I come here every single year for cakes(I’m from Vancouver). They are silky smooth and rich — don’t let the size fool you into thinking you won’t get full from one. The Café Diablo cake looks small, but you will want to cut small slices as it is deceptively rich and delicious. These cakes are admittedly pricier than what you would find in other places. This is expected as it’s like eating a rich and dense mousse rather than a regular cake. However, it is well worth the extra cost. My only nitpick is that I do wish that they had some sort of sign on the place. It is very much hidden inside a warehouse and there’s no outward sign that the place exists. However, if you can find it, it’s a gem.

These desserts are the bomb! They are so hard to describe as they aren’t like other desserts, the texture is truly silky, the flavor incredible. About the best I can do is to say they are the best desserts I have ever eaten. No so much a walk up as a web based business, I don’t have a clue about the rating from Beach B. I’ve never had better.

The pies really are as fine as silk! Really like the crème brûlée, which was exceptional. My other favorites were some of the chocolate pies and the gingerbread fountain. Loads of parking in the huge parking lot. But it was a bit hard to find as I was expecting a large sign on the outside of the building announcing the Alaska Silk Pie Company. The 5-year anniversary party was amazing! Great food, amazing pies, and interesting people.
