The hard-​to-​fix car I cited in my original review started suffering from old age, so I took it here to get a diagnosis. Not only did he fail to deliver any comprehensive diagnosis, he took 2 weeks when he promised a 1-​day turnaround. That’s right. I waited a week to meet an appointment he committed to, and he sat on it for 2 weeks.
In terms of the comprehensive diagnosis, when he said he didn’t detect anything wrong, I asked him if he drove the car. He said yes. I asked him if he drove the car up a hill, he said he didn’t. If you know the area, imagine going 4 blocks in any direction and not going up a hill.
Aaaand he charged me $ 300 for the non-​work. I normally delete my praise when I find good work subsequently unpraiseworthy, but he not only failed to deliver but he overcharged me for the work he didn’t do.
Also worth noting, a friend brought another exotic-​ish car to him for a similar diagnosis and he found nothing, but suggested a new engine. Fuel filter, the fix took my friend 20 minutes and cost him $ 15.
Bottom Line:
He gets an ‘F’ for «that shit is fucked up».

My fiancé and I have been having issues with our 2002 ford focus. My car had been stalling out/​dying if i was going really slow or at a stop light and with me being pregnant we needed it fixed! Our good friend ordered parts and was supposed to do it but other obligations got in the way and since we were waiting for him my car got worse. We called dere auto shop they were going to charge us quite a bit and couldn’t get me in till Wednesday so have me a reference to complete auto. After explaining the urgency he told me he would squeeze me in, thank god!!! He did a great job and fairly priced. He was great and helpful we will for sure be going back for any auto needs. Thank You so much!!!

Yay, we now have a mechanic! We brought our 10 year old car in yesterday for brake problems. Ben, the owner gave us a ballpark, we left the car and he called when he found the exact problems, giving us a solid price. It needed a few things done along with the brakes which we did know about. As we are on a budget, Ben explained what needed to be done now, what can wait and worked with us and our budget. His prices are fair, he is honest, the work was done the same day and the car runs really well. We are thrilled that we found Complete Auto Repair.

OK, first– I haven’t actually *been* there. But I called to get a price quote for an oil change for my 1999 V6 Passat. $ 89 plus tax … are you kidding me? The dealer charges me $ 75, plus they (the dealer) provide a free shuttle service and/​or loaner cars. I was trying to find somewhere local — I live in WS — but it sure won’t be C.A.R.

They’ve always been more than helpful and honest. Prices aren’t the cheapest in town but the work is solid. I try to do alot of work on my truck myself but I feel good knowing that if something is beyond my capabilities I have this place close by that I can rely on.

This place is awesome, I have been having car trouble and my last mechanic wasn’t a nice guy and seemed like he always over charged me, so I checked on Unilocal and found C.A.R with 5 stars and now I know why.
He is a really nice guy and honest, told me some parts didn’t need replacing. He called me with updates right away and rough estimates that were pretty spot on. He asked if he could keep it overnight because of the work being done which was thoughtful. What seemed like a job that was going to take long he was super fast and got me my car back pretty fast.
Need work done go to this place, I know I will go back for car problems in the future.

I had my car towed here just after closing time, and Ben waited the few minutes to get me checked in, although he could have split and had me use the key drop.
I had a phone call from him before 11:00 am the following day saying I needed a new starter. He got right on the job and I was able to pick my car up that evening. Much better than the first place I had called on a recommendation who said they’d be happy to look at my car… In 6 days.
Ben treated me with respect and didn’t pad the bill as other mechanics have done. There are some other things that could stand work on this car to make it perfect, but it’s 17 years old and we are not trying to make it perfect. Just moving is good enough for this vehicle. I told Ben we weren’t interested in perfecting the car, just keeping it safe, and he didn’t bug us about anything further. (I had gone in for an oil change last year and came out with a list of $ 4000 worth of repairs that of course had to be done «immediately». Get real.)
I’m drifting… The bottom line is that I feel very lucky that I stumbled across Complete Auto Repair. They’re 2 blocks from my house, how lucky to find a mechanic you can trust that is ALSO right by your house. They’ve been in business for years and now I know why.

The experiences that I have had at Complete Auto Repair have been great. I started taking my car to them when their mechanics gave me a second opinion on $ 600 worth of work that a chain store told me to do — C.A.R. could have taken my money and run but instead they told me straight out that the other advice was baloney and didn’t charge me a dime. I feel like they have been nothing but honest and that their work is great.
