Devin, Angel, and their crew are outstanding. They are professional, knowledgeable, and the crew is extremely hardworking. We hired them to remove a hill of earth and 2 trees so we could expand our driveway to allow better access to the garage. Our original start date was halted the night before because our neighbor changed their mind at the last minute about an aspect of the project they had previously approved of. Devin was very gracious about this, when he easily could have just dropped us entirely. Instead he gave me a new start date just a couple of weeks later, giving us time to address the issue with the neighbor. We were so grateful that they stuck with us. The job is done now and the outcome is great, we are very pleased with EcoTech and recommend them wholly.

After some years with a scrubby and sloping back yard, we contracted with Eco Tech to level the grade, and put in a patio using dimensional bluestone. Along the way we added fixing an existing path.
Devin turned around a proposal quickly, completely understood what we were looking for and gave three options, ranging in price related to different materials. We were never upsold, and felt very satisfied with the planning process.
The crew came in and did the entire project in three days. They created three grades — a small high grade, a large medium grade, and then dropping to a low grade path, to deal with the significant slope. The crew was fast, professional, cleaned up everything every day and could not have been better to work with. On the last day they nicely took away some yard waste we generated ourselves.
The end results are extremely satisfying. We have a large dining area outside, and all the plant material looks 100x better set off by clean stone borders rather than sloppy borders of scrappy grass. It’s really better than we expected, and we would absolutely recommend EcoTech.
(If you reference the photos that accompany this, EcoTech did the yard leveling and all the stone work — the deck was already there as were the plant material and the unfortunate fence at the back.)

We recently bought a home that had some serious landscaping issues. We wanted a fence, and in order to put in a fence, a fairly large retaining wall was necessary. I called EcoTech because of the great Unilocal reviews, and I’m glad I did! Devin was prompt, professional, and his bid was competitive. His crew was great, friendly, they show up early and work late. The job was done quickly and they talked me through everything. We got the custom fence we wanted and two retaining walls. The look of our home from the street is a complete transformation. We now have curb appeal! I would definitely hire this company again. Thanks EcoTech!

The grass in my backyard always left something to be desired. At the beginning of the summer, I had Devin come out and give me a bid on a re-​landscaping, tearing out all of the old, gross grass and bringing in some fresh sod. Devin was great. He gave me some good recommendations on sod types for my slightly shady lawn, and tossed me back a quote within a few days.
The entire job was done in less than a day, and the results are fantastic. the sod has taken root beautifully, and all the seams are now filled in leaving a lush and beautiful lawn to enjoy.
I’ll definitely be using EcoTech for any landscaping that I need in the future.

Can’t review the work of Ecotech as they have never gotten back to me. My review is on their customer service. After two weeks of trying to reach them via phone and email.nothing. Perhaps I’m being ignored or «brushed off» the same way a previous reviewer was because my project is too small for their caliber. However it’s still nice to be acknowledged and or referred somewhere else if that is the case. Bummer, I was really hoping to work with this company.

Devin and his team are wonderful to work with! We moved into a new house this winter with a «blank slate» yard and sought quotes from several potential landscaping firms. Not only did Devin out-​bid the others by a large margin, but it was immediately apparent that he was going to be easy to work with– he didn’t try to force a particular vision on our yard like some of the others, but instead listened to what we wanted and made helpful suggestions along the way to improve our vision. The decision to work with Devin was obvious.
The results are great: Devin’s team worked quickly and built out a large concrete patio, tiered retaining wall, many sections of fencing and gates, a greenhouse pad, and a large stone propane fire pit. (More on this in a minute.) His team also grubbed our entire yard (it was extremely over-​grown), put down several thousand feet of fresh mulch, and made great recommendations for keeping it that way. In the back, they put in ~1000 square feet of sod and shade seed, and in the shady areas established a «living patio» of irish moss and a number of extremely tasteful, shade-​friendly plants and shrubs.
It was particularly impressive to us that Devin and his team were able to handle such a wide variety of tasks without subcontracting, especially given that we threw a couple of challenges at them. Devin himself was onsite with tools and lumber building our front deck gate: a completely custom job, as the deck has a wide opening and required a double gate with rolling wheels.
Most impressive, perhaps, was the propane fire pit. Devin readily admitted that this was a project he had never tackled before, and took it upon himself to do the research, make contacts with suppliers, and assemble the whole thing from the ground up. This included a hatch/​compartment buried in the yard to hide the propane tank, 10 – 15 feet of gas piping, and of course the fire pit itself, including the assembly of the burners and burn pan, protective flashing, and installation of the fire rock. There were a few bumps along the way getting it to work, but Devin was relentless in getting it right. He personally returned to our home several times to test, tweak, and make sure the fire pit would work and was very focused on making sure we had a positive outcome without compromise.
All the while, Devin and his team were friendly, personable, and very communicative.
I’d recommend EcoTech to anyone, but especially someone who wants someone who is going to be thorough and work relentlessly to get things exactly the way you want them. You’ll have a great experience.

We hired EcoTech to install landscape lighting, an irrigation system, and to put in some garden walkways for us, as well as to do some general landscape work. Devin was out to see us several times to talk over the work we wanted done and he was prompt to get estimates to us. His workers were great too, especially his foreman, Angel.
As both irrigation and lighting will no doubt require regular maintenance and repair over the years, we look forward to working with EcoTech for many years to come.

