Showed up on trivia night — what a surprise! Place was somewhat packed, took about 5 minutes to get seated. Wines were yummy — been searching for someplace that serves decent Pinot noir and Chardonnay in the area. Way to win this one Watershed. Food was good — ordered a pie fold that burnt my mouth(really hot). It was good, may try a full pizza next time. Trivia was fun! We were awful but it was still enjoyable. Service was an abject F, hence the super low review. Had to find the hostess to get help in getting another drink(this is a bar right?!?). The server never visited our table, resulting in a 15 min wait for our check. Seriously poor. Can’t decide if I’m coming back. If I do I’ll pack an extra bottle of wine in my bag.

I go to school nearby and I’ve already been here a few times with some friends after class. Overall, this place is okay… food and beer was alright, atmosphere was nice, but for my grilled cheese and beer I spent close to $ 20 and personally I don’t think it was worth the money. The last few times I’ve tried their Margherita Bites and I didn’t like them. If you’re in a pinch, yeah. this place isn’t so bad, but if you can, I suggest going elsewhere.

Breakfast is good but their pizza is disgusting but heck at least its cheap. I believe their savings on quality make it very affordable to produce. No flavor at all they need to invest some time and energy into their product as pizza seems to be the staple of their menu.

Service was good. Spaghetti(Mon/Tuesday Special) was very bland, with the meatballs being just OK. Wife liked her grilled cheese and tomato soup.

The only reason I am giving this one star is because at least I got a rum and soda… This was my second visit to the watershed and will be my last. The staff here are horrible, like they seriously must hate their jobs so much they don’t give two effs. They all look sloppy, I understand if you have a causal dress policy, but Jesus you want look at least clean. I ordered a madori sour and about 10 minutes later our waiter came back and said oh sorry we don’t carry any of that, or anything close to it. OK. I literally ordered that drink a week ago. And you have a full bar? Obviously not. So I ordered a rum and coke and he was super rude and said well does it have to be coke specific? Cause we don’t have coke we carry an off brand Seattle cola. I am not a picky damn person I just wanted my drink on a hot day. The food was just blah. And can someone tell me why our waiter thought it was appropriate to take my food outside to wait on another table and then box it up outside and bring it back inside to our table. The pizza isn’t bad, but it’s nothing special. For three of us and we just had one pizza fold and one drink it came to 80 bucks. Ridiculous. It’s funny though the first time I came here it was for a work party and I had the same waiter and the service was just as bad. He’s name is Ben I think. He’s going to loose that place business . Again I can’t say enough how disappointing the service is here. I’m surprised they are still open.

I really wanted pizza so ordered from Watershed since I live in the apartments right there but I should’ve gotten Papa Johns. When spinach costs an extra $ 2 I expect it to be on the pizza not in a box on the side and the garlic that I paid another $ 2 extra for wasn’t even added. When I spend $ 24 on a pizza I expect it to be amazing or at the very least decent. It wasn’t busy at all in there so I can’t even use that as an excuse for them. Watershed was a complete waste of money and I won’t be eating there again.

The beer is good. A nice bar area in the Northgate area and they also have Trivia on Tuesdays! It is an enjoyable and casual atmosphere. The food was decent though nothing quite particularly to rave about. They have outside seating for those sunny days.

My family and I ended up here before a movie because we wanted to try something new in the area. We arrived at the restaurant 1.5 hours before our showtime so we could have dinner and get decent seats at the theater. After ordering food for two adults and two kids, we all waited 45 minutes before our server to even come and see how we were doing. No food. No water refills. No «I’m sorry we have a bunch of people ordering food right now.» We tell her that we are about to leave to a movie and she said she would speed things up. Another ten minutes later, we have food. It’s not good food, but it’s food. The kids got a side of fruit with their meals that looked like it was served out of a can. The brussel sprouts were hard. I make better food than this at home. Everything was bland and poorly cooked. When I go out to eat, I expect to eat better than I do at home. If you every find yourself around this movie theater looking for food, skip the watershed. It’s horrible. There is really good ramen, Thai food, and even conveyer belt sushi that would be so much better than this place.

Stopped by here for Saturday lunch with a group of 9 friends. Easy to get a table. The place is beautifully bright because of the large high windows in the place. They had live music playing, which could be a blessing(live guitaring is always nice) or a curse(it’s a bit loud) depending on what you’re looking for. I’m giving this place five stars for two reasons. First, the beer selection is unique and interesting. I tried the Cloudburst Psycho Hose Beast Triple IPA, which I had never heard of and has a fantastic name(and was very good). Second, the chicken bacon ranch pie fold I had was really, really good. It tasted like a white man’s shawarma to me. If you have a shawarma craving, this thing could possibly satisfy it :).

