Bursett Optometry

Get in here! I have been coming to Dr. Bursett for years and it does not get any better. You are going to wish you could replicate her into all of your healthcare providers. She is competent, confident, respectful and calm. You will feel at ease and her office is not only welcoming, it is spotless. Dr. Bursett holds herself to the highest standards and you will be the beneficiary.

I have worn glasses since I was a small child and have seen many optometrists over the years, but Dr. Bursett is the absolute best. She is thorough and precise and I’m confident that my vision is maximally corrected. She also cares not only about your vision, but the overall health of your eyes. I’ve ordered glasses and contact lenses from her office and the customer service is top notch – Andrea, her assistant, is awesome! Love that she’s located in Eastlake which is easily accessible and free parking in the building. I can’t recommend her highly enough!

Highly recommend if you’re in the market for an optometrist in the Seattle area. Great staff and they take care of their patients. I don’t know why anyone would go anywhere else.

Very amazing experience. You feel like you are getting the Star treatment as soon as you walk in the office. The office itself is designed like a spa and very tranquil. I heard they will be moving across the street soon, but I am sure it will remain well designed.
Both Lisa and Andrea were professional and friendly. I have known Lisa for years and was excited to finally have her covered by my new insurance. Lisa did so many different tests on my eyes to ensure the correct diagnosis compared to my last optometrist which maybe did two tests (sorry, I don’t know the names of the tests).
When it came to frames, she had a great contemporary selection, many very European and clean designs. Lisa immediately pulled out about 6 frames for me to try and all looked great (meaning she can help select frames when you may be clueless where to start).
I ordered my frames, they arrived about a week later and Andrea fit them for me and was able to distract my toddler at the same time. Excellent service, and can not wait to visit again. Thanks Lisa and Andrea.

This office is first class. It starts out with a clean, steam lined office that is comfortable and elegant. Andrea is the front desk person who is responsive, kind and very good at her job. Her job is to make sure you are aware of what you are being charged and what to expect. Her job is to fit and pick glasses. She just happens to be the best person I have ever seen to pick out the perfect glasses for what ever shape or issue you have with your face. She finds the ideal glasses in just a couple tries. I love it! Dr. Bursett is equally amazing. She is the reason you are coming to the clinic in the first place. Her best asset is she is quick, smart and listens to your concerns and finds great solutions. I really trust she is looking out for my best interest and wants to make sure I leave satisfied. She will talk to you in person after the visit with any questions no problem. This office is first class!

Dr. Bursett is beyond fantastic. She is by far the most detailed and knowledgeable optometrist I’ve visited. Andrea has also always been extremely responsive and patiently reviewed all potential charges with me up front before my first exam. I highly recommend Bursett Optometry!

First eye doctor/​assistant team that I have LOVED. Both women are absolutely amazing and know what’s best for their patients. Dr Bursett fitted me with contacts better than I’ve been fitted in YEARS and Andrea is super diligent in making sure that patients get available rebates, get the correct contacts, etc. I couldn’t be happier with this eye doctor (and this is coming from someone who has been searching for years for the right doctor)

This is the best experience I have ever had at an eye doctor! I have been needing an eye doctor in Seattle area for several years and have tried several but never found one to be loyal to and did not return to any of those others I tried. Bursett Optometry is a small business that gives 100% to each customer– there is only 1 customer at a time in the office as far as I can tell, so you aren’t stuck in the waiting room with a dozen other people like in other places I have been. Dr. Bursett has excellent patient interaction skills and is a good communicator with a great positive attitude. I actually enjoyed the eye exam because of the good conversation and because she explained what she was doing and how they would be done and what the tests meant for my eye health. Andrea was great as well with fitting my glasses. They made a very quick job of helping to find me frames that I like and did not overwhelm me with thousands of choices. Together they make a fantastic team. I will definitely return to this eye doctor from now on and highly recommend this business. Plus there is very convenient, free parking in the garage below the office.

I saw Dr. Bursett almost 2 years ago, before I had a Unilocal account, actually before I knew what Unilocal was. But I am compelled to write a review bc I recently had a horrible experience at another optometrist– one that i saw in Chicago since I relocated 1 year ago (you are welcome to read my previous review of Level Optical). It pains me to say that no one can compare to Bursett optometry.
Dr. Bursett was kind, patient, and very gentle with my exam. She never made me feel uncomfortable and I felt she thoroughly explained everything.
No what was the biggest difference in my experience (because any optometrist can prescribe the right prescription), was Andrea. I love Andrea. Andrea was patient, she never once made me feel «irregular» as my last experience with an optical technician (is that correct?) did. Apparently my head was too large for a number of the frames. Andrea never once made me feel irregular, ugly, or different. She managed to find the best pair of frames for me– that I still get compliments on, btw, and she made me feel beautiful in them. She was also willing to go above and beyond for me– mailing me contacts without charge. I can’t believe how terrible customer service can be at other optometrists. I clearly was blessed to have such a great experience with Bursett. Now, it’s disappointing that I can’t find a similar optometrist who delivers the same amount of customer service.
Overall, check Dr. Bursett and Andrea out. If, and when, I return to Seattle, I won’t think twice about seeing anyone else.

Despite not being a patient of Dr. Bursett I had such an amazing interaction with Andrea that I had to write a review. While shopping around for eye glasses she answered questions for me that other offices would have charged for or refused to answer all together. She was patient, kind, and honest with her opinions. It’s really nice to be treated like a human being –especially in a doctors office ironically enough even if you can’t afford their services. But if you can afford it, have health insurance and/​or are debating between another office you should definitely talk to Andrea.

Doctor is thorough and office is efficient. They helped me navigate the coupons and rebates to get a bunch of money off my contact lens order.

Andrea was very helpful. She didn’t laugh at my ridiculously huge head once, and even found frames to fit it! Very patient & kind. Highly recommended.

I’ve been wearing glasses for about 17 years now and I have to say that Dr. Bursett is the best eye doctor I’ve ever experienced!
What I love about her/​her office:
1) You can tell she knows her stuff and enjoys what she does. She explains everything clearly and is always attentive to any questions or concerns I may have.
2) Office staff are incredibly friendly.
3) I’ve never spent more than 2 minutes more than I have to in the office– there’s been barely a wait all 5 or 6 times I have gone for appointments.
4) Actually, I’m going to go back to #1 here: I love how attentive and ready to answer questions she is.
This practice is worth all 5 of the stars I give it!