I turned on my front yard irrigation and, yeek! Saw a leak. I also wanted an estimate for back yard irrigation. Devin was at my house the same day, fixed my leak no charge, and assessed my yard for a back yard system. Because I had Volkswagen sized rocks placed after the front irrigation was installed, he said the expense would be very high for a back yard system, and recommended a Home Depot manual system for my minimal needs. I bought the system and screwed it in. My old front yard system developed another leak a week later, and Devin came over again same day, repaired the second leak, fixed my self-​installed back yard timer system, and I insisted on paying him. He saved me thousands by suggesting a simple and cheap solution for my situation. He saved me time with his availability. Lucky me ! I recommend Devin and his company!!!

If we were just reviewing the retaining wall and the fence that Eco-​Tech built around our yard, we would give it 5 stars. They are beautiful and well-​made. However, in constructing the fence, Eco-​Tech failed to mention that the new design would move the boundaries of the fence line into the neighbor’s yard, which of course is not okay. Only a call from our neighbors alerted us to this, which meant I had to call in from work to fix the issue. They did very politely agree to re-​do the boundary line after I requested it so that the fence wouldn’t impinge on the neighbor’s property. Also, they drove a truck with heavy rock across our lawn several times without warning, leaving channels indented in the grass. Finally, they left thousands of tiny bits of gravel scattered throughout the lawn which would dull our mower and will take hours of work to remove. So in short, beautiful end result, but with some hassle.
UPDATE: When Devin read my review, he immediately contacted me, offered to REPLACE my mower blades, and sent two guys out to our property to physically pick up the stones. Guys, that is incredibly customer-​oriented. This business will go far. I’m giving them a full 5 stars because of that response!

I own a townhome with a smaller yard and was ready to make it more useable. Devin responded to my call quickly and came over the next day to look at the yard. While he was here, he gave me the impression that he’s not interested in doing smaller jobs/​smaller yards, and that it was a waste of his time. He promised to get back to me with a quote. Six weeks later, the quote never came.

EcoTech Landscape provided a start-​to-​finish service that transformed our muddy mess of a yard into a contemporary outdoor extension of our home. We now have a beautifully realized space with carefully planned landscaping, irrigation, cement work, and lighting.
We had several false starts with other landscape companies. People didn’t bother to show. People showed up unprepared. People showed up and then disappeared for weeks on end and never followed up. None ever came close to clicking and understanding what we wanted out of our space.
When Devin arrived, he did so exactly on time, prepared, and then listened and carefully digested our thoughts and concepts for the yard space. Days later, exactly when he stated, he delivered designs and a restatement of our concept that was creative, thorough, and that took our concepts and developed them into a workable and practical plan.
The job was essentially this — our yard is very small, and was dominated by large trees that kept it in persistent shade and fallen leaves, and did nothing but track mud and dirt into the house. We wanted a modern space that brought in more light, had seating, a barbecue area, and a structured concrete patio and wall/​planter design that complimented our rather modern style home, all while retaining privacy. This meant a complete tear-​down of the yard, re-​grading, elaborate concrete work, irrigating, and landscaping that would quickly grow to give us back privacy. EcoTech’s design delivered this perfectly.
During the build, the EcoTech crew was friendly, considerate, and hard working. It was easy to work with them and they were always responsive to our concerns and issues. They came through like a whirlwind to handle the trees and left no mess behind. The concrete (which was a 3 step process) came together in well planned stages. The irrigation, lighting, and final plant placement came together just like in the concept. All the while, we got continual email updates from Devin on the status of the build and what to expect next.
In the end we had a literal transformation from a mud pit to a space where we could cook a meal and then sit down to enjoy it with a glass of wine, lit by peaceful lighting behind walls of striking black bamboo trees of privacy.

We just finished up our landscaping project recently, but our search for a landscaper started a year ago. We met all kinds of contractors, and were so disheartened that we almost gave up. From astronomical bids to complete flakes, we encountered just about every type you could image. Then I met Devin. I found him to be very professional, kind and communicative. He is a trustworthy guy and took care of us from start to finish.
We had a rough plan in place to completely redo the neglected landscaping at our home: install new sod, rocks and grasses in the backyard and to redo a small front yard that included removal and transplants of trees. I found Devin to be very collaborative and open to my input and I trusted his guidance as well. He drafted up a plan and was open to a few rounds of revisions via email until my wife and I were happy.
When the project started, we were so impressed with how quickly the job got underway. The crew knew exactly what they were doing and have been working with Devin closely for awhile. They used very high quality materials for the new lawn, and it shows. I literally have never seen sod grow to be so thick, green and lush after it’s initial installation. My first mowing almost bogged my mower down! The complete job, front and back, was done in 2.5 days, which blew us away.
Devin’s customer service did not end after the job was complete. Since the project finished, he has provided consultations to me and has even been back more than once to provide touch-​ups here and there. He is genuinely interested in the complete satisfaction of his customers.
My wife and I were looking for someone we could trust at a fair price. Devin and his crew provided us a great value for our budget, meeting all of our project goals. We liked his service so much we recommended EcoTech to our best friends.

I contacted Eco Tech about a sprinkler repair through their website. They got back quickly… to refer me to another company. I feel so rejected. Was it me?

I had EcoTech install a sprinkler system last year, and was very pleased with the results. They showed up on time, didn’t ask for more money, and cleaned up after themselves. Now that the system has been in for a year, I keep telling myself «why did I wait so long». We may not have the hottest summers in Seattle, but not having to water the flower pots and lawn by hand, frees me up to do other things, like go on vacation. I highly recommend EcoTech.

My husband and I had neglected our front yard for years and we had overgrown bushes, weeds, crab grass and a very unattractive walkway. We finally decided to do something about it and received quotes from several different landscape companies.
