You do not come to this location for the view. You come here to either walk in the shade, play tennis, go to the small dog park or maybe just to cut through on the way to or from Elliot Bay. From the upper tier of this three tier park there is a bit of a view during the fall and winter. This is also where the swings and bathrooms are located. The middle tier is the tennis park, while the bottom tier is another viewing area(blocked by the full trees) and the dog area. The park is a combination of cement sidewalks and gravel walkways. It is kind of a hodgepodge of a park.

This is the small kids’ playground area below Kerry Park, accessible by walking down the long staircase from Kerry. WOW, this park may be small but it packs a punch! My kids have always LOVED this playground! It has some awesome play equipment including a slide built into the hilly landscape and really neat climbing structures. There are these plastic-cupped seats, inverted-like domes, on short ground-mounted poles, and they spin LIKETHEDICKENS. Seriously, once seated in these contraptions, once you start spinning, between the gravity, the angle and the momentum, you don’t stop. Like, ever. I know, it defies the laws of physics. But I swear it’s true. I was last here over a year ago, and if my kids didn’t stop this thing from spinning, I’d still be stuck in it today, spinning like a top and screaming for help. I kid you not.(Kids love it, though!). The playground was installed in 2007 and still looks and feels new. After admiring the stunning Seattle views from Kerry, venture down the stairs for the kids to play!
