This place is amazing! My boyfriend and I stopped in yesterday as we were desperately searching for some good wings, and boy, they did not disappoint! We ordered a plate of Chinese donuts, BBQ beef, 2 sides of steamed rice, 2 orders of the butter garlic chicken wings, and the side of duck(which was 4 pieces!). Altogether, it totalled $ 29! and was absolutely delicious! Served with tea on the house… this place is where it’s at! I already want to go back for some more wings and to try their braised duck noodle… like ohh mahhh gaaaddd… This place is nirvana!

Let me just start with if I could give this infinity stars I would. This is my absolute favorite restaurant of all time(I mean what other kind of noodle makes me forget about a bombed midterm, my poor health, or that I really need to exercise with all the food that I eat?). Just kidding to everything except that this place is the best. The restaurant itself is pretty small but still holds(maybe?) 12 tables. All the workers wear these yellow shirts(and if that doesn’t brighten up your day then I’m not sure what will… jk the food will duh), which apparently is their signature at all the locations(haven’t been to the others but I’m sure their just as exceptional). Parking at this location is terrible and there’s never any spots open on the main level but there is a garage underground(don’t park at the market parking lot, my friend has gotten a ticket before). In terms of food, I really ever order the Egg Noodle Soups(soup style). I have tried dry style and nothing was wrong with it I just prefer the soup with my noodles. In terms of specifics, I get something different every time I go in so I’ve probably had half of what’s on the menu for egg noodle so far. Once I strayed and tried a Rice Noodle Soup and my palate was not having it so I stick with egg noodles. The broth in the soup is delicious. The broth probably has had some kind of meat boiling in it since it tastes fatty but in the absolutely best kind of way. They are more than generous with the amount of noodles that they give you and if that doesn’t make you full, all the toppings with it sure will(veggies/meat/seafood/broth). I would recommend anything with BBQ Pork/Duck and Wontons/Sui Kau. Did I mention that everything is less than $ 10? That’s steals man for how much food you get. If you’re really hungry, go ahead and order Fried Calamari or Butter Garlic Chicken Wings. I’m not the biggest fan of deep fried foods but these apps are so worth. You will understand why they are known for their chicken wings after biting into one of these. I like the calamari better but I just like seafood. Lightly battered and fried w these fried garlic toppings, dipped in sweet chili sauce, tell me that isn’t wonderful. Can you tell I love this place?

Butter garlic chicken and egg noodle soups remind me of home cooked meals growing up as a little Chinese boy in the country of Southeast China. Ok, that’s not true but sometimes I wish it was. Menu is pretty cheap, food comes out fast and fresh, full of Chinese and vietnamese people, lovely spot for comfort food.

There is really nothing I can be picky about this restaurant. The food is decently priced and very flavorful. The fried chicken is like the best I have ever tasted! The customer service is really good. My water is always full but my conversation is never interrupted. The restaurant overall makes you feel very welcoming. Will go back if have chance.

Visiting Seattle and found this little gem. Ordered the fried calimari and it was delicious — also included tasty crunchies in the dish. Had the combo soup(M3) and the serving was VERY generous. I probably could have shared it.

If you and your friends are once again hungover, give Hue Ky Mi Gia a turn instead of phở! They have all different types of noodles. Personally, I’m partial to the roasted duck with flat noodles. The soup is potently ahmazing, proven to cure hangovers and symptoms of hangry. It’s also perfect for that Seattle winter weather. Definitely going back and I definitely want to try the wings!

Always busy which is a good sign – first visit ordered dry egg noodles with BBQ pork and and shui jiao with soup on side. Not bad. Broth very flavorful – standard fishy, wonton soup broth. The dumplings had equal parts fatty pork and ground shrimp in very eggy wonton skin– that’s a plus for me. But very different than Mikes noodles down the street. Smaller dumplings with less pork and shrimp. Noodles were not great, lacked savory flavor of most wonton egg noodles. But mixed with broth, pork and dumplings, flavor and texture is there. Will return again.

Read the reviews, came and ordered chicken wings and braised duck noodle soup. The chicken wings here are good, but if you’re in Vancouver, the ones at Phnom Penh are better. The braised duck noodle soup was really good though, I enjoyed the soup base a lot and the bowl of noodles was larger than I thought it would be. I would come back for the noodle soups, probably a pass on the chicken wings.

