This is my favorite coffee shop in Seattle! The guy making the drinks in the morning is super friendly & gorgeous. There’s a good vibe here going on! If you see ever in SLU stop by this place for a coffee

They have some of the best coffee in Seattle from a number of places all over the world. I only had their lattes and was never disappointed. The service was always friendly and helpful by letting you try whatever flavor before buying you drink. Great atmosphere for reading, confessing, or studying. Next time I am in Seattle, I will go there.

It’s right next to where I live and so convenient! The staff has always been quick and friendly. They also feature vegan treats which I very much appreciate. Wouldn’t ask for any other coffee shop nearby.

Friendly barista and cashier, and super fast service on a quiet Sunday morning at this location. I originally heard about Herkimer Coffee as I had met up with someone last summer at their Greenwood location. I remembered their coffee being good, but I never made my way back, so I stopped by this SLU location as I was passing through today. This location features a lofted space that customers can also sit at to chat, read, work, etc. — I really liked this space, as it was a bit quieted being back away from the doors a bit, and up above, so we didn’t hear the baristas as they conversed or anything. I can see this being a great study space, or somewhere to come to get away from the hustle and bustle of a busy day. Coffee-wise — I just had a plain latte today, and the coffee itself was pretty good, not over-powering, which I appreciate. Good balance between the coffee and the milk, and no bitter coffee after-taste as a result of the espresso sitting too long. The barista was also really friendly, and sometimes a friendly face and caffeine is all you need to get through the day. :)

With several branches scattered about Seattle, Herkmier Coffee is a solid place to stop by for some yummy coffee and to get things done. For this particular branch, it’s rather spacious and homey at the same time! With the rustic like charm and plenty of tables to do school/work or to socialize with people, I can tell that this is a pretty chill spot. As for the coffee itself, ordered a regular vanilla latte and it was quite tasty. You can taste the fresh coffee and the coffee art was cute. I would definitely swing by this place again to do school/work stuff and to try out the more exotic flavors that are available. Plus, the pastries here look mighty tasty and would be worth trying out.

Location and interior are great. The coffee is terrible. Sour, weak, and a bitter aftertaste. Not sure how a coffee shop in Seattle can get a basic drip coffee so wrong.

Don’t come here for meeting someone– music too loud to talk… don’t bother to ask them to turn it down– they won’t and with an attitude. won’t go back

If you want a decent cup of coffee, great space to work, and friendly service this is a spot to visit. We sat upstairs where there were about 5 tables and lots of plugs. We stayed at an Airbnb nearby and walked here. A refuge from the other chains around the area. Drip coffee was fresh even in the late afternoon.

BEST coffee in SLU… love this place. Great staff, super friendly, coffee is excellent, and now pastries from Macrina Bakery. Bam.

Herkimer sits on a stretch of Dexter with no other coffee options except Starbucks, so for those of us who live here, it is a total savior! Their coffee is exceptional, and the place has a very hip, Seattle feel to it. The cold brew is awesome and is my go-to in the summer months. Be warned though — do not walk into this place on your cell phone. I made that mistake(I was seconds away from ending a call) and the barista blatantly rolled his eyes at me and snickered to the other barista. I totally realize it’s a rude move to walk into a place like this on the phone, so of course I apologized. The barista immediately softened but I was somewhat shocked at his initial overt rudeness nonetheless. I was the customer in that situation after all and he could have been a bit more patient.

This place has great coffee. everyone is very nice when you show up and their pastries are on point. I’m not 100% sure where they are from but they seem fresh and a varied selection. they also have might O donuts there and that’s always nice to get as a sweet treat. Their coffee doesn’t have that brunt taste like Starbucks has and the prices are very comparable. They have a lot of seating upstairs.

Can I live here? Looked closed but the windows are just tinted — so glad we stopped in. The two baristas were laid back and nicely groomed. The coffee was quite nice. The breakfast blend tea was flavorful yet as mellow as the baristas. And the raspberry muffin was maybe the best muffin I’ve ever had. No joking around. The layout is really nice with an upstairs and some seats under the stairs; and the atmosphere was just chill — good music playing(Del the Funky Homosapien) and good vibes. We both agreed we will return, either together or one at a time, but it will happen.

I purchased an iced Americano with Vegan trail cookie. The Americano was made with love, no notes of bitterness at all. The cookie had these weird sea salt sprinkles on top which I could have done without, they kind of clashed with the cranberries but I guess with all the walking and sweating it may have helped me somehow? Electrolytes? I purchased a mug to remember my visit– looked to be a good size. Wanted to get some coffee beans but was afraid of packing that in my already stuffed suitcase.

Fantastic coffee — both espresso and drip are out of this world. The baristas vary in their measuring skills, though. One vanilla latte will be super sweet, the next will have hardly any flavor at all. I’d definitely recommend they start using pumps for their syrups to make sure each flavored drink is the same quality.

I stopped in this unassuming location, not really sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by a very comfortable location with some terrific coffee. No, really, the coffee they serve at Herkimer is better than 95% of the coffee stands in the city. If you care about your coffee, where it originates from, and how they prepare it, you will like Herkimer. As far as the location, I’ve only ever walked to Herkimer, so I’m no exactly sure where you would park if you drive there.

It seems like everywhere you go in Seattle, there is good coffee to be had. Herkimer is one of them. Serving the general population of East Queen Anne /Westlake and the developments up Dexter, Herkimer makes some truly delicious coffee. They’re right at Dexter /Aloha St — directly adjacent to the 26⁄28 bus route stop. It is the perfect location for the perfect cuppa jo’! I stop in usually once a week on my way to work for an Americano or drip coffee. Creamy and nutty with a hint of fruity acidity. They’re setup is straight forward. I love how convenient it is to go. Coffee prices are about on par with everyone else. Overall it keeps coffee simple and stopping by for a cup brightens my day, every time.

Way better than the half dozen other places we hit up. We hit up Herkimer to avoid a torrential downpour and enjoy some more time with our hosts for the day. Babies loved playing around, and the place was dead so no one cared about their obnoxiousness! Good times!

Continuing on my quest to visit every coffee establishment in Seattle(that’s not Starbucks or Tully’s), I decided to visit this little shop a couple of blocks away from my hotel. I ordered my baseline hazelnut latte and took a sip. I couldn’t taste the hazelnut, let alone the coffee. The temperature also could’ve been a little bit hotter, considering it is cold outside and if you’re doing some walking, you would like your coffee to still have some warmth left.
