Really hard to donate to. I’ve shopped here for hundreds of little projects but as I wrapped them up and found I had things left over like unused electrical outlets, cabinet handles(still new in packages), unused tools, brand new plumbing fixtures and other similar items, they wouldn’t take them. Everything ended up wasted at the dump. I understand things like that are apparently outside their mission and that mission is up to them, but it was really disappointing to add so much great stuff to a landfill, especially since so much of it would have been useful to someone like me, and others I’m sure. Just left a sour taste.

After a stop at Builder’s Hardware Supply, this was one of their suggested stops. It was a pretty amazing place. They didn’t have the cabinet hinges I needed, but there were many to look through. Most of their items are recycled so there is a good chance you might find what you are looking for.

Utterly rude customer service. Spoke w Julie who was sighing and unwilling to listen to my needs for lumber. I simply asked if they had the ability to create shelving from the lumber in store which caused massive amounts of exasperation. Won’t go here again. Like a portlandia episode.

Doors, windows, cabinets, mantle, even a bird bath… these are just a few of the finds I have brought home from Ballard Reuse for our project. I consistently find excellent materials and new inventory to choose from when I come for my almost weekly trip. As fun as it is to find just the right thing for my project, the people here are the real treasure. They make shopping here a great experience every single time! Thanks Ballard Reuse!

They are coming later today to demo my kitchen. I will update then. Prior to that, I can say Joel was very helpful via email and his site visit to clear up my questions/concerns /to assess the job REUSE was undertaking. UPDATE: Kim, Jay and Luke did an amazing job. They were fast and efficient, and were super-helpful, above & beyond the call of duty, to help me right a stove that was delivered upside down. It is of note that you are responsible for your own clean up, but given the service they provide, the time/back strain they saved me, and the assistance in «the Great Stove Flip of 2015,» I’m 100% okay with that.

This place is incredible! First of all, their mission to keep perfectly re-usable pieces out of landfills, is a reason to make this place a first stop before heading to home depot or Lowes. It’s very well organized considering the huge space and the massive amount of pieces that they are able to store inside. It’s actually a really fun place to shop and find inspiration, wandering their untraditional aisles. If you’re into project pieces or re-purposing this will be your new favorite place! They also sell new fixtures like brass handles, pulls, knobs and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly, they all seem to really enjoy their jobs and the customers they work with. I have been here twice and purchased unique pieces both times for what I felt was a great deal. I look forward to my next visit!

Whatever tools or parts you need for your home, whether they be big or small, I encourage you to look for what you might need at Ballard Reuse before purchasing elsewhere. They have everything from vent covers to kitchen appliances. It feels great helping to keep things out of landfills. If you are repurposing, this is a great place for materials.

This is the best store in Seattle. There are always really cool finds if you are willing to dig. I visit the store every month or so and always leave inspired by a new project. Today, when I went to pick up an item I purchased over the weekend, the whole staff seemed to want to help me load this on my truck and make sure it was secure. I made it all the way home with out the load moving an inch! They are the absolute best! This is a store worth visiting if you haven’t and one to support if you are looking for great items for your home.

I can’t believe these guys don’t have more kickass reviews. If you’re building or fixing something, you need to come here. That’s really all there is to it.

This«hidden» gem in Ballard’s industrial district is ran by a pair of caring and knowledgeable cats(and their people). After the restore decided to close the doors on this«under producing» location, two tenured employees took over the reigns and cat care and opened a new lease on life, for all of our benefit. Do yourself a favor and go there, NOW. Bottom line there’s cats and cool shit.

I was bummed when I found out ReStore was going away but yesterday I went into ReUse to check it out and it is fantastic. The pricing and organization are SO much better than the ReStore was. Before buying items there was bordering on being fiscally irresponsible now I will be able to spend a lot more there because things are priced really well and are really consistant. With all of the changes in Ballard this is a change for the better.

We are big fans of Ballard Reuse! This is the perfect place to come to find unique, vintage architectural items. We have found tons of great items that we have repurposed throughout our yard and house. If you are a DIY’er, you will LOVE Ballard Reuse. They have tons of doors, windows, and furniture — plus lots of salvaged wood and building materials to craft your own creations. I find myself in the store every week or so because they are constantly getting in new stuff.
