I like Ebar a lot. Their lines can be long but the coffee is always good. Their premade salads and sandwiches are delicious. I always stop for a coffee when at the mall!

This was my first visit and will most likely be my last. A couple things were wrong here for me, and as a manager of a coffee shop myself I know what I saw happening is not how I would want my store ran. The girl working the counter was super sweet when I first walked up but wanted nothing to do with me once the transaction was started she was too busy talking to the guy making the drinks, the guy making my drink didn’t call my drink out, my drink is currently at 180 degrees when a latte ordered at normal temp should be between 155 and 165, and he only filled my cup up ¾ of the way. Kind of frustrating considering I spent 5 dollars plus tip on an 8 ounce latte. Maybe I’ll give them another chance next time I’m shopping at this Nordstrom.

These guys know their coffee. I recently switched my work location and left northgate. This ebar was my go to. Now I visit one at Alderwood for my home brewed espresso… they got me wrong kind of beans and did not mill it right, I am convinced that I have to drive extra miles to get a help from northgate guys next time! Thank you for being so awesome!

It’s good. They can be slow. I have a gluten-free raspberry scone there once that bordered on inedible, it really was not good. I do really like their teas :) The Chamomile is a citrus chamomile that is really refreshing.

Convenient. Nice. Anything but Starbucks unless I’m desperate or away from home. They have even come out with their own bean though I haven’t purchased any. I’m a frequent shopper at Nordstrom and the eBar is just convenient. Aside from espresso beverages they have premade salads, pastries and healthy options such as fruits, cheeses & veggie mini platters. The plus side for me about eBar is the fact I can use my MOD card. Of course they accept other forms of currency but who doesn’t like to rack up them points? Every little dollar counts.

The downtown eBar is better than this one, but I think maybe I flustered the girl at the counter by asking to look at a reusable water bottle they had on sale. She had to go get a stool to reach it and my drink was all kinds of messed up. I didn’t get the water bottle and they remade my drink so I totally don’t hold that against them! I would give them 4 stars for service. However– The coffee was just meh. It wasn’t burned or anything, but it didn’t have the satisfying espresso flavor that I love. It was dull and slightly acidic. I got a soy latte and it tasted like Ethiopian drip coffee with lots of soy milk.

To be honest, I don’t know what this eBar has to do with Nordstrom. I’m just not seeing how drinks have to do with clothing. The two have never gone well together in my opinion, but Nordstrom apparently owns this place, and I’m doing a review for the smoothie and not for any pants I got here. I needed a drink, Starbucks wasn’t going to cut it, and so I found this place on the Northgate Mall map directory. I might as well have gone to Starbucks. I mean it’s just about as generic. Overpriced drinks with overzealous baristas who are trying their hardest to beg for tips without actually doing so. Sound familiar? Sounds like exactly the reason I try to avoid Starbucks. But this isn’t Starbucks; the sizes of their cups are labeled differently. Actually, I got a strawberry banana smoothie, and that didn’t even include the option of having different sizes at all. I do have to applaud the staff for promptly making my drink; it only took them about a minute from start to finish. It’s really nothing special, and considering the ridiculous price of these smoothies($ 5.25), the store is better off avoided. However, I don’t want to give a negative review as they didn’t exactly do anything wrong. It’s just that the drink isn’t that great and is way too expensive. Maybe the nearby food court would have better options than this.

My family enjoys coffee here much more than I do. Typically, the staff is nice and the baristas are competent. Yesterday, my partner ordered«fresh brewed coffee.» I giggled because I knew he was serious. I thought I would agitate him and pointed to the pot from which his«fresh brewed coffee» was being pumped. As expected, he got upset and pointed to their menu which specifically said«fresh brewed coffee.» They acknowledged it and said that meant it was brewed fresh every 45 minutes, then transferred to the pot that we saw. At this point, I’m literally trying to stop myself from laughing. They got into a conversation about a «pour over» which is not really what they do there but I found it amusing to see the clerk describe it. They finally came to some sort of agreement that I didn’t witness because I got bored and walked away. In general, some of the upscale drinks are pretty good but honestly, I tend to get soy lattes and while they’re good, it’s nothing to write home about. Until yesterday, we’ve always received exceptional service.

Convenient location if you want coffee or a snack. There are a small number of tables for patrons. They sell coffee beans with the Nordstrom name. I ended up getting a Rwandan bean coffee. It was the brew of the day, and described as «citrusy». Too acidic, too sour. Didn’t like it. I haven’t been having too much luck with African coffee beans as of late. :(Chances are, their other coffees would not be as sour, so take my review with a grain of salt. Snacks, baked goods, and other beverages for the mall patrons.

It’s probably the best espresso at the mall.(Where else are you going to go, Starbucks? Starbucks-inside-Barnes-and-Noble? Panera?) HOWEVER, you must be vigilant, as *two times in a row* someone else has walked off with my drink. Not a thief, just some other customer who’s too retarded to know that when they call out«JOEL» that that means the drink they’re putting out is for *JOEL*. And then that other customer invariably comes back and complains, «hey, I ordered a latte, but this drink that I took that has someone else’s name on it and says ‘americano’ on the side is an americano! I think someone screwed up!» And then you have to wait an extra five minutes for them to remake your drink and hope that no one walks off with that one.

Pretty decent coffee, quick service, and good selection of food items!
