Fusion Beads

I guess I was lucky because I was treated really well by the sales people. I’ve had my own business as a jewelry designer and have bought in bulk on-​line and other places. This is a GREAT place to buy beads – no substitute for seeing the product before you buy. They have a fabulous selection of only the highest quality beads – this is not cheap crafter’s stuff, but beautiful supplies for people who want quality.
There are so many things to look at that I had to ask for help finding something very specific, and they had it there! It was a rather esoteric type of bead, so I was impressed that they carried it. They were only too eager to help out, and were also very helpful in making suggestions for colors, type and size when I was having trouble deciding between things. A really great experience!

I had to face with very mean attitude from short haired sales person today.
Today was my third visit to the store and my first two visits they were so nice and i thought i found my favorite store but after todays attitude i ll never go to that place again.

I’ve been in this shop several times and enjoy their huge selection, providing something for every style — far beyond just the classic beads.
I always have a good experience, but yesterday was exceptional. The assistant manager took a great deal of time helping me with two different projects. Because I’d picked a few components I loved — but that presented some challenges, a fair amount of trial and error was required and she patiently stuck with me. She ensured I had something I liked and that was finished by the time I left the shop. In fact, I’m wearing my new earrings today!

I love, love, love this store. I regularly spend over an hour shopping there, and it’s so fun! They have a bunch of new stock regularly, and the bead quality and prices are great! They also have really great instructors.
The website is fantastic too. I live on the eastside, so I mostly order there. The website stock is pretty similar to the retail store (at least for seed beads and crystals), so it’s helpful to browse the catalog online if you are looking for beads for a particular project.

On Black Friday, I went in to spend my gift certificate at Fusion Beads. It was very busy and at checkout, the cashier said my certificate was already used. I was shocked because I knew it should be good. The very nice employee and the manager took time to research further and found that it was a valid certificate.
The employees never made me feel that I was trying to cheat them and they were very patient and understanding. Excellent customer service!

After having a bad experience at another bead shop (ahem, Alexander’s Bead Bazaar), I went into Fusion looking for crystals, semi-​precious stones, and sterling components. The entire staff was super helpful, taking the time to explain technique and help me find all the supplies I needed. In addition, the layout of the store is awesome, making things easy to locate. They’ve earned my business!

This place is sweet. Beading = something that has aways intrigued me. So one day I finally stopped in. This place is magical. They’ve got tons of options. I didn’t feel prices were horrible, but much more expensive than buying in bulk online.
The ladies there are very good with giving advice (esp if you’re new to beading, and that was TOTALLY me). There are MANY bead stores in Seattle to choose from. I was talking with another nice customer who was perusing the beads with me, and she said that Fusion is the place with the nicest and most helpful people. And I haven’t been anywhere else! It’s also close to where I work, which is a huge plus. I love how they have their own parking lot too.
I was able to successfully recreate a necklace that I love which I bought from Jcrew years ago. But I wanted to make it in silver, since my Jcrew necklace is in gold. I was able to find a sterling silver chain that matched VERY well with the original, and beads I wanted, (and tools), to make my necklace in silver. I couldn’t be happier with the results. I’d bead every weekend if I didn’t have such a severe medical schoool budget!

I’ve always bought jewelry in the past and never thought to make my own. I found a Groupon for this bead store and decided that it would be a fun activity to do while my friend was in town.
When we walked in, a staff pleasantly asked if she could help us. We told her that we wanted to explore the store first before deciding on what we wanted to make. The store in itself is pretty fun since there are thousands of bead designs to choose from. All of the beads of of different size, shapes, colors, and dimensions. I had broken a pair of earrings before and sought to recreate the design.
Luckily for us, we came on a Monday where they offers their customers the opportunity to construct their own jewelry on site. They lend you the pliers and other tools. We also had a very nice instructor who helped us with teaching us how to make our jewelry. She was a pretty good teacher because it seemed that she was really trying hard to give us step by step instructions on how to pull and shape the wire. She wasn’t the kind of teachers who just did everything for us but made us try to do it ourselves. That way, we could really learn how to make the goods.
If I had left at this moment, I would have gave this store 5 stars BUT, I started having mixed feelings about this place when we were paying for the items. The lady who helped us (middle aged with brown hair and wore glasses) was really rude and condescending. I read the other reviews on Unilocal and totally agreed with them! This woman talked to us like we were 3 year olds. When we asked to buy chain, we didn’t know that there was a pre-​set minimum on how much we had to buy. She awkwardly informed us that we had to buy x amount and then stared at us for about 10 seconds like we were dummies. The way she talked to us was conveyed a «duh, are you stupid» message. I did not appreciate the way she was talking to us.
Aside from rude service, I’d say that this bead place is a little more expensive than the other stores nearby. However, with a groupon/​yelp/​Chinook Book coupon, it brings the prices back down to average.