The Watershed has become our neighbor pub and for good reason. The pizza is excellent, the hot sandwiches are buttery, steaming goodness but for me it is the Tomato Soup. The soup is made with San Marzano’s and I love the brightness of the flavors. Beer, yes please! They only get in one keg of each beer and as soon as one is finished a new beer gets added to the list. The good news is that there is always something new to try. The bad news is that if you find a beer you love you will never see it again. The place can get a bit busy and noisy at times but that adds to the experience. When the sun is out you will find outdoor seating and they are dog tolerate which is a huge plus for us and The Puppy!

Their rotating list of beers on tap is awesome; tons of choices. Great service is consistent and the prices are very reasonable! Definitely check this place out if you’re in the Northgate area… great place to grab a drink before you catch a movie at the movie theater, just steps away.

Fun environment, great food, fantastic service on a large top of 15. Service was top notch, it is clear this owner and staff care about their store and he service they provide. Try the grilled cheese with a pizza topping, it is so tasty!

I really wanted to like this place but the everything about the Watershed Pub is so darn forgettable. They do have a lot of seating and provide beer and food if you need those things in a pinch. They are also conveniently located near the Regal movie theater. The main caveat with eating at Watershed Pub is the super slow service. Went here on a Sunday night. They are really nice but seem to be understaffed. The server forgot to fill our water and basically never asked if the table needed anything after the food was served. The food was satisfactory but so average that it will be hard to remember what I ate a few days down the line. I had a pizza with pesto chicken and it was clearly made from pesto out of a jar. The crust wasn’t entirely cooked but nothing too bothersome. So in summation, Watershed is a solid ‘meh’

Stopped in here before a movie thinking it would be average pub grub — totally wrong. The sandwiches were fantastic and a range of beers that you wouldn’t expect to find at a mall restaurant. It was so good we came back after the movie for dessert and more beer!

This was, without a doubt, the worst dining experience I have ever had. I would give this place 1−½ stars because the food, when it finally arrived, was pretty decent. But it definitely doesn’t deserve 2 stars. We dined here last week prior to seeing a movie across the street. Our movie tickets were for an 8pm showing, our party started arriving at the restaurant at 6pm. By 6:15 we were all there. There were 10 of us. Our food was ordered by around 6:30. We didn’t order much – couple of sandwiches, couple of salads, mac n cheese and one pizza. By 7:15, with no food arriving, we were getting very antsy, wondering how much time we would have to eat before the movie. We asked the server what was up with our food, and she kept apologizing and saying the kitchen was backed up and it was always challenging to deal with large tables. We said to just bring out what was ready, but apparently nothing was ready, not even the salad! Our drinks hadn’t even been refilled in all that time. Around 7:25, now waiting for almost an hour for our food, we started talking about scrapping the meal, just paying for our drinks and leaving. At that point the server gets another woman involved who we think was the manager who clearly doesn’t know how to handle unhappy customers. She said she didn’t want us to leave because they didn’t want to waste the food they had already prepared(which still wasn’t on our table) and they were providing some apps to tide us over. She set down on our table three little bowls of what looked like a cereal and snack mix — something that is usually free snacks at a bar. Finally our food starts arriving, it’s just after 7:30 at this point. It’s not all ready, and the last of it arrived about 7:40. The server made another comment about how challenging large tables are, but that it was great we had our food. One person in our party ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and asked for tomato on the side. She was brought instead a ham and cheese sandwich and when she said it’s not what she ordered, the server actually had the nerve to tell her that she had pointed to that in the menu – actually telling her what was essentially«you’re wrong, you did order this.» Our friend said it was too late at this point and to just cancel the grilled cheese order, she no longer wanted it. But her request went unheeded because a few minutes later he grilled cheese sandwich arrived. By the time my food arrived — mac n cheese — I only had time to take a few bites and had to pack the rest in a to go box.(For what it’s worth, the mac n cheese was really good.) My sister-in-law’s salad came out last and while she was trying to scarf it down the manager person was clearing the table around her. She wasn’t able to eat much of it before we rushed out to make the movie. It was ridiculous to blame a large party as the reason food took over an hour to make it to our table. What is even more ridiculous is that cereal snacks were expected to make up for that. And gratuity was automatically added!(I understand that is common for large parties but this just added insult to injury.) We quickly paid and left to make the movie on time and only after we got home did we realize that the paltry $ 10.50 discount on the $ 200+ bill was the cereal snacks comped on the bill — we were charged for the snacks we didn’t order, and then it was taken off the bill. And the automatic gratuity was calculated on the subtotal, which included the snacks! Granted, it doesn’t add a whole lot, but it does add some, and that’s screws the customer. Furthermore, that ham and cheese sandwich that was brought out originally that we didn’t order — well, we were charge for it, which is more expensive than the grilled cheese. I ordered a soup from another restaurant once, and I didn’t like it – the server noticed that, and they comped it. Even though they brought me exactly what I ordered. Service like that keeps me going back to that restaurant. It’s utterly ridiculous that after our more than hour-long wait for food at the Watershed, all we were given was cereal snacks(that were not good) and actually charged extra because of it. If you do go to this place, order the mac n cheese, it’s tasty. But be forewarned if going in with a large party, they can’t seem to handle it.

