Do you need something specific and only have time to stop at one place? Don’t go here. Could you purchase a range of fruits and veggies, and you are looking for a deal? GOHERE! It’s true, I now have prejudice against the prices of produce at grocery stores because of Lee’s. The prices are INSANE. As other Unilocalers have mentioned, be sure to check expiration dates. This isn’t the place to stock up on stuff because it is typically nearing expiration, but this is TOTALLY the place to go if you want it quick and cheap. The staff is friendly, and I can always find something that tickles my fancy here. Other cool thing– they often have pre-packaged salads from places like QFC and Met Mart that are usually like $ 5; they mark it down much cheaper. I have found Friday afternoon to be my most rewarding times in here. If you haven’t been here, go here and embrace the treasure hunt!

This place has ruined me. There’s no way for me to go into Safeway and buy bananas or carrots anymore. I feel so ripped off going to one of my local grocery stores and buying fruit or veggies. There’s just no way you can go to Safeway and get a box or veggies and fruit for $ 15. I will make two shopping trips if veggies or fruit is needed. I live probably about 10 or 15 minutes away, so in a way, it is «out of the way» for me to come here when Safeway and QFC are about 3 minutes away from me. However, the prices at Lee’s make it worth it. I’m always so surprised when they get done ringing up the two baskets that I have and are like, «$ 17.22.» Like, how!!! Seriously — go support this family and buy your fruits and veggies from them.

Great place to get reduced price produce(because it is generally close to the expiration date). Just make sure that you check the expiration dates and condition of produce before buying. As long as you know this going in, there should be no surprises. The only downside is that the selection can vary wildly from day to day, but that is part of their business model. It just makes for a shopping adventure!

Great little gem in West Seattle/White Center area. In addition to plenty of affordable produce, they also have a good supply of Asian(especially Korean) groceries, which saves me a trip to Uwajimaya!

I LOVE Lee’s! Best kept secret in Seattle. Been going for years and will continue to support this locally owned business.

Great family-owned produce stop tucked out of the way off of 17th. The Nasatkas are friendly and very helpful. Along with groceries they sell homemade kimchi and short rib kalbi, and custom party trays. I haven’t tried these yet, but now i know where to go when I want them! I scored major produce here with the $ 1.25 bags. Took home nopales and righteous shiitakes and sweet, fresh figs. Kicking myself that I didn’t grab the big bag of avocados! I had more than i could eat — I shared with several friends. There are sundries and dry goods inside. Bulk grains are affordable. Lee’s really shines with their produce selection which changes daily, so you need to come in and look around to find the best deals and the freshest stuff. The Java Joint is really popular — I saw an endless stream of patrons while I shopped for my dinner.
