Firefly Car Rental

I wish I could give this place a zero, the employee was uninformative and very unclear on things. A lot of hidden fees. It «was» the cheapest that day. We walked through all the car rental places looking for a car and firefly was the cheapest so I thought. Anyways I told my fiancé to get the insurance just in case bc my sister had her car rental broken into luckily she had insurance. So it was 20 a day which was fine. He said that we had to get some other insurance for the car in case we lose it or something. And being in a rush I said fine. The employee at firefly said the grand total will be 96.84 … I said that’s fine let’s book it. He then was explaining the gas and stuff said its 2.55 if we don’t return the car with gas. And I was like oh that’s ok bc it’s the same price outside anyways. So returning the car the guy collecting it told us to go upstairs and it wasn’t the same guy who rented us the car it was a lady and we ended up paying 296 even. Why? Oh bc in small ass fonts under the damn sign was 9.99 if you don’t prepare gass. Now if the the damn employee woulda told me that in the first place I woulda made damn sure I filled up that tank. Anyways end of gas rant. On top of the 9.99 per gallon price we had to pay there was a bunch of fucken hidden fees. We called them and complained and they said oh we can only give you 20 dollar credit. The employee helping you should have told you and we can’t do anything about it. Like wtf. Alright cool. Anyways thanks for reading this now you can rent somewhere else and save your money. ITS CHEAP WITH ALOT OF HIDDEN FEES so save your time and money y’all.

I would give zero if I could. I noticed a charge of $ 20 for a toll bridge that I wasn’t aware I would be charged. It would have been nice if someone would have mentioned that when I was renting the car. I’m not from the area and therefore not aware of any toll bridges in the area. (My state doesn’t have them.) No guidance on how to return the car. The customer service representative looked bored and acted as if I was wasting her time. I regret using them and should have paid the extra $ 5 to go with a more trusted company.
The car was a car. They said the tank was full but it wasn’t. Since they don’t have any reps in the car rental area, I wasn’t able to bring that to anyone’s attention.

We are still here after waiting a hour. we booked the car and they said they don’t have any available. Why would I pay for something that you don’t have? Horrible business model

Customer service was great. Booked through priceline. Car was clean.

To be fair, I have no idea how their cars are. When we got to the rental counter and they explained that they refuse to deal with insurance companies so we’d better pay an additional $ 45 a day for insurance or face the possibility of daily credit card charges if the car was damaged, we high tailed it to a different rental car company. I wouldn’t think of reserving with them again. I’m disappointed to see that they’re part of Hertz, which I usually think of as being a better rental car company.

Horrible customer service, booked via Expedia because of the deal and come to find out because we were putting it on a debit card our rate tripled. Money is money they shouldn’t penalize you because you don’t have credit cards. None of the employees look happy to be there, they just stare at you like your the plague. I’ve never had any issues using any of the other car rental companies even when my husband and I used to rent cars under 23. Needless to say we will not be using firefly again.

I wouldn’t give them a star rating if even that. I was left waiting in the lurch of not knowing who to contact when I dropped the car off there was no one around. I had a 6:00 AM flight and nobody to accept the car return and the guy from Thrifty said to just leave it they will get it when they come in. What kind of business is this. Then the were constantly rebilling me on my American Express card and then said it would be settled after I returned the car. It has been a week I’m still getting charges daily from them. And none of it adds up to what I was told I would be charged. Never again would I ever use this company. It is part of Hertz just so you know when you get the bill. It is now running at over $ 150.00 above what I was told it would cost. And I am still fighting with them on the amount.

After having been passed off to Firefly from another company the agent here was nice enough to get me into a car for similar price just a class downgrade. The car was fine but they tried to push me into buying the full insurance via scare tactics for over twice the price of the daily rental car rate! Ridiculously overpriced insurance! I would recommend the company as they were nice and tried to be as helpful as possible.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. The customer service is horrible here. I had a 7am flight to catch but no one told me that they don’t open until 6am. There were no instructions on what else you. No attendants anywhere. The person who finally showed up wasn’t apologetic at all that I waited 30 min for them at the butt crack of dawn and that I’m running late to check in for my flight. He was super rude and instead of offering an apology, he basically implied that I didn’t follow the instruction right. Argh. Never again will I use this company!!! Worst experience ever with a car rental company.
