This is one of the best barbershops in Seattle. I’m in the Marine Corps, and by regulation I always need a professional haircut and Scott is one of the only ones that can do a great fade.(I’ve been to MANY barbershops) Walk-ins only, which is totally fine with me! I like to have the ability to just walk in and get a cut without the fuss of setting up an appointment. HIGHLYRECOMMENDED for young and old gentlemen alike.

This is as close to the classic barber shop vibe as you can get. I’ve been going to see Scott since moving to the area and have been nothing but happy with the cuts he’s given me, his skill with those clippers is pretty impressive. Also the fact that you can drink beers while you wait your turn is pretty awesome. I highly recommend going here for your next cut.

Super friendly and nice guy here. I’ve had two haircuts here and they’ve both turned out really well. The price is reasonable, and it’s quick but not rushed.

Didn’t realize it was cash only and I didn’t have cash on me. He cut my hair anyway and said I could come back and pay him later. That was great. Plus my hair looked pretty good!

I was visiting from San Francisco and got one of my best cuts here. The price was cheap, the cut was on point, and the conversation was great. The owner(I believe his name was Scott) hooked it up with plenty of great sightseeing and eating recommendations and finished the job off with a soothing neck shave. I would definitely recommend this spot to anybody who is looking for a high value cut at $ 20. If my hair is long next time I’m in Seattle, I’ll definitely be back.

I’ve been going to Scott for close to a decade. It’s a true barber shop: men only(unless Mom is bringing her guys in), lively conversation across all topics, sometimes a game on the TV, and always a great haircut. The shop itself is clean and comfortable. Scott is personable, funny and always willing to either join in or start up a conversation. What’s really important are the haircuts. Mine has been consistently fantastic for all my time there, and it’s not an easy haircut. The straight razor finish on the neck and sideburns are equally good, and really give that extra something to the look. If you are looking for fancy, pretentious salons, then keep looking. If you are looking for a classic barber shop where you can get a great haircut(and maybe a cold beer), then go here. You won’t regret it.

Much of what others have said rings true: Scott is a nice and interesting guy, the location is pretty nice, and this is more of a true barbershop feel than most places. This is also a better cut than one you’ll find at Supercuts, Great Clips, or Sports Clips. However, I don’t know what he’s doing for y’alls hair, but I can’t believe the rating is 5⁄5 after 17 previous reviews. Here’s my experience: I’ve tried a lot of different places in Seattle, and after I got fed up with Rudy’s, I came here. The first haircut Scott gave me was great – one of the best I’ve ever gotten. However, the four subsequent haircuts were terrible. Wear-a-hat-for-a-week awful. Bad enough that I regretted getting my hair cut at all. I asked for more to be left in the front and around the corners to make my hair look fuller, and each time he’s taken more off the front and more off the corners – the exact opposite of what I wanted. Each time I’ve been more specific about what I want and nothing has changed. It’s been bad enough that when I’ve gone to different barbers, they’ve commented on how poorly my last cut must have been, based on how it grew out. So, Scott, I gotta go. Thanks for that first cut, thanks for the good conversation and everything, but I’m going to try someplace else. If anybody has recommendations on good places to try, I’m now officially looking for a new barbershop in Seattle.

Scott is great. Awesome atmosphere, real old school feel. I needed a haircut for my brother in laws wedding. It can always be scary trying someone new, but that fear was eliminated once I walked in. Very cordial, even though I was a New England Patriots fan in Seahawks nation. See you in the super bowl! Thanks again for the cut! Check this guy out, you won’t regret it!

No wash, no head massage. But the barber is attentive to his work, strikes up a light chat to keep the mood from going dull. Does NOT pay attention to the game on the TV. My hair isn’t easy to cut but he certainly tries his best.

Had some time to kill figured I’d go get my hair cut. Was not disappointed quick work and the shop was busy which is always a good sign. Will definitely go back.

My husband has been looking for a good barber for years. After trying places all around the city, he’s finally found someone to give him a great haircut that he’s extremely happy with at «barber» prices(vs «salon» prices). We wanted to get my son’s haircut too(Scott offers a father/son special), but the 2 year old had other ideas about that. Scott had a great demeanor with my son who was happy to accept the chocolate, but who was not into scissors.

I’ve been to a ton of barber shops in Seattle Ieg, Rudy’s, University, Roosevelt, etc…). Scott is as good as it gets. I’ve gone in there with some disasters from other barber shops and he seems to have the ability to fix it and me look proper. Haircuts are $ 21 for adults, which is fair priced considering the disasters I’ve had for much much more. I recommend Scott, he’s really chatty and will offer you a beer despite the time of the day, I have yet to take him up on that offer.

Fantastic barbershop. The price is right and Scott always does a great job. I am a regular and will continue to be so. I don’t know why anybody would go anywhere else to get their hair cut.

I’ve been looking for a regular barber in the Seattle area for over a year now, and after many mediocre and/or overpriced cuts throughout the city, I have decided that Scott will be my regular barber from now on. He is skilled, efficient, and quite affordable, and the vibe of the shop is very low-key and comfortable.

As others have mentioned, the price is great, $ 17 + tip. Scott is also a super friendly, down to earth guy and will talk to you about Seattle, sports, anything. Great service too! My hair is weird to cut, as the sides will sometimes stick straight out 1 – 2 weeks after a haircut. I went back to the shop after two weeks to have my sides adjusted, and he took care of it, no charge. Scott is a stand-up, experienced barber: highly recommended.

Scott is a wonderful barber! He cuts my dad’s har, my boyfriend’s hair and my son’s hair. He started cutting my son’s hair when he was just over 1 year old and definitely knows what he’s doing! He works fast and does a good job to try to keep my boy happy! He has terrific conversation and knows the area well, he can give you great restaurant recommendations. I love the old school feel of the shop, it’s like taking a step back in time! Great service, reasonable prices and terrific haircuts! We travel nearly 20 miles to get our haircuts and I wouldn’t consider anyone else!

Great spot to get a nice hip do for my 9 yr old son for just 17 bucks. A grown up space but kid friendly. We got Scott, a nice fellow who is a true Seattle lite, just like me! Always nice to meet other home growns. I am not too fond of strictly kid hair places that charge up a yahoo so that your kid gets a meh haircut with some glittery goop. This place is chill and pleasant and we’ll be back.

Found this place while traveling, first and only time going probably… But WOW what a nice barber shop! Friendly staff, excellent cut, and a straight blade trim on the neck. Couldn’t be happier!

Consistency is key! I’ve been getting my hair cut here for 22 years! The current owner, Scott, is highly consistent, and has a great chair-side manner; always full of great stories & makes it worth coming back every time. Clean, even lines & even does a good beard trim if required. You can’t get a better cut at such a great price!

I started going here last year when it was located in Ballard. Being new to the area, it was nice to be able to find a great haircut at a reasonable price. I have been going here ever since. It’s definitely the type of place where everyone knows one another and newcomers are always made to feel welcome. Scott is always talking about whatever is going on in the world(or Seattle) and is able to work his way through any small group that is waiting for haircuts quickly(usually one or two people). If you are looking to get your haircut by a professional but don’t want to go to a «stylist» and be able to walk out with some money left in your wallet, then this is the place to go.
