Love the atmosphere on Saturday nights, never have had a bad experience! Reign Drop entertainment was holding it down! Drinks are great!

I was visiting seattle and came to this lounge after the seahawks/49ers game. The positive was that there were a lot of fans and they had a decent deal on a bucket of beer. There was only one waitress and one bartender. they didn’t have enough fries to serve with the burgers nor did they have enough wings even though it was on the menu. They charges us full price even though our burgers were supposed to come with fries but didn’t. Service was VERY slow and they were understocked. Why didn’t they have more stock, especially after a game when business is the best? They had enough TVs and it was clean and looked okay, that’s the only reason why it gets 2 stars

I went to the Happy Hour here for the first time today. A Guiness, a Manny’s, and an order of Thai Wings for about $ 11.50 during Happy Hour. Not bad at all. I liked it here. They seem to be trying to go for the hip yuppy scene in this part of town, similar to the Contour. This was a «Happy Hour for the Cure» in honor of a co-worker who is running a marathon with sponsor money that also goes toward leukemia. Good food; good cause. I dig.

3Stars — Club interior 3Stars — Crowd 1Star — Service Saturday night, rolled up around 1130ish. I asked the bouncer how it was inside, and of course his wise words were«come in, its bumpin inside bro!!». Luckily, i was able to convince him to let us cut infront of the huge line of invisible people waiting to get in … Inside was okay, ambient and had a «loungey feel». The crowd was predominately«made in china» with a 5% mix. Definitely a more mature crowd but wasnt exactly«bumpin inside bro».The bar setup was retarded, a very narrow strip running parallel to the bar. We decided to just grab a couple rounds of henny and bounce elsewhere. The service was horrible. My 4 buddies and i lined the bar. Had two different bartenders say«one sec» as we patiently watched them clean, and put things away that required no urgency for 10MINUTES. Aside from being annoyed, i was honestly more surprised these individuals were not eager to generate money. I looked around we werent the only ones holding out money and waiting for the visually impaired employees to perform the impossible act of «pouring». We left n took our business elsewhere.

I’m a big boy and like my portions large. Didn’t happen here. I did find myself dancing for the party i was with after consuming 2 long islands(mind you, on an empty stomach — not the goodest way to impress a server). Has a good ambience about it. Female patrons can be type hot if you’re inebriated enuff. .

Went there twice for lunch. The first time I had one of the lunch menu special items. I don’t remember what it was, but it was good. The second time I had the pad thai lunch item. It was good and spicy! They didn’t turn on the a/c during lunch time, but other than that, it was fine. They have a small outside porch area where we ate lunch the first time and they had umbrellas to shade us from the sun.

Well, let’s see… My night at Crimson would have been better if I was intoxicated but I was the DD that night. Viewing everything from a sober young adult was quite interesting here at Crimson. It was ladies’ night out for the first time in a long time. I would say one month of not hitting up bars and clubs is a pretty long time for a 21 yr old. LOL We arrive to Crimson and it looks kind of dead… Just a few people standing outside… We got in for free because one of the girls knew a guy promoting there. Thank GOD, for the free cover because it was not worth paying to get into this place. Like any other clubs in Pioneer Square there’s always the asian crowd who seem to overload a lot of places at night. I would say this place is semi-diverse. Just SEMI! :) The music was okay, could of been better but who cares if you were drunk, right? The interior was thee only best part of the place. It actually looks better than Conture but Conture has better music. Overall, it was an okay experience while being sober. I’m guessing my sister and her friends who were intoxicated didn’t really enjoy it because of the music.

So, the good: bartenders and security guys were really nice. Drinks were stiff(and that’s really the only way I survived this place) and service was attentive. Unfortunately, one of my friends got sick and the security guys helped us take care of her. I was super thankful they were there and just geniunely nice. The bad: the crowd — it’s a b&t crowd all the way. A whole lot of young kids and their«night on the town,» lechourous guys sitting around and watching the women dance. Yuck. Anyway, I came, I saw, I moved on …

Things are turning around for this venue. One of my favorite promoters has taken it on and he’s already packing them in. I threw a dinner here and was impressed with portion sizes and price. Nothing to complain about except tables are designed for four only, even when put together(the legs get in the way). Try the Mussels, Tom Yum, Larb. There was a boring chicken salad that looked like Microsoft cafeteria style, but otherwise, this menu is a success. Wine list needs a bit of work. It goes from a $ 20.00 pinot grigio to $ 300.00 bottle of champagne with nothing in between. A $ 40 — $ 50 range with sparkling/cremant/cab etc. would be good to do. Current choices have little to pair with Thai food. But it’s a club, so four stars to the only place in Seattle where Lil’ Wayne and Bangkok see eye to eye.

