I had a family heirloom watch from the 60’s left to me and wanted to get it running and restored. I went to one watch repair shop that sat on it for several months and pronounced it unfixable, but it had started once so I didn’t accept that. After trying Gillis, the owner stated nothing was unfixable but was very up-​front about getting in over my head on sentimental value. He made a «not to exceed» commitment I was fine with– and then ended up going through a bunch of movements and work to make good on it, but did. I was thrilled with the results and also appreciated this level of honesty and integrity. Highest possible recommendation for anything watch-​related!
