I usually really like this place. But I can only give them a 3 star. I recently bought a sheet cake and wasnt impressed. The cake fell apart as I was cutting into it and there wasn’t a lot of coconut. I would think for the price there would be more of a real filling… other than the same frosting they use around the cake. Its unfortunate, there was no ube taste or authenticity.

Don’t get me wrong, this place has delicious filipino baked goods however, the service we experienced was different. My father and I came in with only $ 15 and when it came down to it the total for the things we bought was beyond $ 15 by a couple cents. When I told the lady that we don’t want to take the pan de sal anymore she asked her coworker on how to void the transaction. The coworker, whose name I’m not sure of went to the register and I heard her mumble, «…walang pera» meaning «no money…» I felt that what she had said was rude and unprofessional of her. And there was another customer beside us and the ladies working behind the counter were saying «OH maraming pera yan!!»…“OH she has ALOT of money!!” This just comes to show that they are more concerned about your money than they should care about the customer’s satisfaction. I expected more from them and this incident makes me not want to go back to this bakery ever again, despite how good their bread may be.

1 star for the Ube cake, 1 star for the Pandan cake and 1 star for little less than mediocre service. The Ube cake and Pandan cakes are actually good — but we can’t choose a business with bad communication practices and feel confident that they’ll remember to bring the cake for the wedding.

Not sure why tne reviews are that good. I find this place mediocre when it comes to its pastries. Daughter ordered millefeuille and it was a disappointment. All I remembered from the ube cake when I first got to Seattle is it was sweet, sweet, sweet! It’s nothing like I expected it to be and I’m still beating my head why Goldilocks is too darn far away! My son ordered chocolate cake and he liked it. Thus, they get three stars for.
I decided to get hopia and I wish I could pelter someone with them; they’re these little piece of lard with hard beans in the middle.
We have tried the ube bread here but I’ll still go for Valerios. All in all, this place is not worth coming back to imho.

This review is long overdue. We ordered a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cake from Despi Delite. It was incredible and tasted better (they hardly ever taste good when they look this good!). Lots of compliments and inquires from the guests, and best of all, my 4-​year-​old was over the moon! Only drawback was the cost. It was very pricey but obviously took lots of labor to produce.

I recently purchased my son’s birthday cake here. It was an awesome cake, and pretty tasty as well! We chose a ¼ sheet pandan cake (the green one), which was light and not overly sweet. The total was $ 41.
My only complaint is with their communication. When I first called them, expressing interest in a birthday cake, I asked if they did cake tastings of the different flavors. The employee told me yes, and that the $ 15 dollar tasting could be applied toward the final cake price. Awesome! I decided it was worth a drive to Beacon hill from the east side. Then when I called to order our cake, a different employee told me that only applies for cakes over a certain price ($ 140 I believe). When I told him what I’d been told, he just repeated only over a certain price. In short, I didn’t feel like that was very good customer service, since their employees were giving out different information. I probably would have skipped the tasting if the initial info had been accurate. Oh well :/​
Even with that frustrating miscommunication, I was very happy with my son’s birthday cake and would order from this bakery again (without a cake tasting!)

I was tasked, last minute, to buy a sheet cake for my coworker’s retirement party. Less than 48 hours prior to the party, i called the store and asked if I could pick up a half sheet cake in 26 hours. A half sheet cake, Asian fruit cake, turned out to be $ 64. The lady who answered the phone was very polite and offered suggestions on the type of frosting and fillings. The cake was in the refrigerator when I arrived and boxed for me. They took credit card as well.
PS This bakery has a parking lot, so much easier than going to International District and less traffic.

This place is a great local bakery. The pan de leche and pan de coco are particularly good, and a number of supermarkets in Seattle sell their breads. They also make good cake. Their egg tarts are decent, but the crust tends to be a bit too moist. Overall it is a great local place and I would recommend it.

I ordered a large order of lumpia for a party. The lady (Yvette) said they would be ready by 5pm. When I called back to confirm it was ready before driving there another gal (VERY RUDE) answered the phone and told me they were all out. VERY POOR SERVICE!!!

So far I’ve tried several pastries and doughnuts, all of which were great. You can really taste that they use real butter and cream and likely a high end flour. I was also impressed the prices were lower than I expected. Staff is polite, sometimes there’s a small line waiting, but only because they can be busy at times and that’s not a bad problem to have.

Was excited to come here because of the ube treats. Sadly, found it a bit underwhelming. Ube donut was ok, ube cake was dry with the frosting and cream filling overpowering the flavor of the cake itself.
On the plus side, prices are great here. If you’re nearby, it’s a good value, but I wouldn’t make the trek from north Seattle here again.

By far the best baked goods I have ever had in Seattle, and by far the best price. The staff is so friendly too!

My boyfriend wanted an ube cake for his birthday, and with some research, I concluded that this was the place to go.
I placed an order for and half sheet ube cake with seahawks themed design ($ 60). It was perfect and done very neatly. And the cake itself, so good! Very light and moist.
The best part of my experience would have to be the customer service.
The cake decorator was very accommodating about my cake design with the time crunch that I had.
And even more of a time crunch, the day I was going to pick up the cake I had a million errands to run and I was running behind on picking up the cake.
I called and notified them that I was on the way and the ladies that were working would stay later for me.
I finally arrived there and they were finishing closing the shop down.
They let me in, after hours, to pick up my cake.
I was so greatful to them.
I’ve worked at a bakery and honestly that shit would’ve pissed me off lol but they were so sweet and I tipped them well, best believe.
I will definitely order from them again, and will give further notice when I want more detailed designs on my cake.
Such a sweet company, no pun intended.

