Oh man what a shame. I’ve been coming here for a long time. It’s always been good and reliable. But lately there is a new guy handling much of the duties. Bearded, glasses, long hair. He seems like a perfectly nice guy BUTOHSOSLOW!!! One drink coming out maybe every ten minutes. People wait and wait and wait now. This is new. It’s gonna quickly kill my ability to continue to spend money here. I urge the restaurant to take action to speed it up to prior levels! Update: just walked out of this place. While numerous customers waited in line this same slow poke was literally jawboning with his friends in the back looking at pictures on their phones. Doing absolutely nothing to serve the waiting customers. When this went on for a couple of minutes I left. Others in the waiting line were quite agitated. This is ridiculously bad behavior and whoever is managing this place is being completely taken advantage of by this horrible employee. Wow. Unbelievable. Never seen anything like it at a coffee shop. I will never go here again.

I like the coffee but last time I was treated that rudely by a business I was being manhandled by TSA for having too much hair gel. Don’t ever need to come here again.

I’ve been in a handful of times, and every single time not one of the staff has acknowledged that I walked in. I end up standing in awkward silence for a few minutes while the baristas do absolutely anything but help me. Eventually when they get around to it they are short and rude. This has happened with multiple staff members. The coffee is good but expensive and the expere does not make up for it.

Cute coffee spot that is in the neighborhood and across from PCC. I went in the afternoon to get some studying done and was surprised at how crowded it was! I did find a table and got a tall mocha. It was pretty tasty and not too sweet, but not the best I’ve ever had. I love that there are huge windows that allow lots of lighting to come in. I hate those dark dim coffee shops where I’m straining my eyes. The barista was friendly and down to earth. The level of noise wasn’t too loud either. I would definitely return since it’s walking distance from my boyfriend’s house.

Great coffees and teas as well as lots of table space. This is one of my favorite places to study! I love the neighborhood too!

Chelsea, Rian, and the gang are amazing. I love that they are constantly improving the place with more shelves, the new espresso machine, etc. Best place ever!

I saw a video of them making some sort of coffee-infused cocktail. This is what made me think of this place. Prior to the visit, I had the chance to have their coffee at Geraldine’s Counter in the vicinity. I was hooked and I had to visit. I bought a couple bags of beans and an Americano. Excellent pulled shot. Parking fairly easy to find on the street and the ambiance seemed decent. We took it to go.

Love the ambience. Plenty of seatings(around 15+ tables) and large windows for plenty of sunlight. Very family friendly and noise level is very minimal. Located right across the street from PCC so convenient if you want to grab some coffee before or after you grocery shop. Plenty of street parking but can get crowded at times due to PCC, even with their own parking lot. They have a great variety of drinks and selection of pastries. A lot of paintings from, I’m sure, are local artists which offered a nice touch to the décor. Ordered a latte and the latte I received was beautifully poured and tasted even better. I was even contemplating whether I should order another while I sat here for 2 hours sipping the same latte slowly because I didn’t want it to finish. The barista/cashier was friendly and knowledgeable about his coffee as I questioned him. You want a barista who knows coffee, especially for the company he’s working for. It’s comforting to know that you’re going to get a good cup of coffee. I’ve yet to try their chai due to the many praises but theres plenty of chances as this will not be my only visit.

So glad I get to stay near Café Vita during my trip. Every day I’ve been greeted by a friendly barista and had the tastiest lattes!

I love the place, it’s not too crowded and it’s easy to find parking. My co-worker recommended this coffee shop since I’ve been looking for a local Seattle produce the experience was excellent, they didn’t have the Guatemala coffee bean which they say was a good choice anyway it means it’s a good tasting one. Based on their website, I was expecting to spend around $ 50 for 5bags of coffee but I ended up paying for $ 80+ it was unexpected however my friends whom I gave it too loved it… So, maybe that was fine since I got the quality it deserves.

Love this place! We are vacationing in the neighborhood and get our daily caffeine fix here. Great lattes… and that is saying something in Seattle. Open 6am to 8 pm… so convenient!

