Not great delivery, came late and was cold. Food was nothing to write about, but probably was affected by the delivery issues. There aren’t many Chinese options that deliverin West Seattle so this at least is rare. Hope your General Tso’s Chicken is better than mine was.

Great food. Hot and fresh. Mediocre delivery service. I had to call after 2 hours of waiting around(I’m patient, I work retail). Then, was told the driver was lost?! He has our phone number we live on a corner lot, oh well! It was worth the wait, just wish I hadn’t pre tipped on Eat24, their customer service(Eat24) is lacking.

If I could give it half a star, I would. I was so excited, being a new West Seattle resident, after hearing some people tell me how tasty it was! But I guess things have definitely changed since they reopened. My boyfriend and I got take out from here. Ended up throwing it away, and ordering food from another place. The rice wasn’t appetizing, and both our dinners(General Taos and Mongolian Beef) were dry and didn’t taste good at all.

No more family dinners! I hate the new menu. Now we have to find somewhere else.

I ordered last week and had a great meal. Two entrée’s; one with steamed rice one with noodles. Did the same thing this evening and recieved two entrée’s and three steamed rice. I was all the way back at my house when I noticed but I wanted my noodles so I drove back. When I got there they informed me that if I wanted noodles it would be $ 8. I told them I wanted what I ordered, one steamed rice one noodles-the same thing I ordered last week. This place has terrible service, avoid it.

The food never arrived! We called a few times after it was an hour late and gave up after two hours. No response. I should have read the reviews first ;)

We ordered delivery from them on Eat24 tonight and it took 2 hours and 15 minutes to get to us when we are 2 miles away. My husband called after we waited an hour and a half and they told him the order was sent late but they had just left with it. That was obviously not true because it took them another 40 minutes to get to us…2 miles away. So to me it sounds like they forgot about our order and then lied about it when we called them. And on top of that they didn’t bring the sweet and sour sauce for my meal. Really crappy customer service. We will not be ordering from them again.

Sad that they changed the menu we used to order a couple times a month– none of the food we liked is on the new menu. Looking for a decent place to Order decent Chinese not Chinese BBQ for delivery in West Seattle any ideas?

We once enjoyed this place for delivery 1 – 2 times per month. Tonight we called to order and were informed that they had a new menu. We were disappointed by the offerings, but decided to give it a whirl. I have never had such an unsatisfying meal. We literally threw the food away. The General chicken looks exactly like the frozen Costco nuggets we buy for our kids– only with a little sauce. The BBQ duck was gummy snd pink, the rice was dry and crunchy, the potsickers also look like a Costco purchase. The eggrolls were edible. Looks like were back at square 1 for dinner.

Dang it. Dang it. Dang it. Why oh why did you have to change your menu? Chopstix has been in this location for a couple of years and during that time I’ve enjoyed many meals both in the restaurant and via delivery. It was always really satisfying. I loved their General Taos Chicken, Almond Chicken, Singapore Noodles and BBQ Fried Rice. It was my impression they did a pretty good business, but for whatever reason they closed their doors a couple of months ago to retool their menu into a Chinese BBQ place. Sounded interesting, so when I discovered they re-opened, I went online to check out the new menu. I was immediately disappointed, but decided to place an order for delivery. BBQ is now in their name, so the new menu is predominantly meat by the pound. Peking Duck, ribs, etc. I don’t have a problem with this concept. Who doesn’t love good BBQ? My problem is they only seem to offer meat with Chinese 5-spice rub — which I generally like, but done with a heavy hand it can be really bad. I’m afraid our pork ribs were really bad. They were super greasy, and the spice was so overpowering that we could not eat more then a few pieces. We also ordered General Taos Chicken and BBQ Pork Fried Rice. Both of which were not great. My partner and I were both convinced the chicken was the frozen breaded chicken pieces from Costco, with a squeeze of sweet chili sauce passing for General Taos. The rice was bland and tasted stale. I’m afraid to say this will probably be our last Chopstix BBQ experience. I try to support local businesses, and will keep my eye on Unilocal to see if their feedback improves. They’re close and deliver. I want them to succeed. Its just to bad they changed their menu.

The food wasn’t totally awesome, but it was good, cheap, utilitarian Chinese food. If you bitchy yuppies could find some other hobby besides destroying someone’s business, shuttling kids around, kicking out the blue-collar people that made this neighborhood, and posting crappy rant filled hatred on the Internet, you could understand that this place isn’t fine dining. Don’t worry though, give it about five more years and you’ll have all the restaurants you’re used to having in LA and the Silicon Valley. The Alaska Junction will be all yours: a soulless, lifeless, shell of its former self. Exactly the way you left San Francisco.

Well, I am so very sad… Chopstix recently changed their menu. Tonite, I ordered one of my favorite items — dumplings. About a year ago, I had the pleasure of tasting REAL Chinese dumplings at a friend’s house. I was thrilled, when I ordered them from Chopstix, after having them at my friend’s home(bc I now crave authentic Chinese dumplings), to realize they were pretty good and definitely mad in house. With this new menu, those authentic dumplings are no longer — they have been replaced by mass-produced gyozas… which are NOT Chinese dumplings. Chopstix will likely lose my patronage… bc my order was always motivated by Chinese dumplings.

