Denny’s

This is where my family (of cooks) go for a dead certain perfect meal. While typically I stray away from franchises, I can’t deny that Denny’s has a certainty in consistency. I am not sure exactly how they perfected the ability to train cooks to make everything dead on, but they have. And without frozen/​pre-​made nonsense. (I scout the cooks for future employees). The server staff go out of there way to make you feel entertained and the we always leave slipping the cooks a separate tip (Denny’s doesn’t incorporate equality in tipping :() Love the old time perfection!

The good: we were seated right away even though it was busy and the waitress really hustled to get to us in a timely manner. The grand slugger was great, the pancakes cooked perfectly, soft and fluffy just like i love them. The hashbrowns had a wonderful crisp to them as well
The bad: it was packed, which meant it was a little hard at times to get our waitresses attention. The view of the dump across the street was also a little off putting, however there was no odor so it didn’t bother me after a while.
The ugly: they had a roof leak with water dripping from an open panel in the ceiling dripping into a bucket. Yuck!

It was really good overall. The waiter let us choose where to sit so we sat in the chair up at the kitchen. He took our order l. We got our drinks and waited. When we got our food, we dug in immediately considering that me and my dad we’re hungry. It was really good. After that, I wanted dessert. So I tried to get a waiter and a guy offered to go off break to get my dessert. I didn’t take the offer, since he was on break. After that, a waiter got me my dessert. My dad didn’t want any because he was stuffed. It was really good. After that we paid and it was only $ 12! For a steak and a kids sized burger. The waiters we’re nice, and the food was cheap and good. All in all, I give it a 5 star.

First time ordering something at denny’s and the service was great despite a full morning. I had a good time and our waiter came around every 15 minutes and was attentive. So yeah, it was a good experience and I was full afterwards.

I’m giving this location this rating because of the server’s service. Sat at the bar and the guy was smiles the whole time. The food… Meh. It’s Denny’s…

I went there yesterday for lunch I feel like the only good thing to say is they were fast at seating us our waiter took 15 minutes to bring us menus and ask if we wanted something to drink … the coffee was cold I ordered the all American slam they brought us our food and it took them an extra 10 minutes to just bring me my toast the service was way too slow and we went 35 minutes without even a refill the food was alright… they really need to get together it wasn’t even busy.

Slow service. Receipt withholding when ordering to go. My sour cream was missing. No plastic ware. Food was decent. Rude customer service. I won’t be returning. I advise people to go to a different location.

Tom and the other gentleman who seated and took our orders were very courteous and accommodating. The food was great and the tab was under $ 20.00 for our two meals. They kept our glasses refilled and checked on us periodically. It’s nice to see a waiter actually write down our order, and not try to memorize it.

Good points: fast seating
Not So Good: slow service. Waited 15 minutes to get my first sip of coffee. Only one wait staff working at 6:30AM. Ordered the Fit Bfast (egg whites w/spinach)…waiter replies «we don’t have any egg whites»…I’ll just stick with coffee thanks.

Service was as expected. Nothing extraordinary, but it’s Denny’s. She was nice enough and checked on us a few times throughout the meal.
The only thing I was not too pleased with was the way my sandwich was plated. It had fallen apart before reaching the table… so not the best first impression for a meal.

I love this place! The food is good and the staff is always pleasant, especially Kay! Plus you just can’t beat the $ 2-​$ 4-​$ 6-​$ 8 Menu. The Pot Roast dinner, the Chicken & Sausage Quesadilla, and the Southwest Turkey sandwich with soup are all hits!

There’s a time and a place for $ 15-​$ 20 brunch/​breakfast plates. Although, solid diner fare and unlimited iced coffee for under $ 15 total is kind of amazing. After wondering how I’ve spent around $ 30 on many brunches over the years, I feel like I have a new found love for this particular Denny’s.
It’s not like I’ve never been to a Denny’s. I actually used to go to this one pretty regularly during high school before I knew anything outside of chain restaurants. And my previous visit to a Denny’s was about three years ago up in Everett. I remember it being pretty dismal.
For the price, our brunch last Sunday was really great. The French toast was thick and buttery, the pancakes were fluffy, and the service was friendly. It’s decent diner fare for a super reasonable price. Oh, and they have free wifi.

Food & Service was good. However, we won’t be returning anytime soon because we only go to places like Denny’s for breakfast and prefer to have fried rice with our eggs.
The Denny’s located on Guam serves rice so we assumed it was offered. If this place offered rice we’d be visiting frequently (as often as twice a week).

So upon walking in, I hear the manager giving some other customer grief about an error of how his ticket was rung up. Strike 1. Then we have to wait for a table as he shouts to the other wait staff that he needs a table. Strike 2. Then we get seated and within 1 minute of sitting down, we get asked to order. We clearly aren’t ready as we just sat down. Strike 3.

Very poor service. My server seemed totally uninterested in my even being there. Before I could barely answer a question, she was already walking away. I’m not asking her to enthusiastically listen to every word I say, but a smile would go a long way.
Typical Denny’s food. Nothing to rave about. Nothing to put down.

I was not expecting much from this place, because I had been to some pretty dismal Denny’s locations before, but I was pleasantly surprised.
This location was amazingly busy and the manager warned us that they were short handed that day and that the food order would take longer than usual then asked if we still wanted to be seated. I appreciated this heads-​up because I get super annoyed when you have no idea why your food is taking so long and the server could make up anything they want when you complain about it.
Sure enough, the food did take a while but it was better than other Denny’s food I had eaten before and my breakfast buddy agreed.
Even though the place was very busy, it was also surprisingly clean. Other Denny’s locations have always seem to be old and run down but this one seems to be in very good condition.

I would give this place 0 stars if i could. Service was horrible and we had to wait like 45 mins to get our breakfast. The waitress didnt even care to refill our water. When asked after about 30mins how long it will take she carelessly replied «I donno. we are quite busy». Food was the crappiest i have had at any Denny’s. The Omlette was very bland and even the toast tasted weird as it was a very cheap bread. The pancake was very rubbery. We could have walked out and gone elsewhere instead of waiting 45 mins for our food.

Came here after Astons on a Saturday night. Man this place was pretty full for 2am. But this is where people usually go after clubbing — Denny’s or Purple Dot. We were craving pancakes and eggs and Denny’s delivered. Food was fast and delicious. I asked the waiter for the crispiest hash browns and when I wasn’t satisfied with the level of crisp, he immediately had another batch made. What a guy!
#protip: don’t be loud… inside voices.

If I’m looking for a breakfast diner, Denny’s is one of the places I go. I searched online for coupons and found one for extra bacon added to any entrée for free. :)
My hubby and I got seated quickly and our server was really funny. He seemed to really enjoy his job, which I really appreciated.
Food was «diner food» which was «to the point» and I left with a full cup of coffee to go.
Would definitely come back again~

How does this Denny’s compare with others? I like this one slightly less than usual, but to be fair I am not a big Denny’s fan. Most Denny’s get three stars from me, they are what they are, but I took another away due to the service.
When I visited this location, I had made a special trip on a cold, slightly rainy windy day so Justin L. (
) could try out the Hobbit menu. The entire time the staff was really curt about his interest in the campaign. They weren’t outwardly mean but it seemed a little more judgmental that good customer service requires, especially when this was a special ad campaign run by the restaurant.
Regardless we had a pretty good time, analyzing the menu and generally being amused by the idea of all the meals Hobbits could, for a limited time, get at Dennys.
