We weren’t expecting much from a restaurant attached to a bowling alley, but we were soooo pleased by our experience. Not only was the restaurant clean, but the service was great and so was the food! The offerings were mostly bar food and such, but there were also some salads on the menu. I got the chicken fingers which were legit good. Plus, if you are in the mood for some bowling– just head through the door! Score! Strike!

I’ve been here 4 – 5 time every time up until now as been great. I ordered a club regular mayo instead of pesto. Got pesto. The husband got French dip with extra au jus. No extra jus. He loves soup got a side of soup. Turned out it was progresso with extra crap in it. The only thing decent was the salad. With wilted lettuce. He works in the neighborhood and had kicked out the chef for stealing beer from his store. I now know why it turned out so crappy. Hopefully the owners see this and bring the back up crew full time as the full time chef obviously has other issues…

Bowling is always a great time. This place is fun and laid back. I was surprised to have one of the better black bean burgers that I’ve ever purchased here. Don’t usually expect that from the bowling ally.

I’m really confused by the reviews of this place. I gave it a try based on the super strong reviews, and guess what? It was about what you’d expect from a slightly fancied up bowling alley restaurant. My burger was perfectly decent, but nothing to write home about. That said, yes, it is better than most bowling alley restaurants, but let’s try to be objective here.

We had a great time here! The standout was the Service. Jennifer’s timing was impeccable, she knew her Menu and recommended everything we had. All the food was awesome comfort food! We had the Highstrike Burger and the Chicken Strips. The Sweet Potato Fries were perfect and never ending, I only ate half of them. We had the Apple Crisp with Husky Deli Vanilla Ice Cream for Dessert and it was a spoon fight with Hubby! Delish! The wine list was great and she described all of them perfectly. We will be back for sure!

I’m a picky burger person. Needs to be hand formed ground beef and I prefer hickory charcoal grill. The classic burger at Highstrike is very close to perfect. Their fries are crisp and well seasoned. I’m impressed by their menu too. Ham and Brie on toasted roll; BBQ shredded chicken sandwich and fresh menu too.

When you first pull up to the parking lot it doesn’t look like a very inviting place to eat, it’s actually inside of a bowling alley. But don’t let that stop you because as soon as you try the food you’ll be hooked. Whatever you do, get the Thai shrimp. It’s absolutely delicious and a pretty decent portion since most places usually short you on shrimp dishes. Our waitress was very pleasant and made recommendations about what dishes to get. I got a creamy hamburger soup, which you could tell was freshly made with chunks of ground beef, and potatoes. I also got the smokehouse burger which was huuuuge, I’m a big guy and couldn’t finish it, had to take home half for later. Overall great experience, will definitely be back.

We picked this place specifically because they offered a free bowling game and brunch. The waitress rushed us to order breakfast even though we still had 45 minutes to go. The food was average but then when we went to bowl we were told we could not bowl that day but we should come back in one week. This date was not convenient.

I arrived here with a charity volunteer group for a meeting and bowling! The parking in the area is a bit tough at times since it is just street parking and the parking area in front of this establishment isn’t very abundant. They could not accommodate our group in the restaurant area so we ended up at the bar which sounded good to me anyway! The bar tender/waitress was very friendly and available. She made great drinks and things were awesome! thanks! The atmosphere was a bit small and the eclectic feeling of the restaurant was not as well duplicated in the bar seating area downstairs. Also, if you go on a Sunday I believe you buy a brunch and then you get to bowl 2 games for free! Awesome deal! The prices were average and the food was rather fun and various. Good times overall.

Very good food, Funky interior, nice people, and great price! Best of all, though, is the very good food!

Their breakfast is bad. Desiccated potatoes, cold eggs and over cooked meat all take way too long to come out of the kitchen.

I’m just gonna put this out there: best burger in West Seattle. Yep, I just said. I know, I know. I’m fully aware of Zippy(which seems to always be either super greasy or super burnt). I’ve had met the Burger Boss(maybe I just never seem to pick the right thing off the menu). And I see Coastline(why does it take 45 minutes, even when I call ahead for takeout?). But if being honest, the Highstrike burger is consistent. Well cooked, stacked high, on brioche and never too greasy. Pair it with a beer and house made chips. Sorry, in my book, this place wins, hands down.

