If I could rate negative stars, I would. After the horrible experience that I had, I have now been directly lied to and this company is fraudulent. After my one quarterly service where I had issues and called the office, first I was never called back as promised, then when I called the main number again and reexplained situation, I was told that the fee for that quarter would be waived. To my complete surprise, I received a 90-​day past due bill in the mail. I called the phone number listed and spoke to a gentleman who said he was unable to help, but would leave a not for office manager. I never received a call back. I called again a week later. At this time, I spoke to a female employee who was pleasant to speak with. I explained situation to her. She acknowledged that she recalls speaking to me previously and would speak to office manager and other neccessary employees. I received a voice mail the next day saying she checked with superiors and that the charges that I previously told would be waived stood and I needed to pay them. This is contrary to what I was previously told. Not only does Dominion’s Pest Control provide service that is not as advertised, they also lie and rip customers off.

This company is great! They do very good work from what I have seen. They are always prompt and courteous when dealing with customers. They are professional in the way the do their services and they are looking out for the homeowners best interest. I would recommend them to anyone looking for pest control services, thanks to Tony and his team for taking care of business!

Total nightmare to schedule with. They would schedule a date without telling me and then call a few hours before they show up. Also: make sure to read the fine print. The standard agreement locks you into a years worth of services.

The work itself was good. They were able to mouse-​proof our garage and no mice returned. We signed up for the quarterly plan. However, twice they sent out a tech to do the work without actually calling us to set up an appointment. Once we were not dressed which was embarrassing. The other time we were not home. I’m not sure how they thought they would gain access into our garage so we had to have them back. It seems odd that they would schedule someone without calling ahead to set a date and time.
The work itself was good but the office procedures need improvement.

I hired Dominon to spray for spiders and Kissing bugs (they informed me) as they were all over my house in North Seattle/​Shoreline Area. They sent out Tony Rivisto who showed up on time, well dressed and took time to speak with me and inform me of how the perimeter spray works as well the interior dusting.
Tony came into my home to apply a dust around all the baseboards for spiders. Upon entering he put booties over his shoes without asking. I felt very respected and comfortable with Tony in my home. He also gave me a courtesy call 45 min later (my wife and I were gone at that point) to inform me that the work was done. Excellent customer service!
Tony also found a bee’s nest (that I was unaware of) and threw in a spray to kill that too! With in a few hrs all the bees had left their next nest and then disappeared within the 48hr window they had told me. Since (about 2 weeks later) we have seen a significant drop in spider and kissing bug sightings.
Thank you Dominion and Tony Rivisto for your help! My wife and I can now sleep in peace again.
They are a solid company all around and I plan to continue using them for my pest needs.

This was my first experience with a pest control company but they were very punctual, explained my options, and did exactly what they said they would when I spoke with them on the phone.

I do not appreciate the lies you are telling. I have yet to receive a call from this company and I have called them multipe times! I am still waiting for a call back! This is ridiculous. Don’t waste your time. What this company did is dangerous, they have no remorse and nor have they tried to make it right

Speaking as a very crazy arachnophobe, my spider spray service is a big deal and dominion has far surpassed my expectations! They are extremely helpful, courteous, and effective. I had an issue with one of my sprays and they went above and beyond to not only make it right, but more than made up for the problem. Their customer service is some of the greatest I’ve experienced with any business. I highly recommend dominion!

It has been 3 months and still no sign of ants, great Job

We’ve tolerated the summer wasp irritation for several summers. I’ve had others take a look at the problem and they shrugged their shoulders since the wasps lived in the tile roof. I called Dominion and they came out right away and our summer guests have gone and have not returned. Big thanks to Tony and his crew!

I was recommended to Dominion Pest Control by a coworker. I wanted to prevent spiders from being in my house. I signed up for the annual service where Dominion would spray quarterly. The experience from the beginning has been a struggle and very disappointing. Before signing up, I was given a through description of the service that I should receive; however, each quarter the description was never a reality. For example before my first appointment, there was a cob web across the window above my front door, which I expected to be knocked down during the first visit since it was easily accessible. It was still there when I came home after the service was performed. I called Dominion to ask about a description of the service that should have been rendered. I received the same description that I received the first time. I explained that the cob webs were not knocked down. They rescheduled the service and came again to complete another exterior treatment. After the second time, the same web was not there. It was very easily noticed from within my house and the exterior. I called again and asked for a description of the service to be provided with quarterly service. Again I received a similar description. I yet again explained they did not provide services as described each time. Dominion asked for me to tell them where the spider web is. I told them that I shouldn’t have to since the service was supposed to knock all woods off the house. I did tell them where the obvious web was, ad finally after the third time of coming to my house, the web was knocked down. After each quarterly service, I had similar type experiences that required me to call them yet again. I still have spiders. For example, after 3 weeks after my last quarterly interior and exterior service, I found 3 big spiders in my house yesterday. Now that I have fulfilled obligations of paying for 4 quarters of service, I will never subscribe to Dominion services again since it was a waste of time and money.

Dominion is truly a step above when it comes to professionalism and — pardon the pun — execution!
First off, their technicians are totally professional, and they know what they’re doing. They are easy to work with, and they are totally honest. I found that they are incredibly well organized, and they’re careful and respectful of your property. Dominion is the best.

