What’s not to like! So much cake, bread and cookies? Check! Pasta galore: check Pretty Italian deli ~ check Tubs of homemade gelatos? Fresh pasta? Even pizza crust? Check check check! This place is all kind of fun and colors. Too many good stuff packed into a tiny little spot. Best deals are found in their bakery! They bake some serious bread, sugar cookies, Italian cookies and cakes here. Prices are next to nothing! Super affordable! And they always have a giant tray is cake samples. Yummm! Super cheap for catering! I also like their deli section! You can get them to slice up all kinds of prosciutto, salami and even mortadella. Prices are quite high for this. Or maybe I say this cause I get all of this for free when I visit my family’s! They would get a heart attack for sure! Che?! But they also live like 5000 miles away! So this will do. Pasta ~ I love this section! I’m a pasta fiend! And I can’t always make my own pasta at home. So I buy the box ones at times. A good box ones. But I’m very picky with the texture of my pasta. Even a few centimeter makes a difference in taste. This place has it all! You want bigoli? Yes! Pappardelle? Cappelletti? They have it all! Yummm! A little on the pricier side. End it all with a pricey box of east coast pizzelle and a cappucino from their deli! But we are getting it here without having to travel! So it’s all good to me. I try to not come too often since I go on all out crazy binge pasta/meat buys aka carbs overload here but that’s me and my inner fat kid’s problem. Overall, it’s a fun place! Free parking outside and friendly people.

I ordered a cake here for a co-worker and went to pick it up around 10AM. The store was not very busy at the time considering the early hour, but even with the slow traffic the guys behind the counter could not get it together. One guy served two other people that were behind me and another guy just decided to conveniently serve the customer that was closest to him even after he yelled«who’s next». The service in this place is a 1 star but I’m giving it two stars since the cake is decent there. But note that the cake isn’t very special either. The only reason I ordered the cake here is because my co-worker likes this place. So … service is «meh» and cake is «meh». There are other places you can order a delicious and unique birthday cake, try«Cakes of Paradise» in «Georgetown». Their cakes tastes amazing and the service is awesome!

My husband and I stopped in for lunch while we were exploring Beacon Hill. This place is super cute and reminds us of ethnic delis back home. The food is delicious and cheap! We got a sandwich, orzo salad and a raspberry bar for under $ 10. The service was fast and friendly! There are some tables so you can eat your food there. We will be back to check out their other menu items and pick up some groceries!

My parents and my in-laws both got their wedding cakes from Borracchini’s over 30 years ago. Five years ago, my husband and I got our wedding cake from them. My brother in-law also got their wedding cake from them two years ago. It’s ongoing tradition in this family, we absolutely love Borracchini’s; without fail, we happily and will continue to support Borracchini’s through generations, they’re simply the best!

I love this place. We ordered our wedding cake from here 8 years ago and had it delivered all the way to Enumclaw! I love cakes that don’t have super sweet frosting and they do that just right. The baked goods are fresh. They will create a cake for you while you wait. I walked in before work and it took them 20 minutes to create a Seahawks cake for me!

