A rough breakdown of my brain usage when chatting with Mel:
5% conversation (consequently it’s normally about the weather or something lame).
5% breathing and other bodily functions (very important).
90% repeating the phrase «Don’t ogle/​stare. Eyes are on the face» over and over.
I’m normally buzzed (Thank you so very much, Elite events. No, seriously) and thus I normally end up staring/​glancing excessively.
DAMMIT!!!

Mel’s Diner… Not sure I would give that place 5 stars, but for godsakes, a waitress named Flo who offers her grits for the kissing, a waitress named Alice who sings the theme song (that Stay Tuned covers, thank you very much
), and a gruff cook named Mel who seems rough and tough on the outside but is sweet on the inside. (See photo for cast if you don’t remember this show)