I bought a home about 9 months ago and noticed some mouse/​rat activities. So I contacted Dominion via
and purchased their 30 days service at $ 381. They came only twice. In the first visit, they inspected the attics, crawl space and home exteriors, put some traps in the attics, crawl space and provided me an estimate of $ 2000+tax to seal 18 entry points in the attic and crawl space ($ 125+tax per entry point sealing with wire nets?), $ 8000+tax to pour concrete on the crawl space floor and another $ 3000+tax to clean the insulation attics. In the second visit (I had to call), they replaced the traps. So I paid $ 381 for the $ 13 000+tax estimate and some traps to be put on — no cleanup of the traps put on the second visit, or no change in rodent activities!
[Update] I just subscribed to the annual service for $ 516/​year ($ 175+3x$ 99+tax) with Kent based «Eco Elite Pest Control» and I was impressed with their initial visit. They sealed all the entry points and the cost was included in their annual subscription plan. And their attribute was like «hey, relax, it’s not a big deal» rather than «hey, you are in big trouble».

Those damn ants were gone the very next day. And I’ve been using traps, toxic sprays, and the smashing method for over 4 years. I’d finally had it and called Dominion. I thought it was going to be extremely expensive but it was totally reasonable, and we can use him again and again for any type of infestation for a small fee.
The tech was very knowledgeable and professional and we even got a discount by using Unilocal.
I’d recommend this company to anyone.

3-​Stars (after about 3 months of service) and here’s why:
The Good:
1) Their staff is very friendly, they always respond when we request their service, and show up on time.
2) They are prepared to deal with multiple types of infestations. We called for rats, but also ended up needing help for ants.
3) Their $ 90 for 3-​months of service seems like a deal. You have a pest control company available to you when you need them for just a $ 1/​Day (caveat warning, see «The Bad»).
4) The initial inspection is about $ 300, where they survey and note your problem areas and produce a list of fixes they recommend. They also then patch a few rat access points and leave traps in the crawl space, attic, et all.
The Bad:
1) Yes, we have their service for $ 1/day…HOWEVER…when they came to our house the first time to do a survey of our problem, they turned around and gave me a proposal for almost $ 16,000 to «rat proof» my house. SIXTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS. My service ONLY covers me for a few rat traps to be set around my property every so often. In three months, we’ve caught 3 rats. I’m struggling w/​what exactly I’m paying the professionals for, that I couldn’t do myself.
2) We’ve never had the same technician more than once. So I have to re-​explain our problem every time. I’d feel much better if we could build a relationship w/​a technician who would become familiar w/​our house, and our problem areas.
3) My rat problem has not improved, in fact I’ve literally seen rats jump over the traps that have been set. But no alternate solution has been offered. If I’m paying experts, I expect service and results I could not get on my own.
All in all, if you can pay for their total package I’m sure you’ll experience great results. If $ 16k is a little out of your budget, you’re probably better off going to Home Depot and buying your own traps.

Technician was prompt and professional. I sincerely we hope we do not need to call him again. :-)

Ants, ants and more ants! I came home one afternoon to a disgusting infestation of ants in part of my kitchen. We are new to the area and so I rely heavily on Unilocal reviews. I called Dominion, the woman who answered the phone was very friendly and also explained how they could help. She also clearly explained the different service options that were available to us.
The service call was also a great experience. The exterminator explained the «products» he was using, how they work to get rid of the ants. I appreciated him spending the time to explain and also put us at ease since we have a pet in the house. Very happy with the service and feel confident in our decision to use Dominion for our ongoing pest control maintenance.

They did a great job and got rid of our mole issue.

I has Dominion Pest Control come to our house to investigate a vexing sound in the wall/​ceiling on the upper floor (could have been but didn’t seem like carpenter ants or rodents).
They sent over a fairly junior person in the company, named Joe. However he was very diligent and called the office for help when he needed (kudo’s to him for knowing to ask for help). You could tell he really cared about addressing the problem and was very customer service oriented. Joe eventually discovered the problem (a yellow jackets nest) and resolved it.
I would definitely hire Dominion Pest Control Services again. (I’d give them a 5 star rating)

Hmmmm, I recently purchased a house on Mercer Island and found out that rodents really love the island too. So onto Unilocal I went and searched for companies with good ratings.
Dominion were at the top of the Unilocal list because of their paid ad; so I bought the Unilocal voucher. I then found out from the previous owner that these guys were the incumbent trap provider.
When I called Dominion, I got the pitch that the voucher was for the initial fee only and they were saving me money by not changing me for the initial scoping. So the voucher is a bait and switch and a mechanism. I guess that you are about to find out if an unhappy customer really does tell 12 other potential customers.
Needless to say, I am looking for a refund from Unilocal and AMEX for the voucher and I have selected another vendor with higher ethics.

Who likes mice in the crawlspace under their house. OOOHHH OOHH! me? :-|

*Fantastic* customer service when you give these guys a call. Pam has been delightful during this truly obnoxious task o’mine. Very knowledgable, gets things scheduled as quickly as she can, as well as around *your* schedule. Gives you her full attention, very appreciated! Basically makes a frustrating situation not so frustrating.

I felt that I should at least up date this review, as the last guy that came (a different tech than the first two) was actually pretty good, and I think our issue is dealt with, for the time being. Everything in the previous review still stands, but the last guy who came (shorter dark haired guy, very slim, I can’t remember his name now), was sent by the company to be here only a half hour (after me calling to complain). A half hour would do nothing. He stayed for over an hour and change to make sure he went through everything, and make sure the house was secured. I feel like had I gotten this guy to begin with, it might have been a different story.
I still believe that paying $ 300+ to set a couple traps seems crazy.
Oh, and most recently, one of the original techs came to my home without notice asking for the exterior traps back (which were never given to me, after much discussion, since I was under the impression I’d be getting them!). That was again, another wonky situation — bad communication maybe?
Regardless, I do feel like the last guy knew his stuff and made a difference, so I’m happier than when I started. But still a little annoyed. :)
