Cafe At Marginal Way

Check out the «healthy scramble» on the breakfast menu. If you don’t eat it quickly, it will likely over saturated the cardboard container it is served in and fall to the floor. If this does indeed happen to you be extremely careful because the floor will be an oil slick afterwards… even if it is carpeted.
It really is unfortunate that this is such a rundown café with little aspiration for greatness. That said, it is primarily there to feed government employees… so who gives a shit.

This café is located inside the Federal Building which houses the MEPS (Military Entry Processing) offices. It’s name is actually Fairlane Café.
We were here to send our daughter off to Army basic training before she starts her career in the Army Band. The café is cheap and the food is decent. It’s not a café that the general public can go to since entrance to the building involves armed security and metal scanners! It’s a shame because it’s a perfect quick stop to grab a breakfast sandwich or burger. The hashbrowns are cooked with plenty of butter too — crispy and sweet! Did I mention they have tater tots?! We had breakfast and lunch (MEPS is a long process) and both meals were good, cheap and fast.
If you have business in the Federal Building I highly recommend you grab a bite in the café.
