This place was pretty good. My brother lives in Via 6 and my work is 3 blocks away so when we meet up for lunch, we decided to try this place out since they now served food! I had their vegetarian burger with carrot & apple juice(Apple 70%, carrot 30%) and it was DELICIOUS! The burger’s buns were slightly crispy outside(perfectly toasted), and warm and soft in the inner side of the bun – which was a perfect combination with the veggie patty which was slightly crispy – which I liked. Sort of bland since they didn’t put cheese but ketchup saved it a bit. My brother ordered the normal beef burger with fries and the fries were pretty good! Slightly on a pricier side since we’re by Amazon and it’s lake Union, but I felt healthier eating this food. It wasn’t greasy at all. The only thing is they accidentally overcharged my brother for my juice but it happens and my brother did not have time to go back to fix it. If you’re on the go, this place is the perfect place for you. Their coffee is also pretty good, and the service is pretty quick(unless you get there in the lunch time – there might be a slight delay).

Just had the BEST experience at Assembly Hall. I had just had a coffee meeting, so decided to take my next client for juice. The Via6 building is a GREAT place to meet by the way, cozy atmosphere, but enough light to take notes and quiet enough to hear each other. Our grasshopper juices were tasty, and I could feel my immune system thanking me with every sip. But I forgot my receipt for my company’s expense report, d’oh! I called them like 2 hours later, and they printed a new one. Of course like a dunce I forgot to pick it up… then came back 2 days later, they went to the back and dug it out of the computer without complaint. Libby remembered my face AND what I’d ordered– truly impressive. This may make me sound like a finicky customer, but I really feel Assembly Hall exemplifies the kind of service that should be expected in a customer-oriented environment like Seattle.

They now serve a full menu on Saturday and Sunday. I am pleased given the lack of options at Remedy during the weekend.

Ok… I love this place! I like to just sit here and read and my whole day could be spent just like that. They have everything from healthy smoothies and steal cut oats to hearty breakfast sandwiches smothered in cheese and drenched in butter! Something for every mood. There’s also lunch options, which I haven’t tried yet, but am excited to. Most of all, I love the ambiance. There’s a fireplace if you want to relax, a small home movie theater if you wanna chill, and a game room upstairs if you wanna hang out with friends. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Seattle so far!

I often spend at least one morning a week here enjoying some great coffee and delicious breakfast. The service is excellent and the vibe is really cool.

I had a pretty pleasant experience here. The coffee was quite good, the cheesy scone I had was absolutely delish. The only reason I’m knocking them back to three stars is that it took a little too long to get any of the coffee/food items we ordered and we were the only ones being served. To preface this, I am a former barista and someone who is quite willing to wait for something good. That being said, my simple flavored latte order was not something which warranted the wait time we encountered, nor was anyone else’s drink we had. They were certainly nice enough, though. Maybe they just needed some more coffee too! Okay, that aside. It’s still a nice counter with good items. I’m not wanting to sound like a total whiner. I really enjoyed my coffee, it was smooth and tasty. The lobby of the building this is in along with the décor for the counter is adorable, and we sat off to the side in the comfortable chairs near(ish) by and enjoyed ourselves for a bit before walking over to check out Home Remedy. I didn’t get any juice because I was cold and wanted something warm, but I really am looking forward to come back by and try out some fresh pressed juice. Maybe I just drink the Tom Douglas kool-aid, er… juice(?), but I thought these guys were A-OK as Unilocal would say.

A coworker brought in some pretzel bagels from here, but I figured it was good enough to merit a review! I loved the edamame spread!

This place literally leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Coffee is so bitter it’s barely drinkable, even after I opted for whole milk thinking it would balance out the acidic coffee after having tried this place once before. Otherwise it’s a cool spot to grab coffee and snacks to go or work or meet up at one of the many communal tables.

I’ve passed Assembly Hall like 300 times on my way to work, and I’ve always wanted to try it… But I’m embarrassing and I pushed a pull door and people saw me so I never wanted to go in again. Luckily, I figured it out today lol. Assembly Hall is in the lobby of an apartment building, so you’re going to see lots of employees who don’t work at the coffee shop — it’s also connected to Tanaka San, so be prepared for that too. The décor is rustic all the way around, so personally, I think it’s adorable. They have lots of pastries out on display, ranging from cookies to bagels to donuts and more! Nothing really looked good though — not because it wasn’t presented or made well, but just because I’m not really a sugary breakfast person. Their menu offers lots of options, but not much for coffee outside of drips, americanos, and lattes. I ended up getting a chai because I’ve heard that they just use Starbucks beans so, I might as well just got to a Starbucks if that’s what I want… Be forewarned: chai is supposed to be kind of spicy, but this shit was SPICY. Like almost painful. I had to add a little bit of half and half to curb almost dying. Maybe it’s because I’m white, but jesus. It was spicy. Right now, I don’t think Assembly is anything to write home about and I’m not counting down the days until I get to go again, but they did have some pretty appealing items on the menu that I want to go back and try… Breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, and smoothies!

Just into Seattle and this place had great coffee early on a Sunday morning. Kids really got into the chocolate croissants too. Very friendly people on counter, fairly open environment and blends in with the rest of the via6 spaces.

