Store front looks like ramen stands in Japan. I am not a big fan of ramen but this place is so good even my Japanese friend approves! Plus they offer unlimited cooked eggs when other places charge you. Nothing beats unlimited eggs. Food is slow though compared to other ramen shops.

It’s definitely one of the better ramen places in Seattle. But keep in mind that this place is very small, so seating is definitely limited. There’s about 2 tables on the top floor and about 7 on bottom floor. There is a wait list to sign in for. Food wise– I love the soft egg noodles that came with my original chicken ramen. The broth was a bit salty, and a bit too rich compared to the ones that I’ve had in Japan, but I can see some people liking the richer flavor(just not my thing). For the price of $ 8.50, its not a bad price and comes with unlimited soft boiled eggs. Along with that, black mushroom fungus, thinly sliced green onions, a slab of pork belly and thin slice of chicken breast. One thing though is I wish that they have shichimi(7 pepper spices) as a condiment. It’s common to use that or coarse black pepper on top of the noodles. Service was fast and efficient, despite its only a 3 man running the whole place!

I love this joint! If you’re looking for tasty ramen, this is the place! Really cozy and friendly staff. The spicy original ramen and pork bun are a must eat! And did I mention unlimited eggs? Yum!

Ramen man is my favorite ramen place in Seattle. Can’t beat unlimited soft boiled eggs and the richest chicken based broth around… I have dreams about their spicy original ramen! The char siu is perfectly cooked — they give you pork and chicken — and you have your choice of egg or wheat noodles. It may not be the most traditional ramen, but it is so tasty! It’s a tiny shop, so expect a wait if you go during peak dinner hours — but it’s worth it. They staff are always friendly and welcoming and make you feel at home in their small cozy spot. We go here at least once a week. So good!

Very small location so expect a wait, almost always. Ramen isn’t my favorite food so I can’t say I’m very excited about ramen in general but the ramen here is pretty good and decently priced. It’s quite salty, however and I don’t think you can adjust the sodium level like at some other restaurants. You can get unlimited soft boiled eggs with ramen which is pretty neat. The last time I dined here I decided to try out the very few non-ramen dishes and got the sukiyaki with onsen egg. I think it was under $ 7 but you can also order a side dish version of this for around $ 4. The meat was very very flavorful — so good. It’s a lot of rice, so it did fill me up a lot. I was pleasantly surprised by this! The only other non-ramen thing I’ve had here is the pork bun. It wasn’t special in my opinion and overpriced. Better off getting ramen.

Still on my quest to find the perfect bowl of ramen I found this place from another Unilocaler. She recommended this place and I wasn’t dissappointed. The ramen was great and used the straight noodles vs the wavy, I wasn’t a big fan of the straight noodles before but have gotten used to them. Unlimited eggs…

I’ve never had a chicken-based ramen broth before so I’m not sure how to compare it with the other ones. However, I think I prefer pork-based broth much better. I tried their Spicy Miso Ramen, which of course isn’t spicy at all. They have an all-you-can-eat boiled egg if you’re into that… I can’t imagine anyone eating any more than a few of those though. I semi-enjoyed my dish but I couldn’t finish everything. I guess I’m a ramen snob because I compare all ramen restaurants to my favorite ones in LA. My next city to explore is NY ramen! We also ordered their gyoza and those were delicious! Service is great! The restaurant itself is small and cozy.

Decent enough, but not the haven of Japanese cuisine some reviews are making it out to be. It’s a neat little quaint Japanese style shop and all — like something you might actually see in Japan. Usually these little tiny hole in the wall nooks in Japan are the best places… as far as Ramen Man goes, it’s just decent. The 3 types of ramen we tried all were ok, the gyoza was ok, the donburi was good but the portion was really small. All in all, if this place wasn’t constantly packed full with a waiting list and all, it might be worth popping in once in a while, but while everything is decent, it’s just not worth standing outside in the cold over.

I wish Seattle had more ramen places! We’ve done take out several times, but never ate in. I don’t like that they charge $ 1.00 for take out, but the containers are pretty heavy duty. We’ve tried a variety of the ramens, and I think the Spicy Miso is my favorite. The spicy bit is served on the side, so you can control how spicy you want it. Love the unlimited soft boiled eggs! I do wish the meat portion was larger. You only get two small slices of meat. I also wish you could call ahead and order, but their policy is you must be present to place a take out order. Pork buns are also quite good. I’m sure we’ll be back.

My friend who’s a chef took us here for a hangover breakfast/brunch one day promising that this place would satisfy us to the fullest. And you know what? ITDID!!! I fell in love with their heartfelt ramen, the spicy ones were actually very spicy so be careful. Make sure you order the ice canned coffee, it’s the bomb!!! And they let you have as many hard boiled eggs as your belly desires. Say what!!! Such an AWESOME place!!!