I love this place for several reasons. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The food is tasty. I particularly love the curry apple quinoa salad(I always add chicken), the pizza is excellent(you have to try the mac and cheese pizza!) and the weekly specials are always exciting. This place specializes in beer as you can tell by the 21 rotating taps but they also have a full bar for the non-beer fans. This restaurant has become one of my favorites in the Northgate area.

Hubby and I came here with a Groupon the other day for lunch. We ordered the pie fold(which is like a pizza folded) with roast beef, bell peppers, cheese, and onions, and we ordered a large mac n cheese. There was a mix up with our order and we ended up getting a small and a large mac n cheese but because it wasn’t our fault, our server let us take the small mac n cheese home at no charge to us. The pie fold was pretty good. It had a lot of garlic which I loved AND it came with salad which had this lemon poppyseed dressing over it which was YUM. I would recommend~

I like Watershed for the casual atmosphere, parking, location, and the ease of the place. Although food isn’t the star here, they’ve got decent pizza here, definitely recommend the one w/diff meats over other ones. There’s a decent selection of wine, beer, and full bar. HH is daily w/drink specials and small bites. Service has always been decent.

The food here is incredibly bland, dry, hard, you name it. Anything«famous» such as their pretzel is merely a marketing technique to lure foodies and pretzel lovers to their restaurant, only to become severely disappointments. Their late night happy hour menu is more of a joke, as there are about three items on the menu. I guess it could be a good place to have a late nice beer in the Northgate neighborhood. Otherwise, it isn’t worth it.

I’ve been to Watershed several times now. Here’s what I think: — AWESOME beer selection! If you’re interested in craft beer, this is the place to be. 21 rotating taps of interesting, unique, and usually local brews. — Delicious pizza. They do it right. — Fun event schedule, they have events several times per month! However it’s hard to find out this information on their website in my opinion. — The«pie folds»(like an open calzone) are soggy and poorly executed although a great idea. — I was frustrated at brunch that I could not order a grilled cheese at 12:30PM. Also the hashbrowns are gross. — Service is not always great. There’s a bartender I’ve frequently received service from that could use a reboot. Some of the staff just seem confused and distant… I once asked a waitress what their signature«beer bread» was and she did not give me a clear answer. I still don’t know, but it’s good! I will keep going back to Watershed as I am so obsessed with their beer selection. It’s different every time I go in, so I love to experiment. I LOVE their grilled cheese sandwich and pizza, so I will stick with what I know to be delicious.

The star rating would probably be 2.5 if that were an option. I was torn between choosing 2 and 3. I used to come here pretty frequently, not because I enjoyed it, but because it was literally across the street from the office that I used to work at. The food is decent. Not outstanding. I usually ordered the charcuterie plate, which was consistent. Happy hour prices are a joke. Go somewhere else if you’re looking for a good deal. The staff was mostly unfriendly. Even to regulars. Maybe it has gotten better since I was there last. Given the option, I wouldn’t choose this place. I only ever went here out of convenience, and now that I no longer work in North Seattle, I’ll probably never go back.