They made the most amazing cake that I’ve ever seen for my little monster’s 2^nd birthday. We literally gave them a picture of what we wanted the cake to look like and it was like they took the picture and blew it up into a cake lol. The cake looked so good that we didn’t even want to eat it but it not only looked good, it taste good as well. I’m not a big cake fan but the cake was so light and fluffy that I actually had 3 or 4 pieces. They definitely will have my business for life if we need a cake for any occasion. Oh and they also have traditional and Filipino pastries that I haven’t tried yet but look delicious!

I’ve ordered cakes here countless times so I felt the need to leave a review. Service is always great here. I ordered a ½ sheet Ube are for my friend’s mom’s birthday last Monday for last Sat and I thought there would be an issue since it was a big cake with just a week notice but I was wrong. The workers here are really sweet and didn’t have a problem when I would call to add things I wanted done to the cake. I should have gotten something smaller because I did not realize how big ½ sheet was haha. I think we had half the cake left. Oh well more for me!
I love ube cake. It’s definitely my favorite. I always order my parents birthday cake here and haven’t had any issues so I’ll continue to order cakes here.

Visited this place because a friend recommended. I was told to go there early. I went bought 1 chicken siopao. It was warm and steamed well. I got to my car — it was already half gone. Then by the time I started my car — it was all gone. Went back in and ordered more. YUMMY.
Definitely a good place to grab some food and bring to park and enjoy. But definitely don’t recommend keeping food for storage — it’s meant for eating right away.

–Friendly older Filipina ladies that are super nice to customers.
–Pretty tasty ube (taro) rolls and ube sheet cake.
–The pandan cake is pretty decent as well.
–Apple fritter is really good, but the French Cruller was just average.
Park at Red Apple and walk over if their lot is full. I think there’s a credit card charge.

We LOVE their UBE CAKE.
It’s a favorite birthday cake in my house and we order it often.
Only issue I have is with their phone system. Every time one of us calls, they say they can’t hear us and make us repeat everything three times. (I feel kinda silly shouting cake orders.) I call lost of people and lots of places and it’s only this place that I have that problem with .so. I think it has to be on their end. It’s a real testament to how GOOD the cake is that we’re willing to put up with that.

Great cake for a reasonable price.
After poking around Unilocal for somewhere to order a cake for my grandma’s birthday, I settled for Delite based on all the positive reviews. For $ 62 I ordered a half sheet vanilla cake with a layer of strawberries in the middle. I bought the cake for a party of 20 and after everyone was served, there was still half a cake left. So, if you have around 20 people, I would recommend sticking with a quarter sheet. The cake was delicious and very reasonably priced. I’m mainly giving four stars instead of five because the amount of strawberries in the middle was very minimal.

INTERIORS: When you enter this bakery you won’t think that they can make thise big beautiful cakes or that they have anything special in there. It is in an old corner but the cakes are delicious.
SERVICE: They prepared a cake for me at a short notice of two days so I should appreciate that. I had to pay about 140 bucks for a heineken beer can cake and frm watching al the episodes of cake boss I know that it was a big price for a small and easy cake that wouldn’t have taken more than 1 hr to prepare. But what disappointed me was the size. It was about 8 inches long by 4 inches in width and about 4 inches in height at the tallest point. This cake was meant to serve 20 people but if I wanted to serve each one a generous slice this cake won’t suffice.
TASTE: The flan was a little too sweet for my liking but I liked its heavier texture. I also tried the chocolate cookie which was really nice along with green tea cake slices filled with coconut custard filling. Yum.

Thanks to Unilocal I randomly found this place based on a frantic search for doughnuts! What a find! First off, it smells absolutely heavenly inside, and the spotless glass cases are filled with a fantastic assortment of sweet yummies. I could have lingered for a long time, but it’s likely that standing there and salivating might have been vaguely frowned upon, which is not to say that the service wasn’t friendly, it absolutely was. I wanted to try some of the Filipino treats but was lured in by the ginormous and fluffy cronuts. They were divine! I may have missed out on all sorts of yummy goodness, but those cronuts were simply amazing. Fantastic blend of rich buttery croissant and light yeasty donut… liberally coated in a sweet glaze? Yes, please. I was thrilled with the contents of my little brown bag and would return in a heartbeat! Yum.

Being Filipino, I can honestly say this is one of the best Pinoy Bakeries I have ever been to. I don’t know where to begin as to what exactly to order, but I love their siopao, which others would know as «humbao», Taho (sweet tofu in syrup), Karioka (deep fried sugar and dough balls), Turon (deep fries banana in brown sugar), Pan de Ube, Egg Pie, Empanada (bread with pork and vegetable inside), Pan de Sal sandwich (tastes a bit like the «Lady’s Choice spread from the Philippines) and Hopia (any kind is delicious).
The staff here are amazing. I have never had a bad experience with the food or staff. :) Non-​Filipinos should take the drive over here, I’m sure you won’t regret it!!!
