Brooks Trailhead

Since I’m a big-​time Brooks fanboy, I was super excited to hear about Brooks opening a flagship store. I was even more excited to get the chance to finally visit the Brooks Trailhead this past spring. I was hoping this would be on par with the Nike Town/​Store/​whatever they call it now these days experience, but so much better, since it’s Brooks.
Unfortunately, it was a little too much like Nike, and in the worst way possible. Obviously, Brooks Trailhead only stocked their newest and latest gear. No surprises there — just like Nike. But unfortunately (also like Nike), they didn’t have much in the way of a clothing selection. Considering all of the cool apparel Brooks has out, I was surprised to see so little of it in store. I was further disappointed to see how much they were charging for it. I was even more disappointed to see how few sizes they had in stock. Oh well. At least the people were nice.
If you’re a Brooks fanboy looking to save money, I’d strongly suggest heading up to Bothell instead and checking out the outlet. The Trailhead is for all new gear, which also means full-​price gear. That said, I loved the neighborhood it’s in, and that it functions as a community hub in a place that’s clearly all about the outdoor sports is awesome. Bonus star just for that.

I wish I had just ordered online. Sigh. One salesperson was pretty helpful, but she ordered the wrong shoe which I had to wait a week for in first place. The other lady that was working when I picked them up was a meanie. The color choices are not great. This will probably be my last pair of Brooks.

Brooks has a brand new headquarters and a great shop on the bottom floor. The full array of shoes and a great selection of attire are on display. They have treadmills for trying shoes and doing hair analysis and even have towels and water if you work up a sweat. I liked the blackboard with upcoming runs and people’s favorite routes nearby which added a sense of community. Prices are not too high on the athletic gear scale. I am a huge fan of the shoes too.

I am so happy Brooks moved into the neighborhood. I have already bought two pairs of really comfortable shoes. The staff was helpful and friendly. I am not a runner so was a little nervous going into a running store but walked out happy with great walking shoes. I look forward to buying my next pair of shoes here!

A lovely and well designed store featuring a wealth of footwear and athletic wear options. Their running shoes are very comfortable, even for someone with slightly wide feet. Staff are friendly and knowledgable without being pushy about the sale. I wish Brooks offered more color options for women’s casual shoes (too heavy on the pastels), or that their men’s shoes (in cooler color combos) came in sizes small enough for women, but I know that’s not this store’s fault!

I’m usually skeptical of any shoes that aren’t flip flops but after putting on the Brooks Chariots I realized I had found a new favorite shoe! Their comfort and color options are endless. The trailhead store is beautiful and artsy, pretty fun to see all the recycled materials they use to decorate. The staff is knowledgeable about their products but also gave me the space I wanted while being indecisive about my sock color choice. Their products truly stand up and I’m excited to return to get a sports bra!

I’ve recently gotten into running outside more and wanted some new running pants for my morning runs in the dark. Was super impressed – as a non-‘hardcore’ runner, I always get a little nervous going to these places if I’m just running 5ks. Luckily, the staff was super nice and approachable, and didn’t make me feel like a lazy human. The store is super beautiful inside, and after a week with my new pants I am loving them-​way more visible running before sunrise, and super comfortable. Excited to go back there once I need new shoes.
