Wander around to the back and the balcony to find more amazing sculptures and paintings. This place has a sleek, modern interior but manages to maintain a somewhat cozy feel, especially upstairs in the back sections. I just took one star off because this was the only art gallery in Seattle where the people were cold(did not even greet us and pretended like my friend and I were not there).

Unbelievable that this gallery hasn’t been more reviewed. Art is its own world where what is good is defined by a murky process made by people who went to art school, people who can converse in art language, people who have seen a lot. But forget that, if you like it, it’s good! Danger though, the more you see, the more you refine your individual aesthetics. It can change. Kucera is a Seattle art champion and heir to pioneer Linda Ferris. If you are in the hood, the gallery is a must stop, if only for your art eye education of what you think is good!

Loved this gallery space! They have a large front area where the main exhibition is but make sure you wander all the way through to the back. They have a pretty big maze filled with different genres of very interesting art; from sculpture to mixed media painting to photography. It kind of feels like your in someone’s home gallery, warm and inviting & cozy — as opposed to other galleries I’ve been in. There’s even an outdoor balcony area with some sculptures. We asked the woman at the front about other galleries to check out & she was happy to help ;) I will definitely be back next time I’m in Seattle.

I always seem to have a favorite gallery in major cities I repeat visit to. In Seattle, it is Greg Kucera. This place always seems to have work a cut above the rest.