I’ve been to the restaurant before and the food is ok but when you call for a delivery the young woman taking the order is very unfamiliar with food service terms like«dinner combo» or «can I substitute» and seems extremely confused on the phone — ordering can take several minutes — you end up repeating and correcting information during each call. It drags on forever then a second person will get on the phone because the first receptionist isn’t understanding a simple concept and you have to repeat everything to the 2nd person — bottom line go there and eat — it’s quicker than dealing with them over the phone to get an order…

Worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. Dirty establishment. Every dish seemed to have the same«gravy sauce». Lazy. I know West Seattle is lacking in good Chinese food, but to anyone who rated this over 1 star, did you forget what Chinese food is supposed to taste like? I would be embarrassed to take money for food of this caliber. I hope the owners read the negative reviews and figure out how to run a real restaurant. HELLO! I was the recipient of nasty food poisoning from Chopstix, which is sad given that I ordered from there about once a month leading up to this. It leveled me for 5 days. Think twice about what you’d like for dinner tonight.

I ordered General Tso chicken, pork chow mein and double mushroom chicken and they tasted great, alright, and gross, in that order. I’m a bit on the worried side, now, because I don’t know if I’m going to get gross food or good food the next time I order.

I have been here a few times. The food and service are really good. I’ve had the Orange chicken and prawns with snow peas. The recent remodel is very classy and the dining room is nice and clean. Over all a great experience. We will defiantly be back.

Service: absolutely wonderful. We were greeted by a cheery young gal when we came in to order takeout. Despite having to juggle countless orders being placed over the phone and taking care of diners in the restaurant, she always had a big smile on her face. She also offered me water while we waited which was really nice. Ambiance: the restaurant is small(there are only ten or so tables inside) and caters to the takeout crowd. While we were waiting for our order, their phone was constantly ringing from people placing to-go and delivery orders. Although this is more of a carry out place, they did do a nice job decorating the dining area. Food – of course, the biggest factor in my rating: I went in expecting your typical Chinese takeout, and my expectations were certainly met. We ordered the chicken chow mein, chicken in garlic sauce with extra veggies combo, sesame chicken combo, and the summer rolls. Everything was fine – not excellent, not terrible. The sesame chicken, egg rolls, and chicken with sweet and sour(part of the combo) were just a bit too heavy for my liking – lots of breading and a little greasy. A lot of the chicken was cooked well, but a couple pieces ended up a bit dry. I did like the sauce on the sesame chicken though; it was sweet without being overly sugary tasting like other sesame chicken I’ve had. The won ton soup(also part of the combo) was average. The broth didn’t taste homemade, but instead was on the salty side(as if pre-made stock was used). Overall, just as I had anticipated for this kind of restaurant. If you’re looking for some affordable, average Chinese takeout, keep this place in mind. They have free delivery if you live within a three mile radius, so it’s definitely a place to consider if you’re having one of those lazy days and don’t want to leave home. Just don’t set your expectations too high.

The food is pretty good. Probably even better than standard Chinese food. But they charge extra for rice… Weird. It’s not pricey rice, but still pricier than FREE, which is usually what it is at other places…

I traipsed the 2 miles from apartment to Chopstix after passing them day after day for months on this sunny random Wednesday to order the Chicken Chow Mein(which looked pretty appealing from other reviewers) and Prawns with Lobster Sauce, both without MSG, as takeout. The lady manning the register seemed surprised to see me when I walked up and I discovered why when I walked back to the ladies room passing empty tables the whole way. Not that the place is very large. Only about six tables but pleasingly decorated in paper lanterns dimly lit with painted red walls. On the other hand, their waiting area is pretty cozy, too, so I surmise the fact that they are one of the rare places that offer delivery, they don’t depend on dine-in. They don’t give you rice, utensils nor napkins by default which is actually pretty responsible of them, but noted here so you ask if you must have them. I must have been sweating a bit too much from my walk because she offered me water, which I refused, and then brought me a glass where I waited anyway about 5 minutes later. A considerate touch. My meal was piping hot so the walk home allowed it some time to cool. Chow mein is on the salty side, chicken breast not velveted like they do at many Chinese restaurants, and pretty scarce of any vegetables other than some yellow and very wilted green onions. Not devoid of flavor considering I ordered it without MSG but nothing to distinguish it either. The same applies to the Prawns in Lobster Sauce. It’s the kind you expect in a chickeny broth laced with cubed carrots, peas, egg thread and medium shrimp. It’s good but not outstanding. Bill total came to just about $ 20. I may try it again in the future, but I’ll take my noodles from Lee’s although Lee’s is not unapologetically American Chinese fast food and so lacks the menu items you want if you’re looking for the down and dirty stuff that makes our diets so beloved by the medical community. :)
