Kevin Moreland, DC

I have to give Dr. Moreland 5 stars. When I was in not one, but two nasty car accident in a decade, his treatment and care, including adjustments on short notice as well as long term treatments,
are the reason I am not in pain today, and can turn my neck easily.
. He has a pleasant manner,
and does not mind me asking ‘why’ about his adjustments. I only wish I could see him more often, as I am extremely busy.
I have been a client since he had an office near my business, on Broadway, in the early 1990’s.
I had gone to ««not named” chiropractor in the past, who did not make me feel safe and well taken care of. This chiropractor got my neck in better shape in two, three adjustments, after I took a fall in my 20’s.
I will probably go to him till he retires, then I will mourn.

Dr. Moreland is a really interesting guy and definitely NOT your run of the mill traditional chiropractor. He takes an expanded look at your spine and nerve system and has so many unique methods of restoring normal function and relieving your body aches and pains. he has decades of clinical experience and a funky parrot to boot! a good chiro and good man check him out!

Dr. Moreland is the real deal. I’ve been to at least 10 different chiropractors in my life and Kevin is easily the best healer I’ve ever know. I now live in Los Angeles, and miss him terribly. But, every time I return to Seattle, I make sure to visit Kevin.

I have been seeing this chiropractor for over 25 years. I had such a bad neck, from being beat up when I was a teen, that I could not turn my neck all the way.
I suffered for years.
I had terrible pain in my neck, and numbness, that regular doctors just shrugged off… which I resented.
I was in terrible pain, and I was living on pain killers.
after a few adjustments by Kevin, I was HEALED. Only about five or six visits.
I went back to him when I was in a bad car accident, I had terrible trouble with one shoulder and my back. I was in real trouble, and he fixed those problems, with adjustments every week for a month or two.
I like that he will do an adjustment, then say, ‘come back if you have any problems’, instead of pushing weekly treatments.
I have recommended him to friends, and family members. I will not be happy when he retires.
He has a friendly and outgoing manner, not a stuffed shirt like some chiropractors. His many years in the field is his pedigree, plus his many, many fans.

As an HIV positive individual, the 1980’s and the early part of 1990’s, life and the ability to stay alive was uncertain for me. I had many a days of pain, fevers, digestive issues, weakness, depression and no energy. Those health issues also affected my bone structure, and bone strength. I was in a lot of pain most of my life back then. I was also holding down a job and had my own business. I went to Dr. Moreland for chiropractic treatments for joint and muscle pain. All I can say is this; I know that Dr. Moreland took ALOT of the pain away for me to be able to keep healthy. The pain stressed my body. The pain I was experiencing would make it extremely difficult to get out of bed and I would stay in bed for a few days. I would go for treatments from Dr. Moreland and within one to two days, I would be able to work and maintain my life. After my fevers would break, I would be left feeling toxic and in generalized pain. With chiropractic treatments, from Dr. Moreland my body would respond and I would be able to function. In the beginning there were no medications. When the late 80’s came, medications given were very dangerous and the side effects were hard on the body. I waited until the mid-90’s to start taking medications. Thank God we have better medications today. But with the help of Dr. Moreland, I was able to stay alive long enough to access the medications of today. I work, I take care of my elders at home, I AM IN MY MID 50’S! I was not suppose to live past 30.
I believe that because he took so much of my pain caused by HIV away from my body, I was able and lucky enough to concentrate on keeping healthy instead of stressing my body from pain caused by HIV. I believe that with pain being managed by Dr. Moreland back then, I am able to live to today.

I know with 40 years of seeing chiropractors there are good and bad ones. In my opinion Dr. Moreland is not bad or good he is the” BEST”. He truly cares about each of his patience and treats your body as individual as it is. Some chiropractors office can make you feel like your cattle in a line up. His technique allows your body to relax so it can be adjusted and stay adjusted. You won’t be sorry if you give him a try. Wish there were more than 5 stars.

Dr. Moreland really changed my life! After a bad back injury he gave me two adjustments and it was all I needed to get back to living my life! He also gave me advice about ways to make healthier choices when it comes to lifting, carrying and moving about, and encouraged me to keep eating healthy and staying active.
He’s a sweet, gentle, appropriate doctor with a great attitude and a love for nature and his clients. Enjoy.

