Absolutely horrific. I left his office feeling completely disgusted and violated. He was extremely unprofessional and inappropriate. I had been to several ophthalmologists in the past, and had never had a doctor come in skin to skin contact(his face to mine), while panting in my mouth and making the most inappropriate motions. This lasted an agonizing period of time. I am utterly shocked and sick about it. This guy is a complete slime-ball. Stay far, far away!

A very reputable ophthalmologist. I have had him as my doctor for 8 plus years. He is definitely knowledgable and honest. Five years ago, I went in to his office seeing if I could undergo LASIK. His professional advice saved my eyes that other doctors would not be truthful about. My cornea was too thin and I would be at an at risk patient. Plus needing glasses anyways after the surgery. Who does a thorough free consultation like that? He is also a great man, always dedicating his profession to cancer patients, elderly, and this who are low income. If you want someone who is well educated, skilled, and experienced I highly recommend him for you.

I chose to go to Dr. Bensinger, as he was close to my office, and on the list of «in-network» for my insurance. I showed up 3 minutes early, and no one was at the front desk in the tiny office with tons of stuff. After about a minute, the woman came back to the desk and asked if I was THE appointment. I asked her if I needed to fill out any paperwork, knowing I would, and I did. I completed this before my apt time, and paid my $ 10 co-pay in cash. I then had to wait another five minutes. When the Dr. did come to get me, he led me down a hall that was lined with boxes and books; way too much stuff for such a small office. The exam went quick, with way less questions /reading that what I remembered. A few weeks went by, and then I got a bill for $ 60. When I called the office, they gave me an 800 number to call. I did call it, and it was forwarded to a guys cell phone. Art was fairly nice, however he could not explain any of the billing to me, other than staying that some of it had to be sent to my medical insurance, and not my vision. This made NO sense, as it was a routine exam to renew my Rx. He became short with me, but did agree to send me the itemized bill. I’m really shocked at the whole experience, as Dr. Bensinger was on my insurance list, and is associated with Swedish. It seemed more like something you would find on Aurora AVE.
