GT Towing Service

I am an Apartment Manager contracted for towing service with GT Towing. We have cars that violate our parking lot quite often. GT Towing has the worst response time I have ever seen. I have to wait more than an hour every time a call for a tow. Today they didn’t even answer their phones. Just incredible. Looking for a different towing company.

Great Rates, very helpful, and super nice. Would call again without a doubt. If you don’t have AAA, consider calling this place.

I called GT Towing regarding a truck that had died by the side of the road which I wanted towed to a garage. I asked if they needed me there since the keys were left in the glove box. They said no. They had my land line as well as my cell number. This was Saturday morning. Monday morning, my son called them after talking to the garage and finding out that the truck never arrived. They said they would do it immediately. He called back a little later and they said 20 minutes. After he called the third time, they told him they couldn’t find it and asked if he wanted them to go back. He said no. Don’t even think about calling them for anything.

Just got my car towed due to a flat. Kevin arrived around the time he said he would. Picked up my car from White Center, had small talk on the ride, he was very courteous and kind. Took me 5 miles down the street to Les Schwab, had no problems. Amount was reasonable and experience was enjoyable given the situation. Would definitely use again.

Was riding my 1973 Honda CB500 motorcycle under the West Seattle Briidge last week and it suddenly lost power and the engine quit. Parked the bike in the Metro park & ride area along Spokane street and walked back to Harbor Avenue thinking I was going to have to walk home to Alki. Passed GT’s yard on the way and stopped in, one of their truck operators was just getting back at the same time.
I asked if they could tow my bike to Seattle Used Bikes and they said it wouldnt be a problem. The truck operator even offered to give me a ride home a few miles away to get my other motorcycle so I could have him follow me to SUB and drop the bike off.
GT is professional, they do a great job and their rates are competitive. If you need a tow for any reason, pick GT, you will not be disappointed

My car broke down today. Based on past experience, I called GT. After I hung up and they were on their way, fiddling around, I managed to fix the problem. Maybe it fixed itself and I’m taking too much credit, but in any case the car was running again. I called them back and offered to pay for the dispatch, but they said no problem. Thanks guys, and thanks for being there!

It was a Friday evening and the car broke down on northbound I-​5 near Boeing field. The company that I had called prior to calling GT said it would be 2 – 3 hours hours. GT told me they’d be on the scene in 20 minutes and they kept their promise. The driver was professional, efficient, and courteous. I would recommend this towing service to anyone.

Very responsive and the dispatcher was great to talk to. After Allstate left me waiting 90 minutes for a tow (they originally quoted an hour) and then handed me to half a dozen different people when I tried to find out where the driver was, GT was ready to send someone out immediately.

I called based on the great Unilocal reviews. I was quoted $ 100 hook up and $ 5 a mile. That was a higher price than was mentioned in other reviews but I figured that maybe it’d be better to pay more for a company that sounded reliable and well-​liked. I had a 10% off for first time customers coupon from their website.
An hour later, a tow truck from a different company showed up. GT was too busy, so they sent the tow request elsewhere. I don’t have any issue with that in and of itself… doing that would ideally would provide better service to their customers. However, they hadn’t contacted me to let me know. Since it was a different company, the new company couldn’t honor my 10% off for first time customers coupon and was contractually obligated to charge me the full GT rate. The driver told me that if I had called the other company directly, I would’ve paid $ 75 hook up and $ 4.50 per mile. :(
I know the difference seems like a small amount of money, and I’m sure that most people who can afford a tow could afford the extra. However, I’m pretty low on cash right now and even that tiny amount actually would make a difference. I mean, I’m towing a ’91 Honda that doesn’t start… I feel like that could indicate something ;)

Extremely responsive and fairly priced. After working with GT, I would not call any other towing company in the Seattle area. Owner has a work ethic that is hard to come by these days and was on call to help me on memorial day. Thanks!

Showed to West Seattle in 30 minutes, exactly when they said they would. The fellow was friendly, we couldn’t get the car started (turned out to be the distributor) and he got me to my preferred shop in the U District quickly enough that I was able to leave my car in the shop! I haven’t shopped around much, but the price seemed good, and I would recommend GT to a friend.

I locked my keys and my baby in my car and they were out in ten minutes and opened my car door for free!!! These guys are the best! I owuld reccommend them to ANYONE!!!

Quick, Friendly service. I broke down on the 1^st Ave Bridge last night and I called them after finding on Unilocal.Arrived in just about 10 minutes from when I called the dispatcher. 2003 Mini Cooper on a flatbead, going 6 miles with the discount was about $ 125. Cheaper than anyone else would have charged me!

After a Metro bus cut me off, I was stuck underneath the West Seattle Bridge with two blown out tires. What did I do? I used the Unilocal app and found this place.
I called for an estimate and it seemed fair: $ 80 hook up & $ 5 per mile. They were there in 10 minutes! The driver (Dan or Dave?) was extremely friendly and efficient.
The total bill was much less than I expected. Make sure you CHECK IN and mention the Unilocal ad. You won’t be sorry!
I’m hoping that I won’t be a repeat customer (my car could use a break!), but I’d use them again in a heartbeat and recommend them to anyone needing a tow.

GT towing is wonderful!!! A customer locked her keys in her car after picking up her dog and had put the dog in the car already. It was an 80 degree day. We call GT towing and they were here in less than 5 min and got the car unlocked quickly. The dog was fine and we all were very thankful for their very quick service!!!

GT said they would be there between 15 and 20 minutes and were there on time.
The price was very reasonable and the driver Barry was super polite and nice.
I’d use them again although I really don’t want to be in this situation again.

I had an excellent experience with this company and would call them again. Both the dispatcher and the driver were friendly and professional, responsive and quick. The driver was at my house in less than a half hour.
I didn’t find the price out of line with what other services have offered. It’s never nice or cheap when you need to get towed. But when you need it, you want a company you can rely on who treat you like a human being.

I just had to take a moment to thank GT for taking such quick control of a scary and dangerous situation for me.
It was a late Friday afternoon. I was backing down a steep driveway, trying to accomodate another car doing the same. I didn’t see the edge of the enbankment and before I knew it, half of my car was hanging off the hill.
GT came out within 30 minutes and immediately secured car and wenched the vehicle back to safety.
Given the situation, I thought the price paid was reasonable. I would have paid twice! Before their arrival I was writing off the car already!