Watershed is a beer bar with a nice tap list of local beers and ciders and decent food. Promising start! Upon arrival, I wasn’t greeted for some time then when I finally was, it was a very awkward exchange. The hostess checked back with me twice then came over tentatively again. I said«is the table ready?» and she said«yes, follow me». So we went to a booth. Great! She got waters and menus which is nice. But then I waited 10 minutes without anyone coming back. Servers whisked by without an acknowledgement. FInally, I made eye contact with a server and she said«has anyone helped you?» I said no, not yet, but I’d like to order a drink. She then took my order. I got the impression that my table just wasn’t assigned to anyone. I had the Tieton Pumpkin Cider– 8 oz. for $ 6.50. It was pretty good but tasted like canned pumpkin to me(as opposed to pumpkin pie or pumpkin bread, etc.) We got the pretzel with cheese. Good flavor but it’s a very tiny pretzel for $ 4. The house made cheese is just ok. For dinner, we shared the Optimis Grind and another sandwich. Both were good but not exactly what we were expecting based on the description. They are like pressed pita sandwiches, not like calzones which is more what I was expecting. The experience was all around kind of awkward with the hostess and the servers and a lot of waiting. We were there 2 ½ hours between waiting to be seated and all of the time in between. It just seemed like everyone who helped us was new to serving. I would come back if someone suggested it but it won’t be a place I’m running back to with other pubs I really like a lot in the area for the overall experience(food, drink, atmosphere, service). It’s A-OK but could be great with some adjustments!

If you plan on going to see a movie at Thornton Place in Northgate, this is a great place to grab some food & drink before the show. It’s a little tough to find, but there are signs to direct you, it’s on the backside of Thornton Place. Came here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch before our movie, nice looking space, new, clean and relaxing. Sitting at the bar was comfy as well. Menu looked good but the pizzas is what caught our attention. So we decided to order the«Mama’s Pizza». Quite tasty, freshly made with delicious tomato sauce, yummy sausage, those lil spicy peppers, plenty of mozz and topped with a spinach pile. Pizza was nice & thin, perfect for folding to shove in your face. The pizzas are pretty large, I think they are 18″ so its plenty for 2 people. Service was fine, atmosphere was nice, on certain Saturdays, they have a DJ playing some old skool hip hop cuts from R&B to 90’s rap etc. DJ came over to admire our lovely pizza, we tried to share with him but he already had lunch. If I see him at a club, Ill be sure to remind him of our pizza encounter. Overall, I liked this place, definitely a spot I would come back to. Pricing was fine, location is great, and food was tasty.

Most amazing grilled cheese I’ve ever had! Omg! I hymned and hawed over the menu for a long time. Probably longer than most. One of our friends said«don’t get the grilled cheese, you can make that at home!» I made him eat his words. I got the classic grilled cheese with ricotta cheese and chicken added, and tomato soup. LIFECHANGINGAMAZINGNESS! My friend and my husband both got the Folds, which are basically calzones. When they came out though, they were just pizzas folded over. My friend was jealous over my grilled cheese. Ha! Glad that’s what I went with! Amazing grilled cheese, and a huge portion! Pricey for grilled cheese,$ 11 + $ 1.50 for the added chicken, $ 1 for the ricotta and $ 1 for the tomato soup. Expensive ass grilled cheese but well worth it. $ 5-$ 11 for beers. I got the Boundary Bay IPA it was $ 5. My husband and I paid $ 40 for lunch. Pricey, but delicious!

Came here for happy hour on a Thursday(starts at 3pm) with a large party(greater than 10 people) and we got seated immediately. There wasn’t anybody in the pub at the time. Drinks: I wanted a light ale and was open to suggestions. Apparently it was our server’s first day and although he didn’t know the beer selection very well, he recommended the Alaskan White Ale. It was smooth and not too hoppy, so I have to give him props for his suggestion! Food: Right when I saw their happy hour menu, I knew I had to get the half grilled cheese with tomato soup. Been craving this for awhile and there’s this one place in San Diego called«Bread and Cie» that has the most amazing grilled cheese/tomato soup combo you will ever have. This place wasn’t as good but it definitely satisfied my craving! The cheese was gooey and the tomato soup was creamy and delicious. Some places I’ve been to tastes like their tomato soup is out of a Campbell’s can, so at least this place has some legit tomato soup. Some people in my group got the margarita pizza and the garlic sticks, which weren’t anything special, would not recommend getting it. Service: At first, the servers were very attentive and came frequently to check up on us. They gave us good recommendations but as our visit progressed, they came less and less frequently. When we asked for the bill, they were kind enough to split the check(which apparently they don’t do if they’re busy, but since they weren’t that busy, they made an exception). We waited for half an hour, literally, for the checks to come and a few of us needed to leave ASAP to make it on time for work. Overall: 3 stars for their subpar service and their mediocre food. Definitely have had better, but obviously we just came to get a few beers and weren’t even thinking of getting food.

