Best dentist I’ve ever been to. And with teeth like mine that’s a long list!

Prior to becoming Dr. Jessen’s patient, I tried seeing several other north Seattle dentists whose offices boasted spa-​quality comfort, fancy salt-​water aquariums and young receptionists. However non of them was as competent as Dr. Jessen whose office emphasizes solely on the utilitarian functions and staff who’ve worked for him for many years. I’ve been seeing him for about 8 years now. Every time when I require some «work», he takes the time to explain to me what needs to be done and why — in plain language, informs me what he is working on during the process and would often tell small stories of his own life which makes him feel more like a friend. I’ve never experienced any discomfort after a filling or fixing. My husband and our two children also see him. We would not consider going anywhere else, insurance or not. We highly recommend Dr. Jessen to anyone who needs a family dentist.

My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Jessen for about 20 years. I’m always pleased to recommend him to my friends. He and his staff have consistently provided excellent service. We’ve become good friends and I’m grateful to feel secure in the area of my dental health. Ish Wood

Dr. Jessen is a real craftsman. He lets you know what needs fixing, what can wait, and explains everything really well. He’s got really nice help, too. I’ve been his patient for about 20 years.
For a brief time, I had dental insurance, but he wasn’t on it. I thought I’d be thrifty and use the dentist on the plan. Big mistake. I only went in for an exam and cleaning, but I felt like they were trying to b.s. me about how much work my teeth needed. Something just didn’t sound right.
I went back to Dr. Jessen. I realized that I care more about really great service, even if it meant he’s not on my plan.
As a side note, he’s got a real honey of a receptionist. She’s been there
the whole time I’ve been a patient there. That also says something about what a great person he is.
