So I called triple A and they sent out MIles towing. Everything went well till the car was dropped off the owner aske me to get in my Cadillac and roll it off the truck bed. First thing I notice is that he (owner of towing company) left the key in the on position. So now I have a car that doesn’t run. But now has a dead battery. So I let him know that he left it on and he stated,“I never do that your wrong. I said I am the one who just got in it and rolled if off there you made a mistake and left it on and now my battery is dead. He I didn’t do it I don’t make mistakes. I’ve been doing this a long time. Well I know I make mistakes as we all do now and then. So I asked him to sign the release forms he said,” No need”. Well for my records there is a need. So instead of offering to charge the battery or remove it for me and drop it off at Autozone down the street because of a simple mistake he made by leaving the key on. I know have to do it myself as he didn’t apologize or offer any solution to my dead battery beside flat out denying responsibility for doing it. I as a business owner would have offered a solution for the client to not compound a already bad situation. Instead of making my mistake make there situation worse. So I call Miles towing office and talk to the nice lady on the phone until I describe what happened. Then she was not so nice and defensive and telling me he doesn’t make mistakes like that. When I say yes he did do so and it was a simple oversight and a mistake. She tells me she is his wife and defends him to the end and offers no apology or solution as well and denies he did it. I couldn’t fathom doing this to a client myself as I am in a public service oriented company and would do what it takes to alleviate the problem I created for the client. But that is not there way. Denial and arguing with the client is there way. But there husband and wife so they back each other up not there clients just leave them in a worse position than I was in with now more or my time to be wasted by having to remove the battery and take it to get charged some where and have to get it reinstalled.

This is the best shop on Vashon. The owners Fred and Rachel are so great. They keep all my maintenance up on all my vehicles. I wouldn’t take my vehicles anywhere else. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone that needs any kind of repairs. I know I can trust and rely on all the work they do to my vehicles. I just want to say Thank You so much for all the great work you do.

I (embarrassingly) locked my keys in the car with it running. It was a Sunday afternoon and I live in a remote part of the island, but they rescued me and got me to my boyfriends’ birthday party in time to make the lava cakes. Thanks Miles Automotive!

These guys were the 5^th people I called on Vashon, and the 1^st to call back promptly. Thought I had a major engine problem that was common to the particular make/​model of my truck, and asked for their quote on that issue. About $ 1800 for labor — but they said bring it on in, they’ll take a look, maybe you’ll be lucky and it will be something simple. (I was fully prepared to shell out big bucks for a full timing chain rebuild — bought the vehicle with that budgeted in since it hadn’t come with records showing whether or not that had been replaced on schedule.) Was pleasantly surprised when I called back a day later and found out they had swapped a main belt that had gotten some grit in it that was making noise — instead of being out $ 1,800 I was out $ 100 and very relieved.
