Diamond Wireless

Diamond Wireless Insurance company are thieves and idiots! I had called a month ago to figure out why I was still being charged monthly for a contract that was cancelled 7 months before that. They said we were not notified that my contract was cancelled. She also told me that she started a new charge on my new contract… I was so confused on how they knew I was on a different contract and was charging me when I never gave them permission to make a new account for me.
She said she would cancel both the accounts and I would be refunded for only 2 months. I was not to satisfied but there was not much I could do.
So now a month later after talking to her, I get another charge from them. And come to find out I was charge immediately after I got off the phone with her for the new account she did not cancel. 2 charges on now on my card after talking to her.
I called again and told the man what had happened and he said he would refund me and cancel the account. That was about 2 days ago and now I have another charge from them and have not received a refund.
This is mind boggling that they can not just cancel an account and refund me.
I will never get Diamond Wireless Insurance again or ever recommend to a friend.

When my husband and I went in to buy his iPhone on November 4^th, 2012, we were served by Ignacio Sanchez. Though I already had Asurion insurance for both my husband’s phone and I, Mr. Sanchez convinced us it would be more beneficial to switch to the Diamond Wireless insurance carrier. He told me that, with Asurion, customers receive a refurbished phone, whereas with Diamond Wireless, we would receive a BRAND NEW phone– overnight. We were told that the premium would be a little higher than what we had paid Asurion, but that if ANYTHING– theft, loss, or accidental damage– was to occur, our phones would be replaced with a brand new phone.
After Mr. Sanchez’ sales pitch, I persuaded my husband we should switch.
My husband then realized that Mr. Sanchez had added an Otter Box phone case to his iPhone and had included the $ 45.00 cost of the case in our receipt. My husband asked him to remove the case. A contract was printed and we all signed it.
Today, 7 months later, my phone broke. When we returned to Diamond Wireless, Mr. Sanchez told us that we needed to pay $ 170 DEDUCTIBLE in order to receive our new phone. The problem with this is that NOWHERE IN THE CONTRACT is a deductible mentioned.
Mr. Sanchez looked over our contract and said, «You’re right, it’s not in the contract. –But I’m sure I didn’t tell you there was NOT a deductible.»
As with trying to sneak in the Otter Box when the phone was purchased, Mr. Sanchez snuck the fact that our $ 10 per mo. premium is worthless unless we are willing to fork over an additional $ 170. The contract we received is meaningless.
In addition, I just found the following statement in Diamond Wireless’s website: «Replacements are often new but on occasion may be reconditioned. While reconditioned equipment looks and functions just like new, it may have minor cosmetic flaws and contain non-​original manufacturer parts and accessories.» Mr. Sanchez’ business practices are unethical.
