This has been a favorite of mine for a couple of years now. The stand out here is the BBQ pork banh mi. Cheap as hell, but great.

Stay away from this place at all cost. I order 1 whole duck, and 1.5 lbs of bbq pork. The owner tried to upsell me on the chicken feet. I said ok for one pound or six dollars. He purposely got a 1.5 pound of chicken feet and tried to make me buy. No deal for me. I said 1.5 lbs of bbq and chose the mid-body section, he, the cook, got just a lb of that and grabbed another pound of discarded portion(not hanging meat) with that bbq which he said was good meat. He weighed at 2.0. I paid for it because my wife was craving bbq pork and no need to argue over .5 lb, although I notice that they always sell you more than you asked for. We couldn’t eat the hard bbq because it was just so hard and burnt. Now, they pretend to add sale taxes which should be included in food prices as customary with other Asian food restaurant. Overall, just a seedy and bad business practice. Will never ever go here again. Treat your customer right and respect, and they will come back.

My bf and I go here nearly two or three times a week. The pricing is very good the owner speaks about 4 different languages and is always so helpful. His food is very good and gives generous portions. You can get a half chicken or half duck for about $ 6 or so. I like going to this place because it tastes like home cooking and I love the food.

2÷26÷14. This tiny shop is so small that the cook has to go outside to change his mind.

They have delicious, DELICIOUS tripe(cow stomach lining)… so tender, juicy, and the same as when I recollect as a child. Their other bbq pork and duck is alright. Very juicy but not very flavorful unfortunately. They are friendly, clean, nice, and helpful. Very welcoming and they have combo plates for lunch specials as well. Their prices are typical prices: about $ 7.99-$ 8.99 for their duck, bbq pork, roasted duck, etc. This is a small location, but they usually can get you in and out. They also make vietnamese sandwiches in case you want that instead! They have drinks if you’d like and pictures to make ordering easy if you’re unfamiliar. Located very conveniently on Jackson with their food hanging at the window. Yummm.

I really wanted to like this place because it is one of the few places that take credit cards in ID. I tried it 3 times. The first was just ok. I was hungry and ate enough to stop my stomach from talking. The second was really good so I thought I found a good place. The third was so gross. Hygiene is missing and food to old. I will never return.

This place is a tiny little establishment on Jackson street in the International District. If you blink, you might miss it, but odds are the wonderful smell of Asian BBQ will grab your attention and pull you in the door. Once you are in, you will realize you have entered a place that is just as nondescript on the inside as it is on the outside. I ordered some BBQ pork with fried rice to go with it and decided to go for the soy sauce and spicy sauce add-on’s just to give everything a try. The food was good but not spectacular, but there was lots of it and made for some great leftovers. Good value here for the price even if there are other restaurants nearby that give you a better quality product. Overall, I really have no complaints, but I would also have to say that there is nothing that really sets them apart from 10 other similar place within 4 or 5 blocks. I will give the staff props for providing great service even in the afternoon on New Year’s Day.

I decided to give this place a shot one rainy day. I got the two meat lunch special with fried rice and vegetables. My two meats were a chicken and potato dish and bbq pork. The chicken itself was good but it was covered in skin and it was hard to tell where bones were without pulling each bite apart with my fingers first. The BBQ pork was pretty good and so was the fried rice. The vegetables were some of the worst I’ve ever eaten anywhere ever. If I’d just gotten the fried rice and bbq pork I would have given this place a higher rating. This was a tough one for me to rate because parts of my meal were delicious and other parts were straight up gross. If Kau Kau Barbeque wasn’t around the corner I might give this place another shot someday. They serve similar food for about the same price in a cleaner restaurant with less flaws.

I was a little surprised at how little of ratings there were for Asia BBQ but it’s always been a hidden little gem of my family’s so it’s understandable. We’ve been coming to this shop since I was a small child and I frequent it often as an adult. They not only make the best BBQ pork in Seattle but they also make the best BBQ Banh Mi sandwiches around. The staff is friendly and work efficiently to get your order going and getting you on your way. They also accept credit cards which is a nice change from some of the other sandwich places around town.