Today was not their best customer service day. Overcharged and made to feel bad for questioning my total. No apology for their mistake and 100% made to feel uncomfortable while they went about resolving the situation, since it was the morning and a line was stacking up. Even if you have little verbal communication, consider your non-verbal communication in front of your customer. Pro-tip: Make sure you do the math for your bill in your head! Know what you’re paying for since the receipts aren’t itemized.

#10 Assembly hall Juice & Coffee sits in a long stretched hall along with Tanakasan and Home Remedy, and I really was hoping that Seattle would also have a decent juice bar. But nope! Most of their recipes involve some sort of spice, which to me sounded like a good idea until both drinks I tried ended up having too much of that spice component AND were juiced from unripe fruits. The drinks both became so acidic that it was really difficult to down, despite being able to still taste each component of the mix. I wouldn’t come back here again. sadly.

I won’t be returning. I stopped in on my way to class since it’s along the walk. There are about 9,000 coffee shops in-between LQA and Cap Hill but this place had the cutest atmosphere and so I popped in. Fireplace, very warm and classy looking. I ordered a dirty chai latte and a bagel. Came to eight dollars, which is just ridiculous, and then it took 20 minutes to get a bagel with butter. By the time I got it, it was cold and hard. The girl behind the counter was obviously incredibly new, and instead of giving me a chai latte, gave me chai tea with an espresso shot. Tasted like burnt water, if there ever was such a thing. Unfortunately, I was in a rush after the 20 minute wait, and so didn’t realize the poor quality until I got outside and took a sip. If I had more time, I would’ve gone in and asked for my money back, but instead I am just putting them on my «never again» list for coffee on my daily commute.

Assembly Hall is represented by the set of businesses in Via6 before home remedy. They offer breakfast sandwiches, smoothies, juices, pastries and coffee although they use Starbucks beans. I refused to order Starbucks at a non-Starbucks establishment(what’s the point?) and stuck with their famous pretzel bagel sandwich. The juices and smoothies are sugar heavy, with tasty ingredients like banana, so I chose not to try those even though they probably taste delicious. The pretzel bagel was yummy but the bagel itself as you would expect was just too dense and hard for my liking. Also the sandwich took forever to make(over 10 minutes) so it wouldn’t be good for grab and go. They sell breakfast sandwiches until 2:30 which is nice. Overall cute spot with luxurious and warm indoor seating but not a destination for coffee or breakfast sandwiches.

Came through here on our walk back from the EMP Museum. Loved the décor and the vibe of the place! Delicious juices. Great concept!

Assembly Hall reminds me of an airport café with prices to match. I had the salt bagel and smoked salmon cream cheese and the honey nut smoothie. It was $ 11.50 for both! Seems very steep to me considering that was just a snack. The food was tasty as well as the smoothie but I can’t say I would happily spend that again for what was delivered. The tables are communal and they have a fireplace. The table where I sat had crumbs all over it as did the chair. Overall it’s ok. Products are quality but prices are high. I would stop in if in the area but probably would not make it a destination. They also serve a wheat grass smoothie which is a red flag to me because wheat grass is a hyped-up«superfood».

Imagine if Tom Douglas opened a coffee shop… Are you imagining it? Now take the happiness you anticipate feeling from this knowledge and multiply it by 2, because lo! This coffee shop exists and they have salty pretzel bagels and breakfast sammies! Oh lordy, it’s good. The soy latte I order is done PERFECTLY. One of the best in the city. The espresso is rich and strong and the baristas rock so it’s never acrid. Did I say the baristas rock? They do. They are pleasant and professional and the line moves very quickly. The pretzel bagel with butter is my go-to($ 3 and worth every penny). YUM! The sandwiches are a bit much for my workday morning meal on the go, but I cant wait to go there and sit down some weekend when I can truly appreciate one. They’re huge/delicious looking! The grab and go items are also appealing– parfaits, fruit, etc. Tons of seating so this place is good for groups, meetings, or hanging out on your laptop. Grab a punch card, because you’ll be back!

This review is based on the coffee alone. I was in the area and wanting coffee so I thought it the perfect opportunity to try this place. I paid extra for pumpkin sauce and non-dairy milk for my latte and got something that tasted nothing like pumpkin, but definitely very floral. It was almost like drinking coffee potpourri. I didn’t like it. I took a few sips and ended up throwing the rest away. Would not get coffee here ever again, but looking forward to trying the juice and updating my review.

Took a walk around the hood and stopped in for a smoothie. I couldn’t decide between the Orange You Glad smoothie because I’m always woo’d by anything orange and the Honey Nut since I also love a good peanut butter and honey combo. A tough decision later, I decided on the Honey Nut. This smoothie was super heavy and tasted more like a banana peanut butter smoothie. Was hoping it’d have more balanced flavors and didn’t anticipate a strong flavor profile. Anyways, this will cost you a few pretty pennies. I may be back to try the Orange You Glad, but not making it a priority.

This non-assuming coffee bar can be easily forgotten somewhere between Tanakasan and Home Remedy. My first few times here, I wasn’t even sure where Home Remedy ended and Assembly Hall began. I finally made it here today and the smoked salmon cream cheese forever changed the way I see ALL smoked salmon cream cheeses! I’ve never tasted anything like this. It had huge chunks of salmon inside and the entire spread tasted perfectly smoked and savory. Spread this on top of a delicious pretzel bagel and you won’t regret it! I don’t think I can ever have any other smoked salmon cream cheese again! Nothing else compares!
