Nicest laundromat I’ve been to. Machines are well maintained and clean which is the most important thing with a laundromat in my opinion. I’ve been to some dingy laundromats and always leave wondering if my clothes are really clean. The space is bright and welcoming, and the staff are always really nice and willing to help if you do have an issue. It is probably a little more expensive than most laundromats, but a couple the extra bucks is worth it to me to have a great environment. Plus free parking in the back.
The bar a few doors down called the dray is nice too. I usually pop in for a beer and a flat bred pizza while waiting on my clothes to finish

I been to a lot of laundry but Lunar is the best i ever saw. Good ambiance, not café in Paris good but Laundromat good. All newer machines will take your double sleeping bags [ and be sure to wash em before the next burn campers. ] Clean, well lit etc…

Great laundromat but it’s sometimes too crowded for my taste. Also, one of their commercial washers once destroyed one of my mattress covers, so don’t attempt to wash one of those if you wish for it to survive. The location is awesome, with plenty of bars to hangout at while you wait for your clothes to wash. As far as laundromats go it rarely gets better than this.

I really like that this place is so clean and affordable: it’s only a couple blocks from home which is awesome. There is soda machines; and an ATM which is great! There is also snacks for purchase and they’re very cheap. They have laundry bags for purchase as well and carts to move your laundry. There is free wifi which is awesome! Great place to do laundry. And there is near by shops if you don’t wanna wait there for the whole time.

The staff here is AMAZING! It’s so nice to go to a laundromat that there is actual help and they are so pleased to be in service to you. Friendly, joyful, capable and welcoming. Yes it’s a bit more expensive then most laundromats but it’s worth it. I appreciate the detail to the cleanliness as well as the extra hand if you need it. Yay for Lunar Laundry.

It’s clean and good location. It’s one of my favorite places. I’m easily entertained.

Cleanest laundromat I’ve ever been to and it has the most reasonable prices in Seattle by far. I will definitely be a regular.

I am an out of state road tripper and I found this laundromat on Unilocal.The attendant was very helpful and explained the various costs and helped me to select the most time and cost effective options for my needs as I am passing through. Plenty of places to relax, places to have coffee nearby, Goodwill is across the street (shopping!!). Friendly atmosphere and the facilities are well maintained and clean.

I hate doing laundry. A lot. My own house has a quarter machine, but I prefer coming here to bust all my laundry out fast. The staff here is really friendly, machines are clean and quick. I guess it could be considered a little on the pricey end, but it’s a good value for the large size and speed of the washers and dryers. The four load dryer is clutch. Plus free wifi, dollar and quarter machines, ATM, pay by pound pick up laundry… They make laundry a more pleasant experience.

I love this place!!! I travel from south Seattle to do my laundry here. It is so clean! And very cheap! And the staff will help you with anything you need. They have a lot of different sized washing machines too so you could do all your bedding or half a load.

The place is clean, well-​lit, easy to access. There are lots of washing machines and plenty of dryers. If you need cash to convert to coins, there is an atm. There are also games and a little service counter, with an attendant. The place also has free wifi.
Overall, a solid place to clean your cloths and other soiled items.

A little on the pricey side.
Machines are coin operated.
Parking lot is TIGHT and spaces are limited… plan accordingly.
Staff is super sweet and approachable.
Best of all there’s wifi.
So bring yo’ laptop and get started on that novel you’re always talking’ about. (wink)

I’m here on a Tuesday morning, and it’s not too crowded. Nice environment with free wifi. Bright, spacious. Nice attendant. Clean machines. Free wifi! They have a good website with all prices listed (~$ 2.75 per regular wash load; ~$ 1.25 for regular drier load). I brought my dog’s bed to wash and put it in one of the large load washers. Wish I had known that if I had just dropped it off for them to wash, it only would have cost $ 10.
Tips:
–Free parking in the back or right out front
–Come before 0900 for cheaper wash prices!
–Make sure you look at the signs — and you know the difference between the super washers (4 loads, 6 loads, regular loads) and the super driers (4-​loads and regular loads). Prices are different as well.

Plenty of machines even though it’s busy. Lots of places to plug in your charger for laptop or phone.

I love coming to Lunar’s! It’s always clean, machines are well maintained and the staff are always nice. just for that alone makes me not mind paying the extra couple of quarters! Keep it up you guys!