I paid one visit to him, where be looked at x-​rays of my neck. He saw no issues with the x –rays, and then did a spinal adjustment without even feeling my spine to see what the issues were. I am now seeing a different chiropractor, and it turns out I hold my head too far forward of my body, and I have started to get degenerative defects further down my spine from it. Kevin Moreland would never have found these issues with my spine, both because he was never going to x-​ray my spine to see what the issues are, or even feel my spine to feel what the issues are. He is an incompetent doctor, and I am so glad I have not made any more visits to him. I don’t know how a person could go through more than 10 years of medical trainings and then seem to know so little about the treatments they studied.
If you want a real chiropractor who actually knows their stuff, go see Dr. Mary Kilmek at Lake Union Wellness. They thoroughly x-​rayed my spine, felt my spine, and discussed everything with me. They are top notch.

I have been really impressed with Dr. Moreland. I went to various chiropractors in my 20’s (now 50 yrs old) and really disliked the «popping» thing. Said I would never go to another one, until this year when I had some very painful neck and back issues that I simply could not resolve. Out of frustration and desperation, I decided to visit Dr. Moreland upon the recommendation of one of his patients. I was really nervous and not at all convinced I made a good decision. I was very happily surprised to find that after the fist session, my pain level was dramatically reduced. I regained a lot of the range of motion in my neck that was not there prior to his adjustments. My back felt much better. I then saw him again a month later for a few lingering back pains. I will be seeing him again this week (3 months later) because I lifted my grandson one too many times and re-​strained by back.
For someone who not a fan of chiropractic, I am very happy to have found Dr. Moreland and pleasantly surprised at the level of gentle relief he has provided me. And others are correct — he is a very nice, highly experienced and compassionate guy who really cares about his patients — it is quite obvious.
And, as a small business owner myself, I totally understand why he has to be diligent about getting paid. His rates are VERY reasonable to begin with and he keeps a very low overhead business, so when insurance does not pay him, of course he has to be firm to collect it, otherwise he would soon be out of business!
Kevin is super-​fantastic and I highly recommend him.

Really wish Unilocal allowed half stars. I’d give this guy a 2.5 stars but had to round down. I recently cleaned out my garage and ran across a letter this guy wrote to me about $ 20 my insurance shorted him. Don’t let his ZEN vibe fool you. He lacks patience when it comes to the business end of his service.

I have been seeing Dr. Moreland for the past 4 years, and he consistently provides a high level of compassionate and effective chiropractic care. I normally go in a couple itmes per year for sports and work related back/​neck issues, and usually within one treatment I am feeling great. I have found that his chiropractic care is equally as effective as massage for me.

I go to see Dr Kevin Moreland once or twice a year when my back is acting up, and have consistently received a very high level and quality of chiropractic care from this friendly and compassionate man.
You can tell you are in experienced hands when you in his care, as his many decades of experence bear out. In one visit, I am usually feeling better and unlike many chiropractic offices, am not finding myself back in the office for multiple follow-​ups.
The doctor has no staff or receptionist, so to schedule an appointment you will likely need to leave a message with a suggested appointment time. But expect a prompt call back. On the upside, overhead is low, and he bills out at reasonable rates.
He really exhudes a passion for his work and maintains an ethos of holistic care that is truly unique!

because I am gonna shout and tell everyone about Kevin, I have been doing Chiropractic for about 15 years now, and I have had a few different Doctors over that time, all good in there own way but some better than others, and he is one of the Better than others
and since they can’t work ²⁴⁄₇ its always good to have a second Doc for the days you can’t see your usual Chiropractor, and that what I was really looking for was a Chiropractor that worked Saturdays
Kevin does work Saturdays big plus there, also he is very in tune to the body and his Practice has been on Capital Hill Since 1983. Insurance Friendly, Manipulative Therapy/​Cranial Work, Food Counseling. he gave me some great ideas for supplements to help with my heart burn and to just keep things well
very easy to talk to and listens to what you have to say, and wasn’t afraid to say lets Google that and see what we find
