Anne Wager is truly a professional and produces amazing results. Three of our four children have used her for college counseling. We have gotten outstanding results from her excellent advice. Also, my wife went back to school to get her doctorate, and Anne was a huge help to her as well.
What I like the most is that Anne is that she is truly impartial. We previously went to a high profile college counselor in Bellevue and DID NOT get impartial advice. Anne is a breath of fresh air when it comes to being impartial and independent. We all have preferences and biases.
The college selection process definitely has an opportunity for one’s biases to show up. When we selected Anne to help our family, I felt like whatever her personal preferences were, she truly would set those aside and do what was best for our family and each of our children — to find the RIGHT college for each child. She did exactly that. Throughout the entire process, and over many years, she has truly been impartial and has given excellent advice.
The second thing about Anne is that she is VERY, VERY knowledgeable about colleges. Most people in that business are probably knowledgeable, but in my opinion, her first hand knowledge of colleges is second to none.
Thirdly, she is efficient. The amount of time she takes to counsel students in the college selection process is minimal. She gives the student a lot of homework to do — and the resources to do that homework. The student feels like they know more what they want as a result and get more of a buy-​in to the final college decision. This efficiency shows up in very reasonable cost — especially given the high quality advice we have been given.
Finally, Anne has paid attention to what our goals are as parents. She blends our goals with her own expertise and the goals of the student. I felt totally heard and included in the process. Anne, I cannot recommend you highly enough.
