped. I answer«No, we’ve been waiting here over 5 minutes». Without saying anything, she heads to the back to apparently look for someone to help us. Not sure. No idea where she went. Strike 3. We’re outta here. Won’t be back. F.

This place was okay. I attended this location with a fairly large party. We were seated pretty quickly in a private room. The food came out with in a reasonable amount of time considering our large party. I tried the Cobb salad and the French dip sandwich. Both of which nothing to brag about. Exactly what one would expect when you walked in. The décor and I must say demographic was pretty old fashioned. I’m not usually in that area, so unless I was already there which we were. it’s not something I would particularly care to even remotely go out of my way for.

Went in to kill 30 minutes before seeing a movie. Grabbed a beer at the bar. Bartender was not friendly. She was rude with us and we also overheard her snap at an elderly man that was eating by himself. Pretty sad. In glancing over their menu their food sounded good and was well priced so we may go back for an actual meal, but don’t expect a smile with your beer in the bar area.

Went there for brunch and it wasn’t especially crowded. 25 minutes later, our order had still not been taken. 25 minutes after that, we were finally served our brunch. 50MINUTES from being seated to being served — in a DINER! Unbelievable. The food, however, was excellent.

You know, I read all the reviews ahead of time, and most of it was spot on. The service was very warm and family friendly, the atmosphere is a step above a Perkins/Village Inn, and because my expectations weren’t super high, I had a GREAT time and would go back with my young kids! Definately neighborhood/older clientel, the clam chowder and rueben were both quite good, and the calamari had a unique presentation and was serviceable. Oh, nice plus, we could get microbrew/macrobrew pitchers of beer woot!(including Manny’s well done). It deserves a «3» for average/good food, and a 4+ for very warm, attentive and professional service, better than you’d expect for the location for sure! Bottom line, I would recommend it, will go again, and will bring the kids! :)

3.5 stars? I admit I was skeptical when my brother dragged us here. He said there was all you can eat fish and chips, but it turns out thats only on Mondays and Tuesdays. This place is nothing fancy but the food is decent for a diner and the staff seems nice and works hard. I think its a family business. The grilled salmon I had was a nice portion and tasted good. The veggies were alright and there was a yummy baked potato. My brother’s fish and chips were pretty good. My dad’s fried oysters had been sitting there too long. I thought it was a little expensive for what it was. Side note: seriously random but they have huge bathrooms with dressing and rest areas. I thought it was funny considering it wasn’t a very fancy restaurant. All in all, a decent diner. Bumped it up because they have a great team.

The only time I would ever suggest coming here is for breakfast, which is only served on the weekends. Warning: the place is swamped with elderly people, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but if you’re looking for some hip Seattle place, this isn’t it. I come here every so often with family or friends for breakfast and bloody marys, the staff is very friendly and the service is good. Food is okay. Nothing to rave about, but nothing to hate on either(REMINDER: I’m only talking about breakfast!) I wouldn’t suggest coming here for dinner, in fact I would recommend going elsewhere to spend your dinero for a lunch or a dinner. Pricey, and mediocre food.