Definitely not for food! A friend and I went there for lunch and it was horrible. The Pad Thai was basically noodles and ketchup and some cracked peanuts; I kid you not! I picked the safest item on the menu; a chicken curry dish that was mediocre at best. The place looks pretty swanky and the bar had really good selection of liqueurs so I guess it is a cool place for happy hour and meat market activities, but as I said definitely not or food!

Simply put, this bar is grossly underwhelming. We came here to celebrate my best friend’s birthday. Imagine our dismay when we realize that we were the first ones there at 10:00pm… on a Saturday night. Oh, people came in gradually over the next hour and a half, but the place could still best be described as «lacking,» even when we left at 11:50pm. Despite our early arrival, we paid $ 10 for cover(although we eventually got a $ 5 discount when they started handing out discount flyers). Why does Crimson C think they can even get away with cover when they barely have a «scene» to tout? And why do I have to wait 15 minutes to get a drink when(at the time) the only customers in the entire establishment was my party? The only good thing about Crimson C are the hilarious puns that can be yielded from its name.

If you’re doing the First Thursday Art Walk and need a drink or snack this place is a pretty good spot. They have happy hour Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm with both food and drink specials. They also have big leather comfy couches that you can sink into and take a nap in if you like. And for those wondering the ladies room was clean and fully stocked even at the end of happy hour. Not a bad place to stop in plus the service is always friendly and great.

The first thing I noticed about this Pioneer Square bar is that it doesn’t look like it belongs in Pioneer Square, which could perhaps explain its near emptiness, while the J&M next door had people spilling out the front. Crimson C is all red and black, dark wood, Asian-inspired interior, with a HUGE bar taking up almost an entire wall. Their Happy Hour menu prices are $ 3 wells, $ 2 Miller(ew), and $ 3, $ 4 or $ 6 appetizers. The apps are pretty standard — Spring Rolls, Fresh Garden Rolls, Red Curry Mussels, Pot Stickers, Tempura Prawns & Vegetables, Thai Wings, Lettuce wraps, Calamari, Fried Tofu and BBQ Pork. We opted for 2 cheapies: the potstickers & spring rolls @ $ 3 each. Not bad, not great, but just fine for deep fried food. Next time, I wouldn’t mind trying the Red Curry Mussels(altho seafood at a bar always makes me tiny bit nervous). The drinks were tasty — they don’t use the cheapo liquor here, but the catch is this: they come in the tiniest little baby drink glasses that I’ve ever seen. Still, after three of them I was pretty tipsy, and tipsy for $ 9 works! Plus, the staff was pretty nice — so, I’ll probably give it one more go for a weekday Happy Hour spot… or two… or three. :)

I’m glad I no longer have to fear for my life when walking into this establishment. I mean, I hate it when I have to worry about getting hit in the back of the head by a stop sign when I’m out just trying to have a good time. But Larry’s is gone, and in its place is a surprisingly sophisticated lounge. It stays true to its name sake and is drenched in crimson and crimson-like colors. The sleek and uncomfortable chairs confirm that this is a modern and sexy place to chill. The bar staff is knowledgeable and quick to attention. Although there was plenty of space, I wish it was more open rather than having a small but sturdy iron gate delineating the bar area from the non-bar area. The crowd of patrons is an interesting blend of ex-frat guys, anti-Starbucks liberals, as well as Emo’s and Goth’s. It’s not like they were all hanging out, but they were all there together which is a bold statement for Crimson. It’s called diversity. Celebrate it.

I’d never had a reason to go to Crimson C, until a few DJ’s I liked were playing there on a Thursday nite. It’s a gorgeous space — the tables being spacious and the red everything? I liked it. Not a great place to dance, however — it gets crowded really quickly. Tip your bar staff well when at Crimson — they are awesome!

