Great experience. Good atmosphere, clean, quick and affordable. Most places around the Wallingford area are very expensive and impersonal so I thought I would try seven on the recommendation of my fiancé. I honestly didn’t think that they did women cuts but they definitely do. I definitely like this place and will be going back. Blane was really awesome. :)
I had a shampoo, cut and blow dry. Definitely worth a visit. I came out with a great haircut and everyone was very nice. It’s also in a really convenient location which makes it easy to stop by when doing errands.

I visited this salon for services for the first time late last summer and had a wonderful experience with a stylist named Melissa. She did an excellent job on my cut and bleach & tone.
I called to make an appointment earlier this month and was told by the owner that she no longer worked there but that a new stylist, Blaine could help me. Unfortunately, I chose to take the gamble since I had had such a great experience with Melissa. I ended up getting a lovely bleach & tone (kudos for that) but the cut was the most worse I have ever received. One side was a half inch longer than the other, one sideburn left completely untouched and worst were the bangs. He cut one side of them to be about an inch long, leaving the other side twice as long. When I asked him to please blend them, he started cutting at the side that was already far too short. I had to stop him and leave afraid to let him cut anymore.
I had to pay for a second haircut to fix the damage he did and it will be another months before my poor bangs look normal again.

Male 28 yo undercut/​pompadour/​coif: Jo did a great job distinguishing between what I and she saw in a picture I brought in. She’s very attentive and works with the natural cow licks in your hair etc. She then provided great enthusiastic instructions on how to style. Would come back again.

I’ve been getting my haircut once a month at Lucky 7 since 2012. Windy has been my stylist the whole time. She does an awesome job. I recommend you make an appointment in advance. Especially for Windy, she tends to book up. The décor inside the shop is pretty cool. When I do drive parking is never an issue.

I’ve been going to Lucky 7 to get haircuts from Windy for over a year now. I went based off a recommendation from my friend who has been a regular for a few years. The place is nice, clean, convenient (in Wallingford), and everyone on their staff I’ve spoken to has been really helpful and friendly. Windy is super talented and I have always left feeling stoked that a got a great, stylish haircut from someone who really takes her time to make sure she does the job right. It’s been a year since my original review and I am still a regular seeing my stylist Wendy. She always does an amazing job! I’m happy to have found a place I can count on. Even though I’ve moved farther away since I started going here, this is still the only place I trust to get my hair cut.

I’ve been getting my haircut by Windy since 2012 when I first moved to Seattle, and I’ll continue to go as Windy does a good job. I have trouble trusting people cutting my hair as it’s thick and troublesome, and she does a good job handling my hair. it’s a situation haha! She also created a new do for me this last year from a picture I brought in, and I’ve gotten many compliments on it. I also enjoy going here because Windy has gotten to know me. She asks me questions and genuinely seems to care about me. The only complaint I would make is a full time receptionist is definitely needed. Often times my haircut is interrupted because Windy has to stop and make appointments; I don’t necessarily think this is her job. Overall, that is a minor complaint, and I’m glad to have her cutting my hair. Btw… Windy gets 5 stars but the shop gets 4 stars.
Updated review: 12÷29÷15 Windy has since left the business, and I’m super glad. The owner is very strange and the energy not so great. Glad I can go elsewhere. Check out Windy Jones Barber if you need a good cut in a chill place. :)

Granted I can only speak about one haircut, but the first time experience there was great. The folks with the scissors are friendly and they will chat you up. They are also really good at what they do or so it seems from how even the hair looks.
Also the dog, Bella (sp?) is a sweetheart and I’ll stop by just to pet her!

Seattle, your best barbershop is in Wallingford (of all places).

I’ve been getting my hairs cut here for a couple of years, and have not had one negative experience. The atmosphere is cool, without being too cool, and everyone from the owner to the stylists, to the receptionist have been consistently friendly.
I’m very particular about my hair, and they do a better than great job each time.
Windy, by far has been exceptional at dealing with my ever-​moving cowlick, and I believe she has cured me of it through a series of immaculate shaping, shaving and styling with each visit. She’s a great talent, and will cut no more or less than you ask.
Highly recommended.

