Reviewed: 2014/May(restored from lost profile) «We were so happy with the food and coffee. We sat in the window and started with the chicken caesar and cobb salad. They were fresh and had what appeared to be homemade croutons. The dressings were both really good too(also homemade??)! The muenster monster sandwich and chicken ranch wrap were also both fresh and delicious. Finally, the blueberry and peach muffins which are made in house were scrumptious with the perfect Mexican mochas. Would definitely go back.»

Stumbled across this place while walking around looking for a breakfast spot. Kinda small place with an Artsy vibe to it. The girl working put together a great Egg an Bacon Burrito for me. Worth the stop.

How do you screw up a muffin? Let it be alive for too many days. This was our first Seattle coffee shop experience and we were happy it didn’t slow us down. The lady serving us seemed to either be crying or in the midst of an allergy attack. We ordered a couple coffees and an eggnog muffin. I should have known better on the muffin as you can see the pastries sitting in the window overnight — it was completely stale. I felt cheated while eating it. Vibe wasn’t cool and I’ll pass on the sad and stale muffin.

I work a few blocks from here and this place has become my new go-to breakfast spot. Their service can not be beat, there our multiple other cafés around 6th and union, but this place is always radiating good vibes. One morning I had a serious craving for French toast, which is not on the menu and they made it anyway. Not to mention the banana bread is the best I’ve come across.

We were staying at a convention near the café and wanted to grab something close by on a slow Sunday. We came here after seeing the Unilocal reviews and were super happy with our breakfast burritos. The owner made one vegetarian and we asked for the other one to be «wrap-less” – it was fantastic.

During pax they must take a huge hit on quality. I’ve had two mochas here and a breakfast burrito. The first mocha was bad and the second was terrible. The burrito you can tell had been sitting under a heat lamp all morning.

NOTE: written 10÷8÷13 my husband and i are in seattle for our honeymoon, and we stopped in this artsy little coffeeshop for some caffeine and a break from the rain. such a good decision. after the barista not only answered my many questions about their sugar free flavors and was patient with my indecisiveness, he asked some friendly questions and discovered we were on our honeymoon. as a result, he gave us our drinks on the house. what business does that?! I am blown away by their hospitality, and on top of that, the drinks are amazing. do yourself a favor and come here. places like this deserve your business.

Compared to the mediocrity upstairs, this place was an excellent breakfast option and I would encourage any one staying in the Hilton to come here. It’s not of the hotel but seems to appear on all their signs. I asked the hotel what the Café downstairs serves, and their response was«What café?» Had a quick breakfast here. They have make your own burrito or sandwich with eggs and veggies. Also the strata of the day is definitely worth getting if you are not grab and go. My Co worker also got and oatmeal which she loved and raved about. The coffee was quite excellent too. Had an Americano and tested perfect not watery. Lots of soy, rice almond etc milk options and an entire case of gluten free snacks! Loved it and would love to come back if in the area.

Small café with only bar seating for about 8 people. Ordered: –beet salad(lots of beets, feta cheese, greens– good flavor, got dressing on the side. raspberry vinaigrette was light and tasty) –turkey cranberry wrap(favorite of the 3) –chicken pesto sandwich(this is a hot sandwich. comes on ciabatta bread and has sundried tomatoes, cheese, chunky pesto with plenty of shredded chicken) all in all, a great place for a quick lunch!

I don’t know if she is the owner everybody has been talking about, but she is awesome. As I was standing and staring at the menu board the woman behind the counter engaged me in a very friendly probing of what I was looking for. It turns out I was looking for a handmade burger stuffed with blue cheese, served on a ciabatta bun with wild lettuce and celery slices topped with a perfectly blended chipotle sauce she also made this morning. I know I was shocked that that is what I was looking for as well. But I’m glad I found it because it was freaking amazing. Add to that a perfectly done dirty chai latte, almost made twice as dirty by a little conversation. She came by half way through my burger just to know if it came out ok and if the cheese had made it all the way to delicious. And it did. All in all I recommend this place for a great bite to eat, a great atmosphere, great service and great coffee.

I have visited Café Abodegas several times now. I’m from California and was visiting Seattle for the first time two years ago, and my first experience here was amazing. The Staff are extremely friendly, and super helpful. They make you feel welcomed, which is always a plus. I recently visited Café Abodegas once again, which was on Valentines Day(2−14−14) and on that day bought the Spicy Mexican Mocha. The Mexican Mocha has a «kick» to it because they include chili flakes on the top of the mix. It’s an acquired taste, and probably not for someone who doesn’t like spicy drinks or food. On this same day I spoke to the owner, and mentioned to him how on my last visit he had made some homemade Chili Beans. They were one of the best items on the menu, and if there was any possible way he could make this happen once again on my current visit. He was so polite and accommodating, stated that if I returned the next day and because I was fan, he would make a batch of Chili. I returned to the Café Abodegas on 2−15−14, and sure enough Chili Beans were made! :) These Chili Beans are delicious, everything is homemade, and the owner even adds additional toppings to the bowl. I was fortunate enough to enjoy my two day experience here at Café Abodegas with my girlfriend. We both enjoyed the Chai Latte, bowl of Chili Beans, and Spicy Mexican Mocha. When we return to Seattle, we will definitely return here. Thank you Café Abodegas for a wonderful experience. :)

Love this place. I work literally right next to them… and when I have time, i try to stop by and grab a cup of coffee or something to eat. Every time i went in there, the owner was always there to greet you. Everyone is really nice and friendly. The pastries and baked goods are yummy. They also have vegan or gluten free items which is a good substitution. The prices are pretty affordable. I especially love their nutella croissant with bananas. It’s a great local coffee place, check it out if you are around the area!

Needed an Americano, and had been planning on going to Voxx but it was closed, so we ventured here! Busy morning, lots of gamers fueling themselves for PAX(myself included!). The Americano was decent, and I like that the only choice of milk was cream. I don’t know if this is normal or not here, but that’s all I ever add anyways so yes please! Very loud people serving, maybe that’s the intent to wake everyone up…

This place was cute and the people were nice. Other than that, I dunno what the fuss is about. $ 8 gets you a juicy, but flavorless pulled pork sandwich. Granted I did ask them if it was smoked beforehand, and they confirmed it wasn’t. No sugar. No spice. No tang. The ciabatta was a decent touch but was way too much bread for the amount of filling. $ 2.25 extra gets you a $.50 bottle of water and $ 1 bag of chips. The bag of chips might have been worth $ 1.50. Oh, and I was disappointed that they stopped serving breakfast at 10am on Sunday.

Café ABoDegas is near my work and there was a Groupon NOW deal. As a dedicated Unilocaler I checked it out and saw all these raves about Jazmine. So I went for a quick breakfast and coffee this morning She is amazing! When I came in she asked if I had been there and was really nice when I was figuring out what to eat. While she was making my food and latte she talked to me about my job and where I usually go for coffee. It felt very genuine, like talking to a friend. Before I left she asked my name and introduced herself. My breakfast bagel sandwich and my 1 pump vanilla late was perfect. I will be back tomorrow morning, and Thursday, and Friday. And next week and weeks after that. Her service makes this the best café in Seattle, hands down.

On 6th between Union & University — cozy with a few counter seats. Perfect place on a nice day so you can take it across the street to the courtyard or park. Get the turkey wrap or one of their cold sandwiches/salads.