This is just what the Northgate shopping area needed! I have been here three times now and have been pleasantly surprised and pleased each time! Their pizzas are 18″ huge and definitely good to share. Plus they let you half/half it if you are vegetarian and trying to share with a carnivore friend! The salads are also ample in size and fresh-sourced farm to table yummy! Beer selection is great for everyone — gluten free? Check! IPA? Check! Planning on seeing a movie at Regal? Come here first to get your $ 9 tickets — regular price over there is $ 12.50 for evening showings! Then come here after for $ 1 off a drink for everyone in your party — just show your ticket stub! In the back area there’s a place for live bands to set up and play on Sundays and when they aren’t there you can play darts. Music selection has always been on fleet of you ask me. Last time I was there they played all the good stuff from Weezer’s blue album. The time before that they played the Fleet Foxes, Cold War Kids, and the Dodos. Looking forward to coming here many more times in the future!

Food is decent, nothing extraordinary though. I think I would recommend it for beers and cocktails over the food. I ordered the hummus with pretzel sticks and caprese plate. The hummus did not have a lot of flavor and the pretzels were not that fresh tasting. The caprese plate also did not have a lot of taste. I think more vinegar and oil was probably needed. I ordered a cocktail, it was something like a raspberry basil… something. I wish I could remember the name… It was listed on a table tent. It was really good. Very refreshing. They have a lot of beer, wine and a lot of unique cocktails. I like the decorations — beer taps and beer glasses.

Northgate scored with this place. Beautiful interior, pretty solid beer selection. Menu looks like mostly pizza & calzones. It is vegetarian friendly. Their Happy Hour menu was solid. We tried the pretzel and it was DELICIOUS! The cheese sauce was a little odd(cold on the warm pretzel) but not bad. Service was fast & friendly. Looked very family friendly.

A brand-new place in an area that barely has enough old places. Very nice to see it here. It’s a serious beer bar that you can visit strictly for the food or just to relax. They deliver for the beer geek and they deliver for the locals and passersby as well. This is brand-new construction, and will probably always seem like«the new buildings» to me. Northgate had plodded along forever with lots of empty space around it, and even after they added the transit center it seemed to take a while to pick up speed. Now there are multiple movie screens and hundreds of apartments and condos right around here, and the new density of development gives the area a hustle and bustle that hadn’t been here in my lifetime. This mall was something of a hub back when shopping malls were the new thing decades ago, but in the 80s and 90s and 00s, these blocks were crying out for some development. For once, people came in and built a bunch of necessary, high-density stuff without steamrolling something historical and cool. And the result of all this work is a space that can keep something like Watershed humming with activity. Make no mistake about it, though. This is not just a thrown-together«concept» place contrived to take advantage of some high-visibility real estate. Veterans of the beer industry built this place, and they built it to cultivate discerning regulars, along with succeeding among the locals. I keep harping on the development, but there were never multiple floors of apartments full of people right here before, so there’s the potential for a ton of foot traffic here. Makes it easier to think this place can stay viable for quite a while. You will definitely notice when you get here that everything is new. Shiny new concrete ramps and steps outside, big new wooden door with fancy metalwork, brand-new interior that looks no younger than the exterior. There are rows of tables and then there are rows of stools at the bar. Not a huge space, but there are two full walls of floor to ceiling glass, so everything feels bright and airy. The staff are super nice. They’re because they know what they’re doing and they love it, rather than just flirt with customers and make tips. But they’re friendly and fun, too, so it’s kinda the best of both worlds. The menu runs to pub grub, with lots of burgers and sandwiches and pizzas. They also have pizza folds, or pie folds, which are calzones that are open on the edge rather than crimped together. I had one of those, and it was damn fine. My boy C had a Caesar salad, which looked really good, and a side of toasted bread, which was OK. The focus here is not exclusively on beer, but they certainly do focus knowledge and effort on the taps. There are about 20 of them, along with I think at least some wines. The taps range from dependable stuff most people might like up to some really interesting specialty items. They had just finished an imperial stout festival when we came in – «Black and Brew.» 15 imperial stouts pouring. That’s definitely a specialty item not aimed at the casual interloper, and they got some really nice kegs to showcase for it. It’s a small space, so many of them were still pouring by the time we got there. Prices here are pretty fair, and they pour a proper beer through clean lines into correct glassware. I really dig what they’re up to. Rumor has it they do some very nice beer pairing dinners as well. I will definitely be back again and again, especially given that they have such an easy location and so much parking.