When all the apartments and condos come in to West Seattle as planned over the next 2 years this place will be packed every day! It’s a well known best kept secret to those of us who are regulars here that their food, service, and comfortable atmosphere is THEBEST. Whether you’re there for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you won’t be disappointed! If you like steak salads order theirs!!!

Very cool spot. You can get 2 free games of bowling for eating brunch here. The brunch is pretty solid,(I had the bacon waffle, which has bacon cooked into a waffle). I did have to rent shoes for $ 4, but I still think its an overall great brunch+bowling experience/value.

Came here to buy my first bowling ball. I got my hand measured and he said he would have it done in about an hour, we told him that was fine as we were going to grab something to eat close by. He suggested the spot upstairs and that it wasn’t your typical bowling alley food. So we went with it and we were impressed! Cider on tap, amazing nachos and a burger/fries my girlfriend couldn’t finished. Seriously, this is worth a shot if you were ever thinking about it!

The best«American» food I’ve ever had; letalone in a bowling alley! The fryer they must have is amazing; anything fried at this restaurant is a must have! The oil is never old and the fryer is kept at a high temp to ensure no fry is ever soggy! Same goes for all fried foods; I’ve had the standard fries, sweet potato fries, hand cut chips, and chicken fingers and they were all incredibly crispy yet soft inside. I also recommend the pizzas. I’m still completely blown away that a bowling alley restaurant has such amazing food. Whenever I crave a sandwich I head to Highstrike now.

Free game of bowling with breakfast — what a great choice on a lazy Sunday! *Service: 5 stars(and her name was Sara. so +1 in my mind) *Atmosphere: 4 stars — very comfortable, like a clean diner with updated décor *Food — 3.5 stars — sausage and eggs were great; the potatoes are badly in need of some FLAVOR — plus they could’ve put more on the plate(see pic) *Location — next to awesome West Seattle Bowl, corner of 39th and Oregon ALSO, THEYHAVETO-GOONLINEORDERING with pictures of every single dish for lunch and dinner. By the looks of it, I gotta try those homemade chips.

«We’re going to take the ball– and we’re going to score!» One of my favorite moments in Seahawks history, but also for sports in general. Any Seahawk fan will remember that moment when Matty won the overtime toss during a playoff game against the Packers and made such a bold claim… alas, the Seahawks did not score… but that’s not the point. So, when I saw the sign in bold writing«WESTSEATTLE’S BESTFISHANDCHIPS» planted for everyone to see driving on Oregon– I was reminded of that moment in Seahawks history. I mean, that is a HUGE statement of faith in your FNCs– we’ve got living legends: Sunfish and Spud’s to name only two institutions. I’ve heard rumors of a place on 35th too, so man– way to throw it out there Highstrike… I appreciate the balls. SO, I made my way in after a long day at work near the end of the summer. The inside décor is clean and somewhat reminiscent of a 90s era semi– chain restaurant or something… I wasn’t really there for the ambience though. It was cool to hear the bowling going on behind me as I watched the Mariners lose on some big screens in front of me. I mentioned to the waitress the sign outside and she said to give it a shot, with a wry smile– I couldn’t tell if she believed what was stated or if she thought my socks would be blown off. She mentioned that each order is made to order and the fish is brought in fresh each day… so, we were getting off to a good start. The fish: well, it’s a little different– but different isn’t bad. In fact, I was diggin’ it. It’s more of a panko– like batter, which was super crispy, and freaking hot. Not too greasy, and the fish was flakey. Again, different than what I’m used to, but the more I ate the more I liked. The fries were awesome, great addition of pepper on them, and had a really great flavor. I enjoyed it, I really did. I can’t say it’s West Seattle’s BEST, but it’s a runner up for sure. I do appreciate the bravado to put that out there– and I will be back again.
