Fancy Nails

I am a frequent customer here, my first few times there were very good. Then, it was horrible, every time I gave them the benefit of the doubt and came back but not anymore. Yesterday, a new technician did my nails, she was in a hurry because the place was busy. Her polish application was so bad that I did have to ask her to repeat few fingers and I was still not satisfied, she did cut my fingers, and she did not bother applying lotion when she finished!
I won’t come back

I like the place. Been coming here for years. Many of the technicians have been here for as long as I can remember. Pedicures are good. Not the best foot massage, but good enough. One time I got a shellac/​gel French mani and some came off after a Christmas Day of dishwashing. I went back in the next day and they fixed and would not take any money for it. I brought my mother here once and they were so sweet to her she keeps asking when I’ll bring her back. I’ve done manicures, acrylics once and gels. It’s my go to and I don’t get the poorer reviews. When I was 9 months pregnant Rose did my pedi. I fell asleep in the chair and she let me sleep for an hour! That was 13 years ago. So I’ll try other places but this is my go to.

I usually do nails by myself, and just come in for polish change once in a while. The last 2 time, the same lady did it for me. Service was horrible. When she was filing my nails i felt like she wanted to rip my nails apart. It came to the point that i needed to file my nails by myself, because they weren’t even after she did it and trying to fix it several times. Once she saw another gal walked in for a pedicure and full set, she tried to rush even more. That will be the last time I’m coming to that place!

Clean spa, feel like the customer service was wanting.
I was a walk in and was immediately sat with a gal getting to work on my pedicure. After she removed my existing polish another customer walked in and said something along the lines of, «sorry I’m late!!» (It was around 6:08) and my nail gal promptly got up and basically said sorry Charlie she had an appointment — and left me hanging for 15 minutes. Another lady came to finish my service.
Bad service. Nails look fine. Cost $ 20 for a pedi — pretty good price.

Worst pedicure I have ever received in my life. I was clearly displeased with their service and yet no resolution was offered. On top of that, their sign clearly stated the price of a pedicure as $ 20 and they charged me $ 23. I will never return to this place! If you’re smart you’ll go to diva nails up the street, the only downside is they’re closed on Tuesday which is the only reason I went to this dump called «fancy» nail. More like garbage nail.

I went in today and had the male nail technician do my pedicure. He was rough with my feet I have cuts on my toes and he cut so much of my nails there was not much left. The paint job was the worst!!! My nine year old does better. And he thought I was okay with that. I wanted to say, «would you let someone do your toes like that.» I know he would have said No. Even the female nail tech was cutting corners on my full set. And they acted like I was an inconvenience for asking for these services. I was expecting good service like I had before. I am no longer going there, they have lost my trust with safety and sanitation. I am not happy. Only person I know there that has given me the best experience was Helen! She is awesome! Ask for her if you choose to go you won’t be disappointed with her!

I made a nail appt at another salon and the other super unprofessional salon gave my appt away and tried to make me wait 45 min. Lavish nails got me in RIGHT AWAY even though they were busy and closing in the hour. Roe was amazing. I almost fell asleep during my foot and hand massage. I got a shellac mani /​pedi and I will be back.

I can’t stop saying this when referring to Fancy Nails, where my two girlfriends and I stopped in this weekend to get mani pedis.
This is a basic salon — it’s in an iffy looking part of town and I somewhat questioned the cleanliness, but so far no fungi so I’m doin’ good. The main reason for the 3 stars was just the quality of the massage/​mani. They were super friendly and definitely gave a good rub, but it was quick and frantic, and I felt a little stressed like they were trying to rush us out of there. The manicure was also rushed and I had to ask her to correct a few spots.
$ 28 for a basic mani pedi is, I think, a pretty good price, but overall it was just an OK experience. Very friendly staff though and we got right in with no appointment on a Sunday.

So this rating is for two different services. I would like to say that my pedicure was average about three stars. Nothing to brag about. The price for a pedicure was great and the staff was really nice. However, my low rating is for the advertised lash extension. I know it’s my fault for going to a nail salon for this but there are many nail salons that offer lash extensions and do a pretty decent job. Long story short because I hate bashing a hardworking place but my lashes were glued together with drops of glue stuck everywhere. In the hour maybe 15 – 20 are glued in each eye. Only used one hand and tweezer to apply my lashes. Used scotch tape instead of lash. The blasting full size fan she left blowing on my face had me gasping for air and left me wrapping myself to keep warm. She did apologize though and she was gentle. But I only would ask not to put something on the menu that they maybe have seen it done on or know where to get supplies. But they really have no experience or knowledge on how to do this. I did pay the $ 80 tip included. Only because it was still their time and supply. But I won’t be returning for any services.

