One star and here’s why: They forgot my partner’s latte. This is completely unacceptable as the place isn’t even crowded on a Saturday afternoon. The 12oz latte is 5 dollars, wtf? The exterior looks promising, but food is disappointing. The brownie macarons look like a wrinkly disaster. It’s chocolate on top of chocolate, and tastes like dense brownie mix with subpar buttercream. But if you’re looking for a 4 dollar chocolate bomb — look no further. I had the Valentine’s Day mini champagne rose macaron and I tasted stale almond and butter. The macaron shell was hard and stale, and it was clearly a poorly baked mac as it had apparent air pocket in the macaron. The filling was flavorless, dense and just disgusting. There was no rose and definitely no champagne flavor. There are so many better places in Seattle for coffee and macarons, don’t bother with this place.

OMG… the Black Currant Macaron is the best macaron I’ve ever had. The filling is so delectable. I’m eating one right now. It’s dangerous that I work in the building right above it!

Absolutely divine patisserie. I had a GF buckwheat, sesame, lime madeleine that was delicious. My daughter had a(huge) blackcurrant macaron which got a bug thumbs-up too. The small shop feels super European and authentic. The upstairs seating area looks like a lovely place to hang out.

Service was great. Cappuccino on point. marzipan tart delicious and moist. Almond berry cake meh. On the pricier side.

This bakery is so cute! It had a great selection of delicious looking treats with unique ingredients in the descriptions. My partner and I split a giant yuzu macaron which was super yummy(full disclosure: it tasted like lemon). I also had a macchiato and it was super creamy.

Very cute brand new bakery in Capitol Hill. Took my mother in law for some baked goods late in the morning the day they first opened and was happy to see they still had a nice selection of sweets to offer. Given that the name is Amandine, I wasn’t surprised by the almond crusted offerings. Almost everything here(or maybe everything?) is baked or made with almonds as an ingredient of some sort. We enjoyed macarons, a croissant, and a few other small treats. I had a hot tea and my mother in law had a root beer on tap. I nabbed a quick sip and it was delicious! Definitely a unique highlight here. It’s a narrow shop but I believe there’s an upstairs area for people wanting to stay and eat/drink inside. Not much room in the main bakery for dining in but I imagine there isn’t much need for people to be there too long either. We were just there to order and then take things to go. Staff was sweet, the baked good were yummy. Will happily come back again.