My favorite kind of place — authentic hole-in-the-wall with super affordable dishes! We went with the Unilocal recs and ordered the chicken wings and braised duck noodle soup(with some other kind of noodle soup I can’t recall). The wings were incredible, and while I liked the duck dish, the broth was a bit too strong in flavor for my liking, but generally, NBD. Would totttttally come back!

The appetizers are where it’s at here. Yes, I’ve ordered noodle soups and stir fries while here. While not bad by any means, I just found myself kicking myself for not ordering an extra round of appetizers instead! The garlic butter chicken wings are obviously número uno. These are crispy, garlicky, melt-in-your-mouth delicious wings. You will stuff your face with them, your face will get little wing crumbs all over it, and everything will be worth it. The deep fried calamari is made in the same style as the chicken wings. If they’re out of the wings(alas, this happens every now and then), go for this – it is 100% worth it as well. The fried tofu is very similar to agedashi tofu, if you’re familiar with that, but with a simultaneously lighter and crispier coating. Dip the tofu pieces in the vinegary sauce that accompanies the dish, and nom away. The parking lot is chaos redefined. People everywhere, cars everywhere, and pillars everywhere. The exit was closed one time, so everyone had to both enter and exit through the narrow, steep, one-way entrance section. Yeah… that was fun. However, the parking is free, so I guess you win some and lose some.

I love coming here when I’m in the mood for some wonton soup or chicken wings! But come early in the day if you want the infamous duck noodle soup-I came here last night and wanted that, but they were sold out :(Their regular wonton noodle soup is alright, but it’s so much better with the duck! :p And their chicken wings are bomb! I wish I had a bigger appetite or someone to share with me at the time. I’ve also tried other items on their menu, like their chow mein. The servers are pretty friendly and the food comes out fast.

When I was in Seattle, i got kinda homesick and was craving quality Asian food. I bookmarked this place on Unilocal so we took a lyft ride here. I immediately noticed parking looked crappy here so I was kinda glad we didn’t drive. We ordered the shrimp fried rice, fried chicken, and duck braised soup per what the waiter suggested. The fried chicken was amazing. I find myself ordering a lot of fried chicken from Chinese restaurants, and this had to be one of the best ones I’ve had. I never had duck braised soup so I was a little nervous about eating it but it was actually really good. I was too full from the fried rice and chicken though so I didn’t have a full appetite to finish it all. Only reason I’m taking off a star is because service is slow and bad. We asked the waiter to refill our waters and after 10 minutes we had to remind him and even ask another waitress later on. Sadly they never even got to refilling it. It took them a while to also get us out check. Other then that, I highly recommend this place.

I’m not going to lie, any ethnic restaurant with a website as nice as Hue Ky Mi Gia scares me. Experience has told me that the more modern the ethnic restaurant the further from the true spirit of the food they are. However Hue Ky Mi Gia’s website is just makeup and in person Hue Ky Mi Gia has more personality and soul than you can shake a Fried Butter Chicken Wing at. Speaking of wings you must try the famous garlic buttery deep fried version they serve here. The fried garlic and butter will have you scraping up anything left on the plate. I’d recommend an order per 2 – 3 people. I had read many reviews about the Braised Duck Egg Noodle soup. Opinions vary wildly about this dish so I knew I had to try it for myself. The duck is amazing, tender and oily with pungent spices countered with pleasant sweetness. I encourage you to eat slowly. As the oil and spice are leached from the duck leg they begin to transform the broth from a benign stock into something so deep and broad it puts phở and even ramen to shame. It is a wonderful dish, something I will always crave on cold winter days. I can’t wait to get my hands around another bowl.

We traveled from Portland and this is the first spot we went to grab food. We ordered the butter garlic chicken wings to go and ate it in the car as we headed towards the rest of Seattle. The chicken is really crispy, but I wish the fried garlic and shallots stuck to the chicken better. The breading was thick, but the chicken was really moist. Would I come here again? Probably not. But I’m glad I came here to try it out. $ 8 for 8 pieces of chicken is really cheap. Parking here kinda sucks — the garage is small and has a very steep decline(it scratched the bottom of our car). There are two entrances — go to the one in the back. There’s more traffic, but you won’t have to scratch your car.

