Normally when we come into this store we can’t find a single person willing to help. However we got super lucky last weekend when Ciara came over to help us pick out skis during their (amazing) spring break sale. She ended up helping me pick skis and bindings and helped my sister, my friend, and my boyfriend pick boots. She was super knowledgable and patient with us, staying with us until 20 minutes after they closed. My boyfriend has really unique feet and she ended up finding him the perfect pair of boots. My sisters boots hurt in one spot and she knew exactly what was wrong and clamped them for her. Can’t say enough good things about her.
Also they price match which was awesome for stuff that is hundreds of dollars.

My daughter, 8, is interested in skateboarding. After we took a lesson downstairs at the ATS skate park, we came back to evo where she picked out the parts and the skate guy (sorry I forgot your name, awesome skate guy!) helped her assemble it, even letting her operate the machine to insert the bearings into the wheels.
For a shy kid drawn to but nervous about a new sport, this was the best experience possible.
The selection of equipment was great and everyone was very kind and encouraging.

Do not buy from this company. I ordered a 2016 Patagonia Powslayer jacket and was sent a re-​labeled 2012 Primo (confirmed by Patogonia customer service). Yes, the label was modified to deceive consumer into thinking it’s a real powslayer jacket.
Customer service gets an F for customer care. All they can offer as a resolution to take the product back and refund me $ 489.

I highly recommend Evo. I decided to take up skiing again this season. It has been at least 10 years since I’ve skied and at least 20 years since I’ve had my own gear. After renting a set up from a shop local to me for the season I quickly learned that rental boots would not work for my high arch princess feet. With a trip to Whistler looming within the week, my family and I ventured into Seattle to check out Evo. I have to say that I was skeptical that I’d be able to find boots that didn’t kill my feet and ankles. This was until Sierra in the Ski department introduced herself. This girl is amazing! She was so patient and presented me with a few options that worked for my feet. After taking up a great deal of her time we finally came up with a Lange boot that felt great, but a touch out of my price range. Sierra found a pair on their outlet site at a lower price and arranged to have the boots delivered to the store Tuesday morning. We were scheduled to leave for Whistler on Tuesday morning… Not to worry! Evo brought the boots in and Sierra expertly fit them with custom heat molding and had us on our way on time. Thank you Sierra!!! Whistler was awesome and we enjoyed the pizza joint you recommended!

I purchased a snowboard and a watch (No Idea they sold watches) for my husband there. They are truly helpful and down to earth. I would buy stuff there ALL the time if I had more Money ;)

This is my first time here, I know I’ll be back. Everybody was super nice and I found a great deal on a sweater. I love it when the price tag says one thing and you get up to the register and its 20% less!

I had bought my boots a few years ago from evo’s outlet site and every time I wore them, they were painful. I decided it was time for a newer boot or a boot fitting, so headed into evo one Sunday afternoon. They have a great process where you sign in and are quickly helped. I maybe waited 10 min. My sales specialist fitted my boot and confirmed the boot was the right size, so recommended a pair of insoles to provide better support and also heating up my liners to better mold to my feet. She worked hard to heat everything up and ensure it was all comfortable, all the while politely educating me on the correct way to take care of my boots to prolong the life. I very much appreciated that she had my comfort and fit in mind, instead of just trying to sell the most product. She went above and beyond and I look forward to skiing in more comfort now!

This is my first and probably the only Unilocal review I will ever leave but I felt obligated to write after the incredible service I received here. I purchased a pair of skis and bindings from the evo outlet store and they arrived the next day for pickup. I really wanted to ski them immediately but they had a major backup of skis to be mounted. To make matters worse I had forgot my ski boots at home which were necessary to mount the bindings correctly. Despite all of this Andy who did the mounting went above and beyond any reasonable expectations and managed to get my skis mounted in less than a day. The equipment has been great and like I said before the service could not have been better. They also have extremely reasonable prices and will beat any competitor. I will never go anywhere else for my ski gear.

They’ve helped me customize ski boots. It took a season of revisions but they’re finally working out. I’m so appreciative. There isn’t a fee for this service, you just have to buy boots at Evo.
I also purchased most my jackets and gloves, etc. as well. Everything is in store to try out but last years version may be on their site, if you’re looking for a deal.