I love this place! I come about every two weeks and always have a pleasant experience. I have gotten both manicures and pedicures. I usually get shellac manicures and they last for about 2 weeks. The staff are very friendly and they always take their time. I also get to enjoy a nice massage when they do the manicure which is rare. It’s also very well priced! In fact one day when I really looked at the reciept I told them they charged me wrong because it was so low! So i always make sure to tip well. I tried a few other nail places closer to where I live in Maple Leaf and they were all terrible. So I drive the little extra to Fancy Nails because I know I’m going to get a great manicure.

FIRST CLASS IN EVERY WAY: CLEANLINESS, QUALITY OF SERVICE, AND FRIENDLY ATTITUDE. Had maybe the best pedicure I have ever had here, and I have had many. Plus the price is reasonable, too reasonable compared to others.
Try it, I believe you will be pleased

I’m a guy who came into this place for a manicure on a whim because a) it was close and b) it was open on a Sunday. I was surprised to find the staff very nice and attentive. I’m giving them 5 stars because for the price ($ 12 — average for these sorts of salons) I got a very competent manicure with extra attention spent on cutting my nails short and rounded (instead of squared off like some places do) and when I asked for them a little shorter she went and meticulously cut them a little bit shorter without any hesitation. Nice.
Everything was just done a little bit better than the norm, and so for the price, thumbs up.

I arrived just after they opened. They were quick to serve me. It was very cold inside, colder than outside (¹⁰⁄₁₃) and they made me bled, they didn’t say anything about it as if i wouldn’t feel it

I got a fill here, and it was the lumpiest, most uneven fill I’ve ever had. The acrylic gel was not smoothed down properly on any of my nails and I am left with extremely bumpy nail beds. They also left many of my hangnails/​cuticles untrimmed, and all of the dirt under my nails, too! The polish has chipped already on some fingers and it’s been about a week. I’d go back to have them fix it but I literally don’t trust their skills. Fancy Nails should be called Careless Nails :(

Don’t get the wrong idea. You don’t have to be a woman to go here. I have a hard time reaching my toes because I am tall. I come here to get the foot massage, cleaning and pedicure because it’s something I cannot do. It’s the best $ 20 I can spend on payday, and for about 50 minutes I am in heaven. It’s very soothing and comforting, and if you get Tina you’re sure to get the job done right. C’mon, guys! Man up! Don’t be afraid to admit you might need a good foot cleaning. Several Asian beauties there to comfort you and clean those dirty nails and toes! I go about six or seven times a year.

Staffs are nice and welcome. They provide good service.
HOWEVER! It ALWAYS cold in winter and hot in summer! I wonder how the staffs can handle working under such conditions like that. And there’s smell. Also, polish never last long, i wonder if they use the real OPI polish.

I got a pedicure here on Tuesday evening and my toenails are still looking great! Not a single chip or any fading over color at all.
It was only the second pedicure I’ve ever had in my life, if you can believe it, so I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect, but the experience went great. It was pretty darn relaxing, went fairly quickly (yet with plenty of attention to detail), and was inexpensive ($ 20 bucks!).
They have a TON of colors to choose from — I went with a beautiful tropical blue color that looks great in the summer sun.
The staff are super friendly and nice. We just walked right in and they were able to get to us in about 5 – 10 minutes.
They have VIP Reward Card, so if you get 9 services, on the 10^th service, you get a free fill or manicure — pretty good deal.
I recommend this place!

This place is by far THE WORST EVER!!! The staff is nice but the work is really bad! Me and my friend got pedicures and I got a fill on top of that our desings were nothing like we asked or like on the sample nail.
My fill was just horrible!!! I had 4 crooked nails and 2 of the staff members would not fix them!!! And within 2 weeks I already had 2 broken nails! This place is not worth it at all theres better nail salons out there tghis one is not one of them at all!!!
