What a fun little place! Good beer and a very friendly staff. I’ll be back soon to expand the description of the place.

Best bar in Seattle, brand new spot, bartender was really nice. I had the Portland cider. 10 out 10

Great space, good beer, good atmosphere. The owners are nice and the food is good. 2 thumbs up to a new business. I will definitely go again.

Imagine being invited to a friends’ new place they haven’t fully moved into yet for an offer of dinner and beer, then realizing they had one can of PBR and a sleeve or Ritz crackers. You want to be nice and say «that’s okay, you’re just settling in»…then your friend asks you to pay the price of a 6-​pack and steak while barely talking to you all night…
The overall feeling I got was the ownership and management were rushed and simply didn’t do the proper planning in opening this place.
I would pass by the spot everyday for weeks before it opened around new years and tried to find a website, facebook, Unilocal,etc to no avail… after being open a couple days they magically had multiple 5 star reviews — likely friends, etc (understandable for a new place).
The problem is when I finally visited, you could tell they should have probably waited at least a few more weeks to open (or should have had more experience/​mgmt to open a bar).
I’ll visit again one day but for now I’ll pass.

Was down the way at the Back Door when I spied a sign that said «Piroshky and Beer!» I had no choice but to check it out.
The interior is small, but inviting. There is bar seating, two four-​top tables and two booths.
They serve wine, champagne & beer. The selections aren’t huge, but are good nonetheless.
The menu is limited-​baked potatoes and various pickled items. I had a classic baked potato and it was tasty.
I was a bit disappointed that they didn’t have piroshky tonight (they get their specialities elsewhere and did not get piroshky in their delivery today), after all, the sign was what initially drew me in.
I’ll definitely try them again though, the promise of piroshky and beer is too good to pass up!

I was really excited to see another Dinner option opening in Lake City, knew I had to give this place a try.
The space isn’t huge but it feels very inviting. The décor really gives you a Eastern European/​Russian vibe. The owner was super friendly and really made me feel welcome.
The menu isn’t huge mostly centered around different baked potato options with a smattering of Russian Side dishes. By far the standout is the «goat cheese butter,» and yes it’s as good as it sounds :). The beer selection on Tap wasn’t huge, but pretty decent considering they’ve only been open for a few weeks. A nice mix of beers and a cider option, everything I tried was very good.
Really look forward to getting to know this place better!

Try the julienne potato! It’s super yummy, and if you like stroganoff you’ll love it. Smallish space but the interior is cozy and comfortable. Pretty ample parking around and the light fixtures over the bar are the shizz! If you’re grabbing a beer with your best friend this is the place to do it.

Out of all of the bars in the neighborhood, this one has the best atmosphere. It’s a nice cozy place to grab a drink (and /​or a potato) and the people working there are very friendly. Also, the Tetris arcade game is a nice touch.
The missing star is because they only had a few different beers and wines to choose from. They just opened so I’m sure they will get more variety eventually (and hopefully liquor) and I’ll update my review then.

Nice new place to try local and Eastern European beers. I recommend the Baltika ;) Good music and cool atmosphere. Also have some yummy appetizers and filling potatoes

I was very excited when I saw a new bar opening up in downtown Lake City. The Backdoor Pub next door is a little too rough around the edges for my liking so I was hoping this place would be more welcoming.
They just opened a few days ago so they were only 3 drinks on tap, two beers and a cider. The bar tender said they’d be getting a lot more beers this week. All cool Pacific NW micro brews. It was $ 5.50 a pint.
They have a Tetris arcade cabinet which is a nice touch. If the bar owner is reading this I’d like to suggest you take it off free play. I was hoping to get a game in with my wife but the table next to us bogarted the machine for about 30 minutes straight. If it cost just a quarter to play you wouldn’t have people hogging the game.
