Love the friendly people there and they’re so quick that it’s amazing when I’m swooping by to pick up food for lunch. The food is so amazing I couldn’t recommend a better teriyaki restaurant! My boyfriend and I go at least once a week.

Solid teriyaki place in Georgetown. Price and value is really good. Their spicy chicken is my go to if I swing by. I haven’t had any problems with the service. Lots of parking spots and the restaurant is fairly big, so wait times for food isn’t bad.

Awful. Owners refused service to a middle eastern couple. I will never support prejudiced bigots.

Heard this place had good teriyaki. Didn’t get a chance to try it because as I’m walking in I noticed cockroaches crawling on the entry door. So unless you like dining with roaches id go somewhere else.

My husband and I just got food poisoning from this place on 08÷07÷15. We ordered general taos with brown rice to-go for dinner(8pm) and started getting sick at midnight. Do not eat here!!! We will be reporting the restaurant first thing tomorrow morning when public health opens! You’ve been warned!

I was going to Mikou quite frequently until recently. A couple weeks ago, the small, grumpy gentleman answering the phone misheard my order. We had a simple miscommunication, but instead of providing quality customer service, he threw a hissy fit. Now, he will not let me order over the phone and cowardly hangs up. I know he has a lot of time to pout and smoke cigarettes out back, but some of us are in a hurry and need to call in the order. I will not be going back due to his lack of customer service and inability to recognize a(previous) loyal customer. I Luv Teriyaki is right across the street and the food is very comparable, if not better. The customer service there is much better!

Best teriyaki lunch special in Georgetown. Won and Vicki and great at keeping the wait short. They have all the sauces out so you can add as much as you want. Try the spicy chicken.

Very good teriyaki! Not the best in the world but the portions are large and I am never disappointed. Also the people who work there are friendly and accommodating.

I alternate between Mikou and I luv Teriyaki(right accross the street) for my lunch teriyaki fix, but I do end up at I luv Teriyaki more often, even though Mikou has better quality and tasting food. Why? Because of their efficiency. With I luv Teriyaki, I can drive the 5 blocks there and pick up my food with only the line to the cashier as my wait time. Every time I’ve ordered with Mikou, even if I wait 10 minutes before heading there, I still end up waiting 10−15min there after paying to pick up my order. The food is better, their teriyaki chicken isn’t as dry as I luv Teriyaki and the salad is better, but during the work day, time is money, and currently I would only go to Mikou if I’m not in a hurry.

This place is literally the best. I always order the fried chicken wings and my husband gets the spicey chicken teriyaki. Both are delicious. If you want good food, fast, come here. We call ahead and our order is always ready as soon as we get there, but even when we sit down to eat, they serve us quickly. Even when they are very busy(and it does get very busy during lunch time), they are still fast. We have been coming here for years and they ALWAYS know it’s us on the phone by what we order and even when I forget to ask for«no salad, extra rice», they do it for me anyway. Recently, I sent my husband to pick up the food and they asked him if I wanted my extra sauce since I didn’t ask for it. They’re awesome. Very friendly, family-owned business. Do yourself a favor and try this place — you won’t be disappointed.

Last time I was here, it was before I developed a palate, one that is of a food critic! This time, I’m laying the hammer down after what I have tasted. The lunch special combo of Chicken Teriyaki and Gyoza was not good. The chicken was grilled perfectly, but the teriyaki sauce was way too salty! Teriyaki is supposed to be sweet, not Morton-like! I think I’m going to call them Mortonyaki. It was a plus when they have their salad dressing on the table with the condiments, so that I can squeeze the sauce into the meal, as the dressing has some sweet goodness to it. The salad had no flavor; it didn’t matter if I squeezed anymore salad dressing into it, the salad just eats up the flavor. The gyoza was good and crispy. Rice was hard and because of that difficult to swallow. Oh yeah, the coke was good. Didn’t do the restroom drill, so don’t know if it is clean though. Place that I can say bye-bye!

The food tastes delicious, the prices are worth paying for, the service is very quick even if it seems a bit busy, so this place is worth trying!

Wow! I must say, this place has very quick service despite the busy lunch hour rush. Came in today with a coworker for the first time and already at 11am, the line was almost out the door. Ordered a katsu and chicken teriyaki combo and it was tasty! :) My order was ready in less than ten minutes, hot and fresh. The katsu had a nice crunch to it, without it being too oily from being deep fried and the sauce was quite savory. I’m happy to say that my chicken teriyaki wasn’t drenched in the sauce like other places and it was seasoned pretty well. This place gives you a lot of rice too! Also, for the salad side, you have the option of adding the dressing on your own. So don’t freak out if you see the naked salad without it’s usual sweet like dressing. :) Despite the huge line, the place looks like it always has a few empty seats for dining in. The employees definitely work hard to clean the tables as quickly as they can. Parking may be a bit difficult but this place is well worth the effort for the quick service and food that they provide. Definitely coming back to try out other dishes.