I have been the recipient of several gifts from Evo, all of which have been of excellent quality and performed better than expected. The store is located in a beautiful space, but parking can be challenging like all of Seattle (there are a few spots behind the store). All of my interactions at the store have been pleasant with employees readily available to answer any questions I have.

Evo has knowledgeable staff who are happy to help. They take the time to really fit you into boots and have a handy check-​in & call your name process that makes the whole process run smoothly. If you need to make a return, that’s easy peasy as well.
So, why 3 stars, you ask?
Well, here’s the rub. The sales guy/​boot fitter was so focused on getting me into the 100% highest performance package for my dollar, I just don’t think he listened well to who I was or made good suggestions for what I should do.
After an hour + of clomping around in boots so painful I thought I might pass out (and from which I still had sore toes several days later) the store was shutting down and I felt like I was under the gun to make a decision. I was under a bit of a time crunch as we were heading out Friday and I really wanted to bring my new gear– since I had to order from their warehouse and deliveries only come every several days and then it would take them a day or two to get my binding set, it was «now or never». So, I placed an order and decided to think about it. The reality was, I was worried the skis he suggested were too advanced for me and I couldn’t imagine myself getting through 1 entire day of skiing in those incredibly painful boots, let alone 5 entire days, after which he promised less pain (but said I’d like just have to deal with numb feet and at least some pain– welcome to skiing).
I woke up the next morning and just didn’t feel good about the $ 1k I’d just spent. So, I went to another shop and worked with another fitter, who listened to the kind of skier I am and put me in more comfy, less hardcore performance based, boots & skiis and so far, I’m really happy.

Zerene, Michelle, dani, Brian. Amazing. Seems like they only hire cool people that know what they are talking about! I got my snowboard boots, goggles, pants, gloves all from here this season. Usually I wear cheap crap when I go snowboarding but decided to invest in warmth so I don’t freeze my legs off. If you go online you can buy stuff from last year that’s a little cheaper. I saved a few bucks on my goggles that way but have to wait till Tuesday to pick it up. But I don’t mind going on here multiple times a week! Haha! Not bad. I love evo!

Just left Evo… and will not be returning back. Website says they are open until 4 (on NYE) and the managerial staff decided to start turning people away at 3. I was waiting to pay for a new backcountry setup and they would not even allow my partner in to wait with me until I paid. He even turned away an elderly gentleman with two pairs of skis to be dropped off for a simple tune and his attitude was horrible to everyone he encountered.
Hence, my business will go to another ski shop In the city that really sees the value in customer service. This is what happens when 20 something kids are allowed to run a business. I would like to say this was my first negative experience st Evo, but it was not. My $ 1500 sale may not make a difference to them, but I will happily spend my money elsewhere

I bought some items online on Christmas Eve. I made a mistake on buying the wrong goggles. I also accidentally order some items for shipping to the house instead of will call pick up at the store. I called Evo on Saturday. The customer service is awesome they took time to fix my mistakes and also told me what day I could pick up all my snowboarding gear within the same call. I really like how they have basically an online store with all items they carry.

I came here from Bellingham based on Unilocal reviews, and I am pretty darn happy I did. Baker, Whistler, Stevens… all have been getting ridiculous snow, so I knew evo would be busy. Walked around for a few minutes before I found a list on which to put my name, but luckily I was next up. Despite the fact they were so busy that they needed a list, Ben T could not have been more helpful. I needed everything — boots, skis, bindings, poles… even socks — and Ben walked me through it all. He took the time to explain the boots to me inside and out (literally) and even made me inserts for them. He looked at the evo outlet online and ordered me last season’s versions of the boots and skis I wanted to save me some serious cash — and he did this without my even asking! I am just thrilled with my experience and can’t wait to go back to pick up my stuff and hit the slopes.

Nicely laid out with a good selection of jackets and other outdoor clothing… think «Trader Joe’s» not «Safeway». They have lots of different types of outdoor gear to meet your needs, but because focus on providing a diversity of options in a relatively small space (compared to REI type mega stores anyway), they only have 3 – 4 mid-​layer jackets, not a dozen. So, if you are a hard size to fit, or looking for something really particular, you may not find it in the store; but my impression is that most people will be able to find what they are looking for no matter what they’re going in for. And I hear they have a great online shop, too. My husband found a great jacket that looks great on him, and we got a bit of a black Friday discount. Win win win!
Staff was friendly, helpful, and not obtrusive. Also a bonus — they also let me bring in my inquisitive (read: ALL OVER THE PLACE) terrier, and for some reason even gave him treats. And unlike many places in Fremont, they have a nice restroom available for customer use.

