This is a favorite spot for our family to visit on the weekends. It’s clean, pretty, and safe. One of the best features for us is the new playground, completed in late 2004 or early 2005 — so many fun and different things to play on and with! Definitely one of the best playgrounds in Seattle. Contrary to Colby’s experience, we have seen the playfield itself being used quite a bit for soccer practices and games, as well as baseball games. And yes, the tennis courts are a bonus as well. They are free and in decent shape, and it’s usually easy to get on one. In the summer they also offer tennis lessons there.

The 15 acre park has a baseball field that is always empty(strange it being summer), a play area for the little ones(this is the hot spot for families), but the real draw for me are the public tennis courts. The four courts have a nice surface with relatively nice nets. The grade could be a bit better as your balls consistently roll into the neighboring court(if you’re on the high side). The courts seem to always be available, even on hot summer Saturdays, making good value for your money… free can’t be beat. Cheers!