This place is awesome. Our 5yr washing machine decided to not work any more (so not awesome) and I was left with figuring out where to do laundry. Fortunately we live near Lunar Laundry. I had seen it many times since I visit Ballard Goodwill and have been to the various eating establishments along the strip (I think LL is where the Crash Landing Pizza place used to be or something). ANYWAY. I have seen LL and now I knew I had to become a patron/​supporter.
My first visit was a little intimidating. I took a Monday off and slept in a bit, to arrive there at like 9’ish. That was the first mistake. The place was buzzing and though I had read up on the various machines via the website, I felt lost. I was lucky and parked it in front of two 4-​load machines as they were finishing up and when it was my turn to load up, the gal working there gave me some pointers.
Once my wash was going I was able to breathe and take in the surroundings. As others mention, it is extremely clean. When the laundromat is staffed, the staff is constantly cleaning. They empty the drier lint, then they vacuum/​swiffer the floors. The tables where you can fold clothes are also pretty clean though there is a towel dispenser in case you wish to wipe away any lint or fuzz that may have been left behind. There is a restroom (which I haven’t visited yet), free wifi, an ATM and coin changer, vending machines for drinks and laundry supplies, a small sink for rinsing stuff, they sell snacks in the back office too. The counter along the front entrance windows has a long power strip. There’s usually plenty of seating inside and out. They do have A/​C but on a hot day, that won’t help very much so they’ll have fans. The laundry carts are also plentiful and clean.
The parking lot around back is tight and I generally do not park there unless I have to. The best parking would be on the street right in front, because then you can go straight in. If you parked in the back (best to back into the parking spot) and used the side door, it has a tight turn upon entry and then you walk down a ramp and there’s a picnic table there, usually with people waiting. This way is a little hard to maneuver if you have a large bin vs a laundry bag like I do.
I suppose the price for the wash can be expensive. If I use the 4-​load, and indicate a medium dirt level, the wash is $ 5 (otherwise it’s $ 4.75, I think). In going every 2 wks, you will find me at a 4-​load machine. The driers are great, I use the biggest ones they have and for $ 2, things are dried quite well. I don’t know if it super matters, but if you can grab the drier after the lint has been cleared away, I think it helps with the drying. Also, don’t immediately (if you can/​no one is waiting for a machine) remove your clothes from the drier since the heat is still trapped in there. I don’t know if either of those tips help, but I like to think they do since I haven’t experienced problems.
Otherwise, I have felt completely ok with leaving my clothes to get coffee or to check out Goodwill. I set a timer on my phone to know when to return because if they are busy, someone WILL remove your stuff from the machine.
Each machine will have a basket image on it to indicate how many loads it can hold. I find this subjective, because I don’t use a basket and if I did, is it the same size basket they are thinking of? However, I have figured out a way that it works for me and I have overheard the employees advise folks that they can fit more clothes in or whatever. I have talked to a few of them and they are all very nice and helpful.
At most, I might use two 4-​load machines (esp if one is bedding), and 2 driers, so it’s $ 14, which for 2wks of clothes works out to be $ 1 a day and that’s not bad at all. I found that going Saturday morning by 8am is very chill and laid back. I’ve gone after work before and it’s quite busy. All the machines will shut off at 9.30p regardless of the paid time left, so plan to have your stuff in a drier no later than 9p.
They do offer a drop off laundry service, you can tell when the staff are using the machines when they put a cover over the money slot of the machines. If you find yourself needing a machine that hasn’t been emptied and it’s one of these covered-​up ones, ask a staff member and they can remove the items so you can use the machine.
Other tips I can suggest, would be to obtain your quarters (or dollar coins) before coming here because the money machines and nearby businesses can be tapped out. Bring a few hangers for the stuff that isn’t supposed to be dried in the machine. Fold your clothes when they come out from the drier (after coming here several times I would say most people do not fold their clothes and just cram everything into their bags and leave). They also randomly code a machine for a free wash that ticks on after the first quarter is submitted. I got one of those once and was so excited!
Anyway for the time being, it’s not so bad having to go to a laundromat.

I came to wash two king size comforters that require an industrial size washer. I came here because of good reviews on Unilocal,that was a mistake.
Multiple machines were out of order without signs on them and all three of the quarter machines were empty. The surrounding businesses were out of quarters because of the laundromat. The washing machines are expensive and they don’t do a great job.
I managed to get one comforter washed but not dried. I will not be back.

Apartment dwellers — laundry is a bitch, right?
I live in a 8-​unit building with 1 washer and 1 dryer. And although I know that’s not a lot of people, I do find myself fighting for laundry time. And on top of that, I have to «dry» my clothes at least 2 – 3 cycles before they dry (and that can get expensive when you wait until the last minute to wash everything… like I do).
I recently found myself with an expectant house guest and NOTHING clean. No towels, no bedsheets, clothes, etc. OVERWHELMED, I looked for laundromats in the area that were open late. I found Lunar Laundry on Unilocal,and I chose to go here not only for the proximity to my residence but also because they are open until 10 pm. FYI — Open until 10 pm, but the machines stop at 9:30 pm.
The place was relatively empty considering it was a weekend, which was nice. There are super washers and dryers (which cost around $ 5-​$ 6 per load) that take about 30 minutes and will hold up to 3 loads of laundry. I chose to go with the standard-​size dryers, because those things usually have the industrial strength of Godzilla. Those cost a quarter for every 6 minutes.
All in all, I spent about $ 30 total for around 6 loads of laundry. Although you do need quarters, there is a change machine for your dollars. And there is a liquor store within walking distance if you need to access an ATM. I was in and out within an hour or so. Not too shabby.
There is also a laundry drop-​off option. I didn’t inquire as to the price, but it seems like it is probably the best (and cheapest) way to go if you have lots of laundry.

The cleanest little laundromat in Seattle. I needed an extra large machine to wash my bed cover and didn’t want to take my chances on the sketch pads in the U-​district which lo’ and behold lead me here.
I actually found myself relaxed admits the swirling pounds of laundry with hardly an annoyed person in sight. It is a bit more spendy than I had anticipated. A small washer will run about $ 2.50 and goes up from there once you hit the larger washers.
While you’re waiting you can also pop into a local bar next door or hit the juice/​smoothie bar down the street.
