It’s Divy, the waitress is a bit gruff but it’s all part of the ambiance. Prices are reasonable and the fish and chips are always good(and usually not a long wait). Seating can be a bit tight at times. Great place to drop by and have a beer and some good fish and chips!

I really wanted to like this place! It’s a no frills, clean and unpretentious dive bar with plenty of parking in Fremont. So far so good. My friend and I ordered drinks and sat at the bar, then just sat there chatting and catching up. We’ve both worked in the service industry, and are thus super conscious of being good customers. At the end of the night, all had gone well, we asked for the check. The bartender had added extra drinks to our tab, and without asking had combined our tabs. We asked for a correction, and here is where things went awry. The receipt was hand-written, and the handwriting difficult to read. The bartender told us to just remove the extra drinks and pay up. No problem, however, when I re-added the total by hand, the math didn’t add up, I was being over-charged by about $ 10, and so was my friend. I thought perhaps I had drank too much to math properly, and asked the bartender if he could just bring us a corrected bill. He replied with, «Don’t you have a calculator on your phone?» I tried to show him that even with the correct number of beers, I was still being overcharged by $ 10. He blamed it on a 10% sales tax. I let him know that 10% of $ 21.00 is not $ 10 but he told us, «I’m sick of talking about this, I’ve already charged your card.» Super rude, and most likely illegal. I’m bummed at how rude he was, and bummed because otherwise this would have been a cool bar.

I love this place! Best fish and chips around, great beer selection, my kind of atmosphere. I’ve been going to this place for over four years now and I’ll continue going. I’ve moved out of the neighborhood but I still drive up from South Seattle to come eat. There’s no reason to give this place anything less than 5 stars, unless you are some kind of prima donna. I took my friend from out of town and he was studying the menu for way too long. One of the bartenders walked by and said, «There’s only one question to ask yourself — two pieces or three?» I would say I have to agree.

Definitely coming back for the fish and chips here, which are the best I’ve had in Seattle!

Delicious fish and chips! I wanted to try some of the best in town and saw the rave reviews here on Unilocal. It was wonderful, but there was one small problem — my son. They don’t allow anyone under 21 to enter due to the laws. So, I got it to go and we had a nice outdoor lunch by the water. I would definitely go back and get these again.

Some may argue it’s in need of a refurbish and a lick of paint… but I like its rustic look and atmosphere. Friendly bar staff. Food is nice, I had the fried shrimp and chips and my Bf had fish n chips… it was really nice… but not a patch on our homeland(Scotland) fish n chips! Good try tho. nice present experience.

5 stars is simply because these were the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Perfectly seasoned and fried fish and fries. I’m from L.A. but I’ll definitely come back to Seattle and this dive bar. Service was decent. I say decent because the bartender didn’t seem to be the friendliest person ever. Maybe that was because she was alone and had to serve and tend bar. Either way, I recommend this spot to anybody

Best fish and chips I have had in Seattle yet! Grungy hole-in-the-wall restaurant with solid eats!

I feel like this is a relatively clean bar to be classified as «dive bar» however at the same time«dive bar» is a very apt categorization. The first couple times I stopped in here were both on a whim while I was standing at the corner waiting for the light to change to cross the street while on the way to a different bar. Both times I was happily surprised and since then have been back a couple additional times with this as the actual destination! An easy no frills review for an easy no frills bar: The beer variety is good, the cocktails are well made and well poured, the food is excellent, the service is friendly and prompt, and the prices are crazy reasonable! From the kitchen, I would definitely recommend the Western burger(bbq sauce, bacon, add blue cheese) and the onion rings. Also, I haven’t had a chance to use it yet, but they do have a patio for those awesome sunny Seattle days. Oh, and just discovered that there is a pool table in a semi-hidden room way in the back of the bar.

The fish and chips are amazing! That seems to be the general sentiment in the reviews. They’re well worth the hype, though. Perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked, with plenty of french fries and a side of cole slaw. Yum! They also have a decent mix of beer and cocktails, with very reasonably prices. You order at the front, and can choose to either sit inside(not very much seating, though) or outside on the patio. We chose the latter, which was lovely, though I can imagine that it probably wouldn’t be that way during Seattle’s typical rainy days. My only gripe is that they seemed to mix up a lot of our orders. A friend and I both ordered the three piece of fish and chips, yet when we got our orders, we only had two. However, they were very nice about it and brought us our missing fish later. They were also a bit slow, but hey, quality takes time. Everyone is really nice here, too! The bartender was very patient with my large group of 8, and the waitress who brought us our food was friendly as can be. I definitely had a great time here, and I’d love to come again!