My daughter and I were wandering around the store aimlessly trying to find supplies for a necklace project she wanted to do. (We are total beginners in the jewelry making world.) Sarah asked us if we needed help, and after looking at a picture of what we wanted to make, she not only helped us find everything we needed but even demonstrated some basic wire techniques. She was extremely friendly and helpful. I think she deserves a raise. :)

I was standing at the counter waiting for someone to help me with tools. Feeling ignore I politely asked the nearest salesperson for assistance when she had a minute. She yelled for assistance stating something that shouldn’t be said in front of a customer. She was so rude I was shaking. I couldn’t believe the trashy way she behaved not to mention looked. I shop on line now. I won’t go back in there.

I love coming here. The selection is great, and the employees are very knowledgeable and encouraging. They have given me a lot of advice and different options for techniques to consider. The staff members all have different specialties, so if you’re working on a new technique, they often have great advice. The prices on wire and chain are unbeatable, too. I’ve bought bulk chain and wire online in the past for much more than you can get it for at Fusion Beads.

This is my favorite bead store in Seattle! The staff have always been friendlier than some of the other stores I’ve gone in and they always have a selection of clearance beads and on-​sale beads. Lately, I’ve really appreciated the multiple opportunities for getting 20 & 30% off everything in the store. Also, they’re classes are really great!

Fusion beads is a great bead store. If you cannot find it in the store then it may be found on their web site.
That said I have to be frank about the attitude that some of the employees desplay to thier clients. Not all, but a select couple of the employees are very condescending. As a male shopper I have been treated poorly and have even had sexist remarks made to me by one of the instructors
If I were the owners I would send in a mystery shopper that would be evaluating the performance of the staff.
I wanted to amend my last review of this store. I went in to find an 18 carat clasp to put on a necklace. It was a bit pricy. I looked at it today and it is tarnishing. So Buyer beware. I was sold something that wasn’t what they said it was.

So since I first discovered fusion beads a few years back, I’ve probably spent half my life saving here without even blinking. I always go in for a clasp or some wire, and wall put with 4 new projects having spent $ 100.
I’ve been a jeweler for years and have been to many a bead store, fusion is really top notch. Quality merchandise, super helpful and friendly staff (who actually make jewelry which is helpful)…pretty expensive place, but you get what you pay for.
Get on their email list for sales! When they have them they are REALLY good. Amazing class schedule as well.

Being a newbie to the world-​o-​beading, I was easily intimidated the first time I walked into this store. There are an insane amount of options, and being a first-​timer, I didn’t really know where to start. Luckily, everyone is extreeemely helpful. For example. I basically showed them a pin of a necklace I had wanted to make (the link on Pinterest was dead. isn’t that the worst?) Anyways. So I decided to attempt to make the necklace myself, and I showed them the photo and basically said «I have no idea what I’m doing. Please help.» And the woman literally took me all around the store and told me step by step what to do, answered all of my questions and told me to bring in the necklace if I ever was stuck and needed help. So nice!
The necklace turned out great and I have been back several times to try my hand at several other pieces. The only complaint I have is that the first time I asked for help, I asked a woman who was a bit older, very thin. don’t know her name, but when I asked where to find something, she snapped, «Can’t you ask someone else??» Yeesh! Stay away from her. :\ I have had help from 3 – 4 other ladies though, and all were very patient and informative.
Overall, a great little shop and I’m happy that it’s so close to my house. :o)

BEWARE! This store is highly addictive and you will find yourself spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars here if you’re not careful! Well, at least it’s somewhat of a healthy addiction, all things considered.
The bead selection is pretty phenomenal (also overwhelming if you’re coming in for the first time). Staff have been really helpful each time I have come in to look for supplies for my latest project. They offer pearls of wisdom which is much appreciated.
Their classes are also amazing. Enthusiastic and informative teachers who know what they’re talking about. I’ve been to a few of their classes and am always on the lookout for new ones.
The only downside: they close at 6 p.m. most weeknights which means I typically go during the weekends which can get pretty busy.

Fusion beads has a wide selection on beads and related tools and accessories. I like their selection, new item tables, classes, and easy parking.
I have to mentally prepare myself each visit for the staff. They are snotty, rude and arrogant, especially the managers: Mel and Allison. Really I end up disgusted each time I leave. Last time I came with a return. The manager on the shift (Allison) said «we don’t have time for this». Another staff member still helped me with the return, but Allison came back again and said to the staff person «Next time, we won’t take any transactions like this». She blatantly said it on front of me. When you return something, you get a store credit, so it isn’t like a return is lost income for them. I really don’t know what working in this bead store makes the staff think they are king of anything. They really need to improve their attitudes with customers.

Shiny people in a store of shiny things.
They have all sorts of pretty and funky beads, charms, wires, etc. I considered picking out a few items to create some jewelry pieces for an ’80’s themed party I might be going to, but decided against it.
I was taken there by a couple friends because they enjoy making jewelry and one of them has had a good experience with one of their classes. I had a good time browsing and thinking about a temp job I had at the Fusion Beads warehouse several years ago, but decided against purchasing anything.
The only real downside of this place? The prices. I mean… I know it costs some serious money to rent the store space and have employees and all that other stuff, but I was *quite* shocked when I saw how much the friends spent on that one visit.