As far as clubs go, I really like this one. It’s an excellent place to dance, if you can keep up with the ADDDJ. There were two on Saturday when we were there for GRIND(um, I thought Eric Nies would be there? WTF?) and one of them did a mashup of «Doncha» by the Pussycat Dolls and«Swass» by Sir Mix A Lot, which I loved. I mean, the Dolls totally ripped that«doncha wish your girlfriend was hot like me» line off from Mix… The first DJ who played would do well to give his songs a little longer play. Dancing got a lot better later in the evening, or maybe it was because I’d had more vodka by then. The crowd was not horrible… except for ‘getting right in your face to try to make you dance with him’ guy. Seriously, all of a sudden he was two inches from my nose. Buddy, I do not wish to have a staring contest with you, and if you’re gonna do stuff like that, at least have a breath mint. By the way, have you met Mr Betsey S? For the most part, the crowd was cool. The dance floor had less grinding couples and more actual dancing than most places, so I really liked that. Awesome décor, I love the red wood with the brick. The light box bench seats are a really good idea. It’s a smallish place but the staff did a good job not getting it too packed full. Luckily we had two booths, because there is no coat check! I had a really great time dancing with friends and Unilocalers! I’ll be back next month. Once a month is my Pioneer Square Club limit.

My head, she still pounds. Was it the INCREDIBLYLOUDMUSIC? Or was it the huckleberry vodka drink special? Or was it the effort of trying to memorize so many Unilocaler’s names at one time? I have extremely low expectations for night clubs. Especially ones in Pioneer Square. Heck, lets be honest here… I do not consider myself a nightclub kind of person. I haven’t frequented them regularly since before my Burning Man days… and let me tell you, those days have been past for some time now. And even then, I mostly went to gay bars. So what was I expecting? Hmmm… overpriced liquor… wrong! Blah décor… wrong! Gross bathroom… wrong! Obnoxious crowd… not so bad, but when one is surrounded by the loving blanket of Unilocal, such things are easier to ignore. Loud music… CHECK. CHECK. CHECK. As other reviewers have mentioned… the crimson wood tables that fold up into the wall are definitely the best feature. They are awfully cool. This place serves food? I had no idea. I would have enjoyed myself much more if I could have heard more of the conversations going on at my own table, but overall I was pleasantly surprised.

One star for huckleberry vodka, one star for the Unilocalers and boobies shirts.(ok, really, the boobies are worth 5 stars, but Crimson gets no credit for that!) And a little half star hidden in there for letting us toast our huckleberry vodka to our beloved Scott K. The red wood is very nice. The booths were a good size. Something in the«vibe» here is just off though. All the individual pieces(bar, tenders, décor, music) just were not«jelling» together last night. The whole thing felt… off. But wow. So not my crowd. I am still having nightmarish flashbacks of «scary girl» and her«dancing». The DJ really ruined the night for me. Music that loud needs to have SOMETHING cohesive that gets you on the floor and keeps you there. Managed a nice bit of shaking w/the ladies for a bit, but just couldn’t get into the music. I would assume the first rule of DJ school is when people head toward the dance floor en mass for a particular song… and leave en mass when you stop that song midway to somehow go in a completely different direction musically that you are supposed to NOTICE and play music the crowd is into. But I’m not a DJ so apparently I know nothing. I’d be willing to give it another shot for an HH or a better DJ just to see if the vibe improves, but I will have to be already intoxicated and get in free to do that.

I didn’t know there was a bar in Pioneer Square where you could whisper and still be heard on a Friday night until I walked into Crimson C. Completely out of place on a block of old bars and taverns, Crimson C serves up hip and trendy to a demographic that’s hanging out 5 miles away. With a lack of bodies coming through the door, it’s BYOEC — Bring Your Own Eye Candy. The happy hour specials are decent and the appetizers are cheap well into the evening. The portions are small, so be prepared to order a lot(3 wings for $ 2). Our favorite was the fries — both cheesed and uncheesed.

Crimson C Yeah, «C» like the letter«C». Not like the«Sea» I hate these kinds of ‘clever’ names. DOYOUKNOWHOWHARDITISTOMAPQUESTORGOOGLEOR Unilocal this place if you don’t know that it is in fact a «C» not a «Sea»??? Once you actually get here you will enjoy the beautiful décor and the fantastic happy hour specials which promote social interaction between po’ non-profit whores like myself and Micro-soft type dweebies with ridiculous amounts of excess income. Crimson C is still fairly new so its a perfect venue for a party or impromptu drink fest. It is also very much like Switzerland, a place of beauty and a respite from political or economic persecution.