FRIEDCHICKEN. Thats all that needs to be said. It is delicious and crispy, albeit a little overbreaded. Other than this dish, and the fried tofu, I think other dishes are very mediocre. Mostly there is noodle and rice dishes. Even when I asked the waiter for recommendations, he keeps recommending the same chow mein over and over. Limited selection, and I personally did not think the chow mein was all that great. If you’re coming here, I’d stick with what they’re known for: Fried Chicken wings.

Yum! One of the best Braised Duck Leg Egg Noodle I have ever had. The meat was fall off the bone, super tender, moist and flavorful. The broth is a dark color that taste sweet yet you can taste a hint of herbs, but not too overwhelming. Friend order a Combination Fun Noodle, which she enjoys. Her broth was a lot lighter than mines and taste a bit sweeter as well and they weren’t stingy with the seafood or meat they put in her bowl either. The chicken wings was what brought us here, my friend and I both had 2 pieces and that’s all. We had left over and wasn’t impressed. We both liked our noodle more than the chicken. Did we taste the butter? Yes, garlic? Maybe a little, fried? I couldn’t tell it was light, a bit crispy but soggy at the same time. But thank god the calamari was one of the best I had. So that saved them from being a 3 star! So we order 4 items and was happy with 3 out of 4. Service was on point, the waiter was super nice, quick and always had a smile!

This is my go to egg noodle shop in Seattle. I even take my parents here and my parents never let me treat them out to dinner. Growing up on legit Vietnamese food with a mom that made everything from scratch and gives the embarrassing stink eye whenever she eats out, I have to be very careful where I treat her out to dinner. I always get the Chinese herb duck noodle with soup included. Duck falls right off the bone and the broth warms the soul on a rainy day. Always accompanied with Chinese donuts and the garlic shrimp Appetizer. Finished with hot tea and my folks are pleased. Mother and son approved all around!

This review is based on my take-out experience. Parking can be a pain so try to get here before the rush hour of lunch and dinner. Dishes are around $ 7 – 14. I agree with everybody here that their chicken wings are good; tasty, seasoned well, and very fried. The only bad thing about it is that it is oily. Duck egg noodle soup was not good. Noodles, and vegetables were undercooked. The duck was dry, and it tasted bland.

4.5STARS for Hue Ky Mi Gia and props to living up to the hype! Hue Ky Mi Gia is not too far of a walk from the main International District and Link Station(near Uwajimaya), and tucked in a strip shopping mall with several other Vietnamese restaurants. They have a small underground parking lot with a crazy narrow drive way which I’d never want to attempt to get into. This divey, no frills Vietnamese place appears to be a step above — they accept Visa/Mastercard and speak decently good English. The shared condiments jars were only slightly sticky… I came to try their famous butter garlic fried chicken and the braised egg noodles knowing I’d likely be disappointed by comparing it to what SF has to offer but I was wrong. * M4(?) BRAISEDDUCKEGGNOODLESOUP — 4.5STARS: Bottom line? Yes, it was delicious, with a broth unlike anything I’ve had(MSG? perhaps…). A very hearty and soul warming meal for cheap. If I had to be a bit critical, I might say the duck at Long Provincial is better but this is a close second. This one is different, tasted more like a Chinese roast duck with fatty skin(not complaining). The broth was savory and slightly sweet, flavored with things like dates and herbs. The egg noodles were cooked well. It’s topped with a generous portion of bok choy, which for some reason tasted too oily. Complimentary pickled cucumbers/carrots, and side of pickled jalapenos. Would definitely return for this. * BUTTERGARLICFRIEDCHICKEN — 4.5STARS: Where are they finding these enormous wings? These wings are gigantic and there is alot of them in one order(enough for 2 – 3 people to share). They are generously battered and fried to crunchy perfection, and topped with crispy chopped garlic. I like that it’s moist in the middle and extra crunchy on the outside. I only wish the oil tasted fresher. Overall, worth the short trek from the main Chinatown area. Pro-Tip: They were full on a Sunday at ~7PM. Also, they do have a few tables which accommodate 4+ guests. No wifi.