My boyfriend used to get his hair cut at whatever cheap master clips sport cuts or great clips he could find. But let’s face it his hair looked like crap and he always wore a hat to hide it.
I met windy because I work next door at Molly moons. She was friendly and my boyfriend was in need of a haircut so I encouraged him to support the shop next to mine and he did. His hair looks amazing and she always cleans up his beard with no extra charge :) He has gone back to Windy several times now, and has never been disappointed.

I have just found my new favorite place that I’ve ever got a haircut. Sure, they may not do the complimentary shampoo or rinse (don’t even know if they do it period), but never have I had such an awesome experience at a barber’s on the first time I’ve been in.
When I initially walked in, there was one barber/​stylist (La Rhetta) and she was busy. She let me know that’d it’d be a little bit of a wait, so I went next door to Molly Moon’s (really convenient location for an ice cream shop as mentioned by others’ reviews) and got an ice cream, and returned when I was done, right at the time she specified, and was ready to go. Throughout the entire haircut, we held conversation back and forth (this is a first for me, so it was pretty huge) and she even gave me some recommendations on places to check out given some of my interests (another first).
All in all, definitely a place to hit up if you’re ever in the area and need a haircut.

This is the first barber I’ve even felt the compulsion to become a regular at.
This place does seem to have some turn over in a few stylists so try and get one of the regulars.
Ask for Windy, I have gotten everything from conservative cuts to a Mohawk and have never been disappointed. I wouldn’t trust anyone else to give me a Mohawk.

Today’s review. BIG TIME %!! Loretta did a fantastic job with my hair. Positive, friendly. She gets a bit booked. I am glad I had free time at her open time– ok I switched my favorite yoga class. but what are you going to do? Keep on looking like a disaster? or give up one little yoga class and get lookin’ good? Great choice and decision.
She was very careful. She knows a lot of information about varied topics and is a delight to talk with. Her warmth makes you want to grow out your hair to come see her again.

I’ve had 3 good haircuts here, 2 of them from Windy. She is really good with a fade and short haircuts. She doesn’t take it too short though, and will cut your hair the way you want it.
I haven’t experienced any of the rudeness that other people mentioned. In fact, everyone has been really friendly and interesting to talk with.

I have been here multiple times over the past year. When I go, I only let one person cut my hair: Windy. If she isn’t in, I go another day. Expect a great cut without all the frills of a fancy salon.
I would recommend scheduling an appt as they are often booked for walk-​ins. They have late hours too which is great if you work during the day.
Staff are friendly and they don’t push you to buy their products. Prices are a little higher than I would expect for a barber.
Plenty of coffeeshops and ice cream nearby pre or post-​cut.

Another great haircut, this time from Glynn. She spent a long time perfecting the cut, great attention to detail.
If you’re a girl and feeling unsure about Lucky 7 because most of their customers are dudes, here’s a tip: just pick a female stylist with a cute hairstyle. This strategy has never failed me.

I am also here to agree with what seems to be a large swath of people who take issue with the management, and genuinely like Sherry. You can read from other reviews here that she has moved.
My hair dye was a pretty coppery shade for my wedding. The second time at Lucky 7 it turned out a dull purple brown disappointment. Sherry realized the product was not the right one and told me at the end that I could come back within three days to get the color fixed if I wanted. I sort of suffered and wondered what went wrong. Only yesterday I went to Spins and realized what went wrong. The manager/​owner didn’t have color inventory correctly done.
Yesterday I figured out where to find Sherry around the corner. The copper penny red is back.

My last visit was graced by a manager’s rude confrontation. She proceeded to ask me if I was there to score drugs from one of her employees. She refused to give me her first name so all I can tell you is she is the tallest one with curly brown hair. I have never been treated so poorly at an establishment in Seattle, much less any of the other places I’ve lived…
I like small business owners. I really do. This place has some growing up to do.