I’m pretty hurt by the poor reviews this Caffe Vita gets. I stop by no less than 3x a week with my girlfriend for an Americano and a vanilla latte and have never once had a bad experience. In addition to my regular coffee visits, this is my coffee shop of choice when it comes to having to do work on the weekends. The baristas are super friendly and always ask how your day is or what your’e up to. They actually seem to genuinely care unlike most places who seem required to engage in conversation. Even if its a lie, they do a damn good job of masking it. 5 starts for acting, if nothing else. :) On slower days the baristas here will happily pay you more attention, but otherwise its understandable that they are trying to get drinks to the bar as quickly as possible for everyone else. Despite how crowded it has been in the past, our drinks have come out with consistency and passion every time. The one time her latte was sub par, we kindly informed them and they replaced the drink with fresh espresso and milk. They offer pastries and various bottled beverages. The bacon quiche is what my girlfriend and I like to say… deLiche(get it?). You can opt to have it served as is, in which case they advise you on the best way to heat it up(awesome) or they will gladly toast it up for you on site and serve it to you warmed. I’ve spoiled myself with a cookie or two form here as well and was extremely satisfied. Apparently their donuts(supplied by Mighty O) are legit, but I have yet to try them for myself. There is a rotating wall art display that is usually entertaining and appealing. Sometimes the art is for sale and at a reasonable price. I’ve also paid my visits to the capitol hill location and would recommend this to everyone.

This is a great local neighborhood coffee place. I love this location and the coffee is great! Perfect set-up inside for getting some work done or meeting with friends. Ample street parking as well.

Coffee: Simply the greatest French press coffee I have ever had. Highly recommend you try it. They have mighty O donuts too which is awesome. To spread the good word about Vita I now buy all my coffee gift cards here. Service: Baristas are super friendly and zero ego which is nice for a micro roaster. Ambiance: It gets drafty by the door but just find a seat toward the side. Nothing fancy here but they keep it clean.

Great place, love the ambience. It’s a pretty awesome and family friendly. Ordered a dirty chai and the shot and milk were perfect. Not like crapbucks. I think the fact that my phone wanted to autocorrect that to Starbucks should tell you something. I digress, will definitely come here again.

Love this locally owned café. Super friendly workers, great bagels, delicious desserts and tasty chai. Free wifi and good vibe all around for having a couple of hours of productivity. Don’t pass it up if looking for a good work spot.

I love this Caffe Vita. The location is great and lacks all the run of the mill white people who work remotely. So it’s a win-win-win.

I know this will sound completely hyperbolic, but it’s true: This Caffe Vita served me one of the worst-tasting hot chocolates I’ve ever purchased. So bland. And the thing is — how can one make a bad hot chocolate? I don’t get it. I was completely disappointed. Besides that, my boyfriend really enjoyed his cappuccino, and the art currently showcased by a local artist is really awesome. Beautiful photographs of Burma had me interested. The server seemed to be the only one working and was getting ready to close up the shop(it was almost 7PM) and just seemed like she wanted to get the hell out of there already.

I’ve stopped by here twice now for a pick-me-up(my preferred drink of Americano, black) in between shopping at PCC and picking up the kids. Both times my coffee was made perfectly. Not too strong nor too weak, and none of that awful bitterness that one occasionally gets with espresso drinks, even from Starbucks from time to time. I did notice they were sorely lacking in snacks and nibbles, but I attributed it to the time of day(early evening). I tried a biscotti, but it was way too hard and crumbly for my taste, even as far as biscottis go. Had a different barista each time, and no problem with the customer service, they were friendly and fine.

The question is — why didn’t I try Caffe Vita sooner?! I’ve had three mochas here now, and each one has been top notch. The drink has several interesting and delicious flavor notes. With a perfect degree of sweetness, there is a nice design crafted onto the top of the drink. I also like the ceramic cups in which Caffe Vita serves their drinks. Calm clean refined interior, not your typical Seattle rough-around-the-edges coffee house. Plenty of seating here too. Bonus points for playing Norwegian group Röyksopp when I came in the other day. Additional bonus points for Icelander Bjork coming on after Röysksopp. A business has captured my heart when it showcases Scandinavian artists on its sound system, because that’s not something you come across every day.