Ramen Man is what I imagine a ramen shop would look like if I ever went to Japan. It’s a tiny, cozy little shop located on the corner of the street with not a lot of seating. My boyfriend and I decided to come by on a cold Seattle night around 5:30pm, so luckily, there was plenty of seating for us. The menu is pretty simple — ramen and the options of a few appetizers. He got the spicy miso($ 9.50), and I got the spicy shoyu($ 9). You have the option of getting flour or egg noodles, and we both settled for egg noodles. The portions are a perfect amount in my opinion, and they definitely don’t hold back on the amount of noodles. I kind of wish they had more broth though. The broth wasn’t spicy enough for me, and I felt like it lacked a little bit of flavor. From reading Unilocal reviews, I guess they give you unlimited eggs? Our server, unfortunately, didn’t mention anything about it, so we didn’t know until after we left. Bummer(I love soft boiled eggs.) I wouldn’t go out of my way for this again, but I’d definitely come back if I was in the area.

Great locally owned Ramen shop! Seems like this place is always poppin’. Service is friendly and prompt! Their broth is very good, and not salty compared to other Ramen places that I’ve been to in the Seattle area. Like hard boiled eggs? You get as many as you want here with your order.

I have been looking for Ramen Man for long time as it is highly recommended by my co-workers. Every time I am around Wallingford area I am looking for it but missed every try. It turns out it a very small restaurant hidden among others. If you just try by, you probably will miss it. My wife and I ordered 2 different ramen favors, one is original and one is garlic favor. I found the original is better as garlic is too strong. We also try the pork belly bun and found it so so. Overall it is just another ramen house and nothing out of ordinary.

I really didn’t like the ramen here, but I guess since I’m not a big fan of ramen anyways. I had wonderful service from the guys who work here. Once I left(was just walking to Molly moons) the waiter ran after me to ask if I left this black beanie, but sadly it wasn’t mine! Pleasant service but I didn’t like my ramen.

When I moved to Seattle area yrs ago, it was pretty hard finding a decent ramen place here. Over the time, more and more ramen stores moved into our beloved Emerald city. Samurai ramen, Santouka, Arashi… we got lots of choices now. Some are good, some are just soso. As to Ramen Man, it’s definitely one of the good ones. The place is pretty small but very cozy, with a nice around the corner Japanese ramen house atmosphere. The yellow lighting, tight space, wood chair and table… The ramen is in tradition style. The waiter asked us what kind of noodle we want, egg noodle or flour noodle. It’s a good sign that the owner is pay attention to the details. Unlike many other ramen stores, their soft boiled egg comes separately in a small plate. You can peel the shell off yourself, and choose to either put it in the broth, or just eat it plain with soy sauce. The broth is great. I ordered the shoi ramen, which is very salty but very delicious, as the broth supposed to be back in Japan. It got lots of flavors and went great with the straight flour noodle I ordered. Love all the textures of this dish. The meat is really soft and tender, almost melt on your tongue. The noodle is medium firm absorbing all the flavors from broth. The salty broth added nice taste to the soft boiled egg, too. This is definitely one of the best ramen I’ve ever had, in both flavor and texture. My wife ordered their spicy ramen with egg noodle, which got quite a punch but also very tasty. We ordered the bun for our son. He loved the pork belly meat inside the bun. The sliced pork is tender and juicy with the distinctive balanced flavor from soy sauce’s saltiness and sugar’s sweetness. Absolutely love the place. If I’m in the area again, this would definitely be my first choice for lunch.

I’ve basically been a ramen man evangelist! Loved the food and people, have told everyone I know and gotten them more then a few new customers… I even wrote and great review BUT then I came tonight… There was a line and I put my name on clipboard and sat in a seat– waiting. Oops my bad, apparently the seat I sat in was for«customers» and so someone came and told me so(as if I wasn’t customer) and that I needed to wait standing or outside. Long story short they sat a party of 2 at a 4 person table and I sat in the«extra» chair(that also happened to be in their waiting area). People actually sitting at table had no problem and actually apologized for restaurant making scene. The beauty of this place has always been service considering that 4649(a far superior ramen place) is literally a few steps down street and has better broth…

Small place, first time. I had a miso ramen, it was just okay. Nothing too special. The only decent part of this place, all you can eat boiled eggs. Overall I wasnt impressed for a first time. I definitely had better. 3 stars because The service was great. They were friendly.

Not much to say about this place besides it’s the only one I know that gives you ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT-BOILED-EGGS! That means be careful — don’t eat those eggs to the point of hurling. Ramen Man is a small ramen joint tucked away in the heart of Wallingford. Convenient location if you want to be a fat kid and get some Molly Moon’s Ice Cream afterwards, which is something I may or may not have done after eating ramen there. As with the quality of the ramen, it is OK but not great. To be honest, there are better ones out there considering the spicy miso ramen I had did not seem very special. Would I come back here again? Maybe if I wanted to eat a bunch of boiled eggs.