Last time we were here, I got the chicken cobb, which wasn’t bad, but I wasn’t afan of the chicken. It was kind of the quality you’d expect from a rural diner. This time I got the salmon caesar, which was fine after I picked out all the crutons. I wish they’d had some mention of crutons in the menu, since they comprised almost half the salad(no joke). I’ll take the blame for that, since most caesars have crutons, and I should know by now. However… The woman here refused to acknowledge my friend when she was waiting to order at the bar, instead asking men around her(who came in after she did) what they wanted. Then, when she was checking on tables on the deck, she checked with every one except ours — very odd, considering I was picking the crutons out of my salad the entire time she was on the deck. Though my friend enjoyed her Seafood Combo both times we ate here(though a bit less the second time — the oysters were not hot), I highly doubt we’ll return.

Service can be kind of slow and… brusque, but the food is good, the beer is good, and it’s a good neighborhood pub to come with friends, bring parents, or bring a book to read. The Cajun shrimp are amazing, the tartar is great, and everyone who’s ever gotten fish and chips when I’m there with them say they’re phenomenal. They have a nice deck and indoor seating. Nothing hugely special about Pacific Inn but it’s predictable and I like that in a place I go often.

We came here for a couple beers and some fried seafood late at night. So very not disappointed. Dirt cheap too! This isn’t «english» style fish and chips, but man it was so so so good. I truly didn’t expect this, and for such a reasonable price. Also they had Freemont IPA on tap.

I enjoyed it here. Excellent Rueben, excellent Fish and Chips(batter was good, you can tell they’re handmamde, not«fried something from a freezer box».). The bathrooms are clean enough and the staff was nice. Hamms Tallboys and an outdoor patio to boot. Next time I’m in Fremont, this is my place.

I was really disappointed with this place. I was visiting from out of town and wanted to get fish and chips.(I know, TOURISTALERT.) This place was on a lot of lists for the best fish n chips in the city and it was just a couple blocks from where I was staying, so I decided to take my friends there. Never. Again. The fish n chips are supposed to be special because of the seasoning, but they didn’t taste special at all. Or even just good. Soooooo disappointed.

I haven’t been to this place in a coon’s age, at least 20 years… Used to come here for lunch when I worked on Eastlake in the 80’s; Long way from Shoreline. Still looks the same inside. Good selection of beers. Very busy on a Thursday evening. We came for the fish & chips and weren’t disappointed: well-seasoned fish(3 pieces) with a heap of homemade fries, a little coleslaw and LOTSA tartar sauce. Great value, $ 38 for two people: two, 3-piece F&C, two pints + a generous tip. One star off for breading that was a tad on the thick side. Other than that, FOURSTARSUP!!! :-)

Props for the fish and chips. A friend of ours ordered it and scarfed it down. The patio has plenty of seating for large groups, but you’re shit out of luck if it starts raining and if it’s packed inside you’re stuck standing around in other people’s way. The female bartender was borderline rude(not to us but to other customers). I thought maybe it was an isolated incident, but from reading other negative reviews, this seems to be a recurring issue.

Seriously? Two check ins for me to become a regular here? But upon closer inspection of the people who frequent PIP, obsessively checking in on Unilocal while slumped over their twelfth can of Pabst isn’t the scene here.(And try to spell«twelfth» after all those beers.) Pacific Inn Pub is a dive bar that has somehow become somewhat trendy over the years. Patrons range from older folk who like their alcohol to smell as strong as my hiking socks after a week hiking on the Pacific Crest Trail to college folks to everyone inbetween. The prices are reasonable, the pours are generous and the servers efficient. Depending upon which days you go, the bar can be quiet or obnoxiously sophomoric. All of the food is pretty damn good pub grub, but the fish ‘n chips are well-known. This isn’t your typical beer-battered fish, but something harder-crust with a little more seasoning, with the fish inside still breath-takingly tender, you’ll want to cry into your tenth beer. The patio outside is wonderful great for sunny days, but you’re expected to put away your own dishes and cutlery when things get busy. Only downside are the restrooms — only TWO… and after all that booze-guzzling and fish n’ chip throw-downing, two just doesn’t seem enough, if you know what I mean.