By far, the nicest staff and best customer service I’ve ever received from a retail store.
My boyfriend and i came here during their black Friday sale. We weren’t planning on buying anything, only to check out the store and see what they had since this was the closest snowboard shop to us.
The store wasn’t busy when we got there. Two of their guys came up to us and offered their help, but as i said, we weren’t buying anything, just looking around.
Martin, the third guy to approached us is the reason for my review. My boyfriend asked him a few questions and it started from there. We got stuck talking to him for more than an hour going over every single detail about snowboarding. He was extremely helpful and took the time to educate us while answering all our questions, considering we’re still beginners. Mind you, there were other customers standing around waiting for someone to help them, but Martin never left our side. We were in the middle of trying on snowboarding boots when a coworker told him to go on lunch, but he still pushed it back to help us. Eventually we let him take his break and wandered the store waiting for his return. My boyfriend ended up purchasing a pair of snowboarding boots and socks.
I can’t even begin to explain how great he was. The friendliest, down to earth guy you could ever encounter. Not to mention a great salesman since we didn’t leave empty handed.
I’d recommend Martin to anyone and everyone!

This is a review for the repair shop not the store mainly. I came to the repair shop to fix and tune up my snowboard after moving across the country. The movers damaged the board so I took a friends recommendation to go to Evo. I was not disappointed. The prices are higher than I’m used to but they did a bang up job.
They even let me know how to best store and take care of the snowboard going forward.
They didn’t do it quickly but would you want them to? You want them to do a quality job and that’s exactly what they did.
Highly recommended vs REI who charges way more for the same services.

it is kind of umm like ya know umm über hip. Soo über I barely got waited on and then she didn’t understand me. I appreciate the layout, sort of, and some of the clothes but the selection for women is sparce.
The shoes I came for 6 months ago they had only one pair a size too small at end of fall so ive waited all winter fo rne Birkenstocks! One pair! YYYYYAAAAAAAA

It’s really a phenomenal place to buy gear. In 2008 I bought my ski boots, bindings, skis, and poles from Evo. Now I think it’s time to get new boots. They definitely have some good sales going on. Jeron helped me and he was so patient and listened to my needs. I really like that they can mold the boots for me as I have weird feet… yes, I’m aware that ski boots will never be comfortable. He is very knowledgeable and said to return any time when I have made my decision or if I need to try them on again (as I’m the indecisive one).
I wish I knew the name of the ski goggles guy. He was really helpful also.
I like that the staff here never push you into buying and certainly don’t force the most expensive stuff on you. Only great experiences here.

I’ve only encountered evo online and I have to say, I’ve been REALLY impressed with the quality of customer service. I was trying to buy ski boots which is definitely difficult to do without trying it on, but their online chat system is super efficient and I was able to pick out the PERFECT pair of ski boots.
I was ordering things around the holiday and they were always very easy going about making multiple price adjustments. I recently ordered a new pair of goggles here as well. Evo will continue to be my go-​to online winter gear.

Hell yes. If you like winter sports this is the place for you. I don’t know how this wasn’t more obvious to me before, but Evo is one of the largest ski/​snowboard retailers in the country. So aside from their incredible Seattle based store, they have a massive collection of gear online. It’s especially worth your time to check their clearance tabs and look for items that were new from the previous few seasons. The discounts run deep and since hopefully you’re in Seattle, it’s easy to pick up your items that you order online right from their storefront.
My boyfriend treated me to skis, boots, poles and bindings for Christmas and he was smart enough to shop for things that came out last season. My boots were extremely cheap but they’re gorgeous, they’re brand new, and I got to go to Evo with him to check them out and try them on. In fact, their website is so handy that he was able to buy me all of my ski equipment in secret because they have really useful sizing info. Who knew he could pick out ski boots that would fit me perfectly?
When we came in to pick everything up and try things on the customer service folks were awesome. We had to visit two different departments for these various transactions and everyone we encountered was really helpful and reassuring.
I’ve used the skis/​boots/​poles a few times now and they’re the best set I’ve ever owned. My boyfriend is wanting new boots for skiing next year and I wouldn’t consider going any place else!