Great food and fast service! I’ve heard nothing but good things about this place. However, I can not get pass ignorance and disrespect. I dont disrespect anyone, especially when they are making my food. Ive only been here twice and the SPICY chicken was amazing. SPICY! Ordered half SPICY chicken/reg for the two kids I have. No big deal I expect everything in one box. Correct on their part. When I got there, I asked for another box or plate so I can split the SPICY chicken and the regs. She tells me «Everything goes in one box besides the salad.» Ok cool. «Can I get a seperate container or plate please? My kids food needs to be seperated.» What did the sweet lady tell me? «No, thats just the way we do it here.» Wtf is that suppose to mean? Isnt the customer always right? I mean shit I wasnt rude about it and I dont mind paying a stupid fee for extra to-go stuff. I shouldnt have even bought the food, but my kids were hungry and grumpy. Honestly, I did really like this place. It was my 2nd timd there in half a week. I just wish they had sone common sense. Im nice, I pay, I tip… I expect the same mutual respect. I was going to give them 5 stars but from the first visit to now, they changed my mind. Peace

I’ve been going here off and on for more than 10 years. It is the kind of place where laborers like to go to eat. The portion size is generous. The food is always fresh and the counter staff is friendly. They always have a daily special and if your not sure what you want they have pictures of the meals to help you decide if it looks good it is good.

Awesome teriyaki period. Freshly prepared, great textures, smells and flavor! It’s simple but clean. Kind of feel like you are on an assembly line when ordering but who cares if your food is practically ready while you sign. Incredibly fast, even for teriyaki. Not much left to desire sans a little love at the register. Go now! Stop looking for where to eat. My GF says she chooses food based on pictures… picture a great looking teriyaki menu board… just like that.

With I Love Teriyaki right across the street, one wonders if there’s enough business for two? The answer is yes, if both are good enough, and Mikou Teriyaki is definitely good enough. THEGOOD: The teriyaki is good(I had a chicken/pork spicy combo). Not spectacular, but definitely better than your average teriyaki joint. Pleasant dining space, and they are Indy pit crew fast when it comes to getting your order out(a real plus when you’re on a tight schedule!). Large menu with a lot of good-looking items, I’ll definitely be back. Good portion sizes and good value for money. ROOMFORIMPROVEMENT?: Nothing I can see. For what it is, MT is A-OK. THEVERDICT: A solid, blue-chip performer, Mikou Teriyaki will not disappoint, with teriyaki that is as good as any, and better than most. The blisteringly fast service will be handy for diners in a hurry. I say check them out!

Holy Balls Batman! The chicken katsu here is some of the most delicious, moist, grease popplingly good fried chicken I have had. Ever. Nestled at a corner on 4th Ave S, this little teri joint isn’t particularly friendly to look at from the inside. The inside is a little worn down, but was clean and tables and chairs were wiped down regularly while I ate my food with my Dad. But that katsu! Dayum! If I could eat this 2 – 3 times a week for the rest of my life and suffer no ill health effects, I would do it. I do like that the ubiquitous, mandatory sauces and accoutrements often associated with teriyaki are available at each table in squeeze bottle format– allowing each person to partake in as little or as much as they’d like. Which for me, means squeezing that weirdly vinegar based ranch salad dressing over everything and making my food look vaguely like a bukake porno scene.

I saw good rating and stopped by, picked up food for both me and my friend. Location: SODO/Georgetown, there’s parking in front of the restaurant. That’s totally great! It’s easy to spot because it’s right next to US Bank. Parking lot is PACKED, I guess, because this teriyaki place shares a parking lot with phở place next door. Décor: It’s a bit run-down and dark inside. But, when I was there picking up food, this place was PACKED. There’s a shared bathroom with the phở place next door. Food: I bought«today’s special.» It was spicy chicken and katsu pork. I switched my rice to brown rice. It cost $ 1 extra which is fine. Both specials come with salad. When you get salad to go, it just didn’t taste as fresh. I didn’t try the katsu pork I ordered for my friend, but it didn’t look very appetizing. I feel my spicy chicken didn’t taste as good as customers recommended. It tasted like katchup to me unfortunately. :-( Service: 5 Stars to the service. I was able to get in and out with my food in 5 minutes(Parked, ordered, paid, used the bathroom, and picked up the food) The owner/cashier lady was very friendly. Perhaps, it was a bad day. I’d like to give something else soon in the future.