I came by this place to grab some take out. ½ a roast duck and ½ lb of the char siu. I had tried two other places in the ID but had been pretty disappointed. Based on the reviews, I thought this place was worth of a taste. The place is teeny tiny and the one woman manning the counter didn’t speak too much english but was sweet as can be. She was prompt with her weighing and chopping, and bonus! they took credit cards! This place probably had 290831203 health violations just in plain sight but I’m a firm believer that with quality, authentic chinese food — the dirtier, the more delicious. Sorry, but it’s true. So despite the shadiness of the joint, I saw this as a positive. Food — the roast duck was the best I’ve had in Seattle so far. The skin was crispy, the duck not too fatty(although still fatty enough), and the flavor was dead on. So so so delicious. The Char Siu however was super disappointing. I hate lean char siu. more so, I hate dry char siu. Initially I was excited because instead of a long strip of meat that they usually cut up, it looked like the bbq had been applied to smaller pieces. Meaning. more caramelization, more crispiness, more flavor! Alas, I was sorely disappointed. The best I’ve had in Seattle so far has been at 663 café down the street. Unfortunately, nothing can top Big Wong in Chinatown in NYC. If you are ever in the neighborhood, you gotta go see what I’m talking about. Would go back just for the duck but would skip that dry ass pork.

i came here for lunch and purchased the lunch special. i feel like i had my hopes up… the lunch special is steam rice plus 2 choices of meat. if you choose, steam veggies, that’s counted as 1 «meat» choice. uh ok. so i selected the veggies and bbq pork. +1 star for friendly customer service and a good size portion for cheap. i thought i scored a good deal for a bottle of mountain dew… HOWEVER, after taking a sip of it, i had to throw it away. WHY? because it was expired and there was no gas in it. i hate drinking flat soda. so my «good deal» of the day turned out to be a rip off. so remember folks, check the expiration date! for the amount of food that was given, i had to dispose those also. it didn’t hit the stop nor was it flavorful, just mediocre. although, the plum sauce is free unlike kau kau, it was also a fail… i’m disappointed… sad…and hungry now.

Chicken lunch special to-go, please: *pulls chicken off window rack* *chop, chop, chop-chop-chop, chop* *places on bed of rice* *pay* *return to office* Holy crap, this is good! And that sauce, w/e it is, made it delicious. Ding for many bones, but I think that goes as part of paying for what you get.

Here’s another place I found through an Asian buddy that serves up excellent roast duck, roast pork, roast chicken, and BBQ pork. The meat is soft and juicy, the pork skins are crackling and crispy and they top it on a ton of steamed rice only $ 5.50 lunch special as their lunch special. I usually ask for their hot oil chili and mix it in with the meat sauce for a great dipping companion. If they had vegetables too it would be perfect! I am smacking my lips just thinking about the deliciousness. Check out this place, it’s cheap and two people can eat one lunch order.

One word: AMAZING! This is the only place i will go for my roast pork fix. Everything here is so delicious. I have been going here for years and nothing has changed. The people are always so nice and friendly! I love them. I know I will definitely come back and back again for many more years to come.

Oh my gosh this place is a hidden little gem in the ID. I ordered the noodles, fried rice and a whole bar-b-q pig from this place for a Chinese New Year celebration. The pork, with its crackly skin and hint of sweet from the bar-b-q and chinese spices was melt in your mouth deliciousness. The fried rice(pork and vegetarian) and noodles(pork and vegetarian) were delicious as well but really if you are coming here is is all about the meat. They have duck, pork and chicken that you can order by the pound, perfect for a party. You can also come in at lunch time and choose your meat(s) and they will chop it up fresh in front of you and pile it on steamed rice. I saw a large bubble tea menu as well and they it looked like they do banh mi(vietnamese baguette sandwich) style sandwiches as well. A cute older lady and her husband work the counter and when I went to pick up my order the lady and her son helped carry all the food out to my car. So sweet. Really go and try it for yourself. You won’t be disappointed!

i’d love to give you the scoop about my favorite asian bbq spot but i’m too busy drooling & licking lovely(yes lovely) duck grease from my lips. in the mood for killer roast duck noodle soup? if you’re a healthy growing boy or a dainty connoisseur they’ll cut up an entire duck or parts of it to go for you. bop on down the street to your favorite chinese noodle shop & get a vegetable noodle soup to go & you’re set. SERIOUSLY lapsed vegetarian? get the roast pork – they leave the crispy skin on & it’s so juicy you’ll be sucking on the cardboard box for every last drop.(really, one of my veggie friends told me that if you’re on vacation, eating meat doesn’t count!) slurp. chomp. slurp. now i remember why i lived in this city for so long.