I have been to Borracchini’s several times and there are some things I really like and other things that were big disappointments. It seems like it is a hit or miss situation so it depends on the day you are there. As far as ordering a cake, the process seems very easy. You explain what you are looking for and they show you a book or two. You pick the type of cake you want, the cream and the frosting. I decided on a dinosaur themed cake and ordered it several weeks before I would need it. I explained very carefully to the young woman who took my order that if there were any problems she should call me before the day I need to pick up the cake. I always do that so I have a backup plan. One of the things that does not seem to make much sense to me is that if you pay before you receive your cake you still have to bring your receipt with you when you pick it up. It’s almost 2016 and there are so many ways for them to track something like this and yet I was in the area and decided to see if my cake was done and was told I needed to go home and pick up my receipt. It was fortunate that someone was at home so they took a picture of the receipt for me and that seemed to work. When I finally got the cake there were no dinosaurs like I ordered and no one bothered to call me until about an hour before I was going to pick up the cake. I’m not sure why they didn’t call me sooner and let me know so I could try and find some somewhere else. Instead I needed to rush around and try to find little dinosaurs to put on the cake instead of relaxing and being with my family. Besides the cake not having dinosaurs on it, it also had the wrong filling. I specifically asked for cannoli cream and instead got tiramisu. It was good but it was not what I ordered and not what my nephew wanted. The young woman who originally took my order was doing several things at the time and I believe she wasn’t really paying attention. I wish when people are dealing with me they can focus on me instead of another customer and on the phone. When I picked the cake up there was a young man I dealt with was very polite and tried to help me come up with a solution on where to find dinosaurs for the cake. I really appreciated all of his help as well as his ability to try and make the cake presentable if I didn’t find any dinosaurs. I wish I could remember his name because he was the most professional person I dealt with there. The bakery has a good collection of cookies and treats. I like the taste of the biscotti, but they fall apart way too easily. By the time several people go through the box, they start to break into pieces. I like the selection but sadly they do not have a large selection of tea cookies. All of the cookies I have had were good and tasted great. I have also purchased some specialty items from Italy that I have not found in other stores. I also liked their fresh baked bread. The breads are always perfect and like my grandmother used to make. The deli section has a good selection and everything there was also great. Some of the fresh salads were very good as were the cheeses. I wish I had a better experience with the bakery and my cake. My little nephew was disappointed and running around to try and find the right size plastic dinosaurs took way more time than I had. Besides that, I would probably go back for the specialty items but I’m not sure if I will order a cake there again.

The Bavarian whipped icing is amazing. We did a two layer cake at our wedding reception and the prices were really reasonable and the cake looked beautiful with just a couple of fresh flowers added to the top. We always go for the Bavarian cream frosting on white cake with raspberry filling. It’s a little on the sweet side but it is light and delicious.

I was looking for a good bakery and decided to stop here and check it out. OMG! So many cakes, pastries, pies, and delicious food. The counter help with super friendly; especially the very cute girl. Lol she was super friendly and very knowledgeable on the flavors of the food. The assortment of pastries was awesome! As well as the assortments of bread and pies that were freshly made. I decided to get myself to chocolate cannolis, and they were so fantastic. The prices were decent and the flavor was extravagant. This place reminds me of back home of two places that have the best cannolis and pastries. Mike’s cannolis in Boston and Wholly Cannoli in Worcester! If you want really good pastries, and desserts; this is the place to come too.

This is a cute, local and neighborhood store. They have great homemade biscotti and plenty of other baked sweets. I will be back next time I want to get something sweet for a potluck or a birthday.

In a nutshell, my sweet mother ordered a red velvet sheet cake for me for my birthday. Red velvet cake traditionally comes with delicious cream cheese icing. What Borranchini’s gave us was a red velvet sheet cake with butter cream frosting on top(in bulk) and a thin layer of cream cheese icing in the middle. The icings didn’t pair well together and it just about ruined the cake(hard to do). On top of that, the small layer of cream cheese icing in the middle was pretty bland and lacked any of the punch and flavor of good cream cheese icing. Last but not least, the sales person was rude to my wife when she picked up the cake.

I pulled into Borracchini’s unexpectedly and I couldn’t believe this place was my boyf’s favorite bakery, ever. It looks like your typical convenience store off Rainier that happens to have a deli in the back. He walked me around the store and pointed out the sandwiches, cookies, and cakes there are supposedly delicious. I was in disbelief! We ended up getting two florentines, an almond bar, a very chocolate cookie, and a slice of white cake with raspberry jam on the top to share(just another Wednesday for us… fatasses) I was in heaven! Holy cow, Borracchini’s bakery is incredible! I’ve never been so impressed with plain white cake with frosting and a raspberry filling. Such a solid cake with the perfect amount of filling and the frosting is not too sweet. The florentines were nice and crispy. Almond bar had a layer of chocolate on the bottom with a crumbly top and real, almond flavor. The chocolate cookie tastes really chocolatey to the point where the flavor just builds the longer you chew it. It’s weird, but damn, I liked it! I can’t wait to order a cake from them to see what else is amazing here! What a gem on Rainier!

the bakery is divine! everything tastes good, i personally like to come on the weekend, the treats taste more fresher — morning time. the pastry cream –bavarian whipped, is amazing light and fluffy. the cake itself is moist not dry. plus point they make cakes within 24 hours.

Great tasting cakes! Love the cake samples in the cold case. Lovely wedding cake designs available. Pastries and cookies were mediocre and bland. Just a little annoyed about the packaging of my most recent purchase of cupcakes in the largest box ever! The cute cupcakes were ruined when I got home.

