Nice to have this spot in Magnolia, but I wish they would put out more clothes! They seem to never be accepting new items and yet I rarely find anything I’m looking for. Friendly staff though and nice play area.

I just wanted to give parents a heads up regarding the consignment experience I had here recently. We just moved from Ballard to Mukilteo and thought I’d stop by Wish Upon children’s consignment to consign two small bags of clothes. I was in the area cleaning out the last few things left in our apartment in Ballard waiting for my son to finish his morning at school. At 9:30, I was the first one in the store. No one else was in the store. I was ready to begin the consignment process when the lady working asked if I had an appointment. I said no, and she got out her appointment book. She said it may be a month out before I can schedule you one. I said no thank you and left the store with my bags. I was a bit turned off that there is no mention of needing of an appointment here on Unilocal.Plus, it looked to me like she had time to shift through my two small bags of clothes as an exception because she was not busy. I write this to encourage you to call before coming in.

A clean, well organized space with lots of lovely clothes and toys. Spotless bathroom and a dedicated, gated play space for the kids make it a winner for the kiddos. Save your receipt for a discount at Serendipity Café across the street for a coffee break after your shopping. I’ve bought and sold here and have had good experiences with both. Yes, the appointments to consign will likely be a couple weeks to months out, but knowing this, I just plan ahead. They have typically accepted 2⁄3 to all of the things I have brought in for consignment. With the closure of Mom and Me, they have had more consignors and clothes to choose from and have been a bit more choosy. This shop is a bit out of the way unless you live in Queen Anne or Ballard, but worth the trip. Make a day of it by visiting Discovery Park or the nearby library afterwards.

Boutique style consignment store. Very nice environment but a higher price tag overall. More baby girl items as usual. Found two items that were about half price of retail but were in average condition. Probably won’t make a second trip.

I used to manage a store in Magnolia village so I would go in a few times a week to shop for my son. I would usually find play clothes for him, but nothing above GAP styles. I decided to bring in some of his clothes and shoes to sell all of which was north face, volcom, and mostly nordstrom purchases. The sales person told me I had too much and needed to make an appointment. The first available one was 3 weeks out! I told her what I had was high end good stuff for the summer and waiting 3 weeks into summer would mean missing out on these great summer finds I had. So I went to selas small couture in Queen Anne and they bought all but 2 items, I had like 30 pieces. The best part is that they gave me cash in the spot, there is no waiting to sell anything! Recently I tried calling wish upon again because I had a lot of toys and books along with clothes(selas doesn’t take toys and books). When I told the salesperson over the phone I wanted to make an appointment she told me November was the next available appointment!!! I couldn’t believe it, a resale consignment shop turning away customers? 4 months out on appointments, I think they should re evaluate their business model. They also need to consider carrying some higher end brands for resale, after all it is magnolia :). I won’t be attempting to sell here again, they don’t make it easy

We buy and sell here. They are more reasonable/practical about what they accept to sell(doesn’t have to be from the most recent season, just has to be a stylish item in good condition, etc.). Prices are pretty good if you are purchasing. They don’t try and cram as much in the way some of the other consignment stores do so it’s easier to wade through everything. There was only one time when I wasn’t able to find what I was looking for. They do an excellent job of using FB to let you know when they are having sales or specials on consigning(as in if they are looking for more toys, books, etc. you can come in within certain time frames without an appointment.) They have a play area for kids, which is super convenient. A few times I’ve run into a salesperson who could have been friendlier, but they are generally pretty nice.

This is a very pleasant business to visit. The atmosphere is laid back and very clean and orderly. All of the clothes and toys are neatly organized and it’s easy to find the sizes you are looking for. They even have a gated kids play area with a half wall around it so you can drop your kids in there while you shop. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they carry only the highest quality used goods. Definitely a good place to shop if you have kids under the age of 5.

We’ve both sold and purchased a variety of items from Wish Upon and have been very satisfied with our experiences. The store is very intelligently laid out and there is a very convenient gated and padded space for small children to play while parents shop. Unlike a lot of consignment stores WU selects and organizes things really well so you aren’t digging through old, dirty or usele

Love this new spot! So glad they are in Magnolia. Perfect for grabbing a new set of bottles to a holiday outfit. Great range of brands and the play area is key!

I went to opening day and picked up DKNY, GAP, Jack and Jill and like– new pajamas for my daughter and son. They have tons of shoes and racks upon racks of clothes that are neatly organized. The enclosed play area for kids is clean and it was invaluable to have that while I shopped.