The super fabulous Borracchini’s is a must when you are in Seattle. This 100+ year old Italian bakery has amazing, amazing food. They also have really spectacular employees. You can order a cake online and pick from dozens of pictures that you want on your cake or upload your own pic! Choose the flavor of cake, size, icing, decoration and message then either pick it up or have it delivered to you for a small fee. I have ordered a few cakes from them celebrating milestones at work and will continue to use their services for this. Try a cannoli — you’ll be zapped into heaven momentarily. You’ll see all kinds of baked goods calling your name, including pizzelles, candies, and croissants. A sketchy neighborhood but don’t let that keep you from having some real Italian baked goods.

This is a great bakery combined with an Italian deli and market. Almost all of the baked goods from here are great. I particularly like the raspberry tarts and the sweet potato pie. I’ve ordered a sweet potato pie from them for Thanksgiving and Christmas several times and the price is very reasonable for the quality and size. Their deli department also has some great items. They have lots of different types really good salami and a good variety of cheeses. The only reason for not giving them five stars is that the service at the bakery and deli counter could be more attentive. You sometimes have to make a big effort to get someone’s attention and they don’t use the ticket system they have available so people sometimes cut in line ahead of people who have been waiting longer. However, the people at the checkout are really friendly and helpful and recognize regulars. Overall it’s a great place and I’d recommend it. Just don’t go when you’re in a big hurry.

I drive by this place and have been wanting to stop in. We do ally did and just wanted to get inspired to cook something fun. They had a bit less than I expected but we settled on making pizza. Got some frozen dough and some really amazing frozen pesto along with some great cured meats. It took a pretty bad turn when we went to get some mozzarella. I could see at least three kinds through the deli counter yet the lady said they we out. I then pointed out the multiple kinds. She pulled some cheese out and weighed our 2 lbs after I asked for half a pound, she then cut it down and wrapped it up. Upon getting home I discover it is cream cheese! Fixated on making pizza despite missing a key ingredient we proceed. It turns out pizza with cream cheese is horrible… I will say the cakes they were selling looked amazing. That is likely the only thing I would go there for again.

I normally really like the cakes from Borrachini’s bakery, but this one takes the cake(pun intended). I ordered a cake especially for my executives departure from my organization, and it came out with the wrong spellings, the plane on it looked very kooky, and the phrase spacing was just off. I’m not sure if I got the amateur cake decorator, or they were just in a hurry, but that’s no excuse for giving out poor quality product. I also ordered a cake with the rum filling, and the filling was very bland. I’ve had the rum filling in the past, and it tasted very much like rum. This one tasted like nothing.

Good little Italian family restaurant. Had driven by here numerous times and finally decided to venture in. It’s a deli and a bakery with a great family feel. The workers are great and personable. I had the custom sandwich(pick 2 meats) for $ 4.49 and medium drink for $ 7.10. They have great salads and other dinner items. But what they’re known for is their baked desserts. Didn’t have one and will need to try it next time but they’ve got a wide variety of baked goods. Great place to come for a quick bite!

This bakery apparently has been around for decades and you can watch the ladies decorate your bakery items while you wait! That’s sooo cool! They also have a step up platform for small children to watch the decorators in action as well!

Woah! This place is crazy! They are a deli/bakery/world shop! To the right is the bakery and baked goods case, deli is located to the back of the store, and aisles of imported goods are in the center. They also sell gelato and snoqualmie custard by the pint. Friendly staff and amazing selection makes this place a fun visit at the very least. I came in with a groupon and walked out with a bag of crostini, a loaf of garlic bread, a loaf of Italian bread, 1lbs of cookies, AND some interesting cobbler and tarts I hadn’t tried before. I didn’t have to pay anything extra! Money goes far in this place and they have amazing choices. On a separate ocassion, my boyfriend brought home a cherry and chocolate cake. Amazing. The icing is top notch and the cake was moist! I cannot wait to return and try the tres leches cake! I bet it is divine. This is not easily missed on Rainier(GIANT Italian flag by sign), but if you are headed North be patient when trying to turn left into their parking lot. SE Seattle drivers are not very good at letting you in. Easily 10x more doper(ha ha) than any other bakery in SE Seattle.
